This options offer more utility. Becoming a weapon is a bad idea all around in forge verse, what with cultivation stripping what makes you a person away the higher you go, at least, in the empire.

While i do want to have a more offense oriented attack art, having the insights paired with the art development is somewhat annoying.

A great thing about this option is that it has uses outside of combat. Sure, having an insta-kill button is nice, but knowing the core motivation of whatever noble or spirit we're talking to is nicer, especially since we're going to do more talking than fighting anyway.

We're going to have a whole lot more than one high-level insight.

And the thing about weapons and tools? Tools are for everyday use. Weapons you should only pull out when you intend to kill somebody.

Turning a tool to violence stains that tool irreparably.

Yeah, and as such its a good thing Want is not our primary offense trait.

And we know that, those that strip their soul to become weapons both become stuck and can hardly if ever advance after a point because they already shed away most of what makes them a person.

And that's just the cultivation side. Those people are... well, very goal oriented, but do not have much going on aside from fighting or skills that support fighting.

This option retains offensive effectiveness and still grants utility.

Also this would be the last of the Big Three Suitors to see Ling Qi put in real work, and get an idea of what they are trying to sign up for. I feel it's important that they know how dangerous the lifestyle is, before they should make more serious overtures.
