Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
My inclination is that we should probably listen to their suggestions for the purposes of not being 'that girl who marched in and demanded we do stuff' as much as anything else.

So I assume we'll just listen to the experts here?

No reason not to do otherwise and our goal like theirs is ultimately intel after all.

I mean, it's in the character sheet - we're at -1 with the Weilu Conservatives and -2 with the Imperial Conservatives. This is probably at least partially because the entire Weilu faction has spent 100 years being out of favour due to the Tyrant Radiance so the Weilu Conservatives are just grateful for what they can get.

Yes, the Weilu Reactionaries hate us as much as the Imperial Conservatives do, but I'm confident that if we encountered an Imperial Reactionary they'd hate us with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. Thankfully there aren't many of those in the Emerald Seas.
So uhh nevermind about that.

Wow, we really pissed off the Weilu Reactionaries didn't we?

[X] Accept Pan Xi's proposal, and observe Yan Shenyi's movements and actions over the next few days before moving to make the arrest. (60% success, may grant better intelligence opportunities.)

This one seems easy enough

Were these supposed to desync? In general faction have the same relationship with us across clans.
The overall clan culture probably influences exactly how the internal factions feel about our work. Perhaps if we'd gone with:
[ ] She would tell a tragedy of stubborn prides failing (+1 Isolation XP, Secondary effects of Beast God techniques are powerful group and individual debuffs)
The Wang would've enjoyed the aggression, and we would've gotten +1 Wang Moderates/ +0 Luo Moderates instead.

Going from 1 to 0 isn't a big deal, nothing is going to really change. It's a bit annoying to have to build that back up but otherwise its fine.

Yah, its going to be fun. They are going to take swings at us, but the reformists are going to try and support us. Its proxy culture war in the Meng time!
It's interesting that the Weilu Moderates in the Wang didn't get a relationship increase, but they did in the Luo. That could have really firmed up our support with the Wang.

Maybe Wang Chao just hasn't gotten around to writing a letter yet.

I don't remember the position of the Weilu Reactionaries, does anyone know the post where all that stuff was described?
They're the guys who think that the Hui Clan did nothing wrong and that competitive backstabbing leagues are a good thing.

It should be noted that literally everyone else thinks the Cai are a massive step up from the Hui. Even if they don't like the Cai.

I wonder what approach the Reactionaries will take; aggresively lobbying against our political actions or more along the lines of assassins sent under the guise of night? Or perhaps a bit of both.

The latter is extremely aggro, and the first time they really try to make us have an 'Accident' is going to bump into Shu Yue, who will have a new throat to seek.

Remember, nobody actually knows that Shu Yue has been asked to keep an eye out for Ling Qi yet except our inner circle. That's going to be an ugly surprise if they think they can just robust through it.

I'm guessing the Luo weilu moderate approval came from our deal to let their guy observe the summit rather than a reaction to the play. or at least that tipped them over the edge while the other clans had a more muted response

Uh-oh!! Weilu Reactionaries(25%): -2 -> -4... That's starting to get serious!

-4: Greatly Disliked- The organization will oppose you whenever doing so is both possible and matches with their other goals

On the other hand, when we finish Hou Zhuang's gift Central Valley will go up to 2 right?

It does feel like the play has made us more enemies than allies. I fret of what the situation would look like if we had gone for the more transgressive option of the two.
