Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
mhm, i feel like the Hill tribes option fits better to the story here. Afterall, the ice witches being distantly related to those was our argument to try diplomacy with them, so learning more about that seems good to me

In this one instance, she might have been able to convince Renxiang to reject the offer, because of the stakes and her prominent role in events. Outside of this, she considered most of her influence on Renxiang to lay in matters outside of politics.

"Self care you mean," Sixiang said idly. "That girl is gonna put herself in an early grave or an ugly path left on her lonesome."

Sixiang was being uncharitable, but Renxiang was too hard on herself.
Hm. So I'm getting the impression the LQ is going to be the heart of the group in the sense that she is prodding CRX, and her retainers to become more than tools of someone else.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure Ling Qi is being too hard on herself in the first paragraph.

"Lady Cai has not often had the opportunity to fight with us," Ling Qi admitted.

"Gui thinks it would be fun though," her little brother agreed cheerfully.

This makes me wonder, actually, if Ling Qi as a moon cultivator and Cai Renxiang with all that solar qi could have some unexpected synergies if they developed paired arts. Aren't the sun and moon the eyes of the Father and Mother respectively in the cosmology? It'd be interesting to think about.

[X] Discuss matters of the Weilu and their relations to the people around them.

I'm going with this for now.
Renxiang doesn't use Solar qi she uses Light, which is different

Renxiang is heavens and stellar qi, not solar, I believe.
Also there's a two hour moratorium on voting after the post hits so people can discuss first.

[X] Discuss matters of the hill tribes and the other pre imperial peoples of the South Emerald Seas.

I will go with this

I feel like this is the obvious choice. I want to know more about the weilu, but like we do have a mission

Pretty much love Meng Dan and can't wait to be coworkers that get into amiable arguments over history and politics all the freaking time.
I actually like that image enough that I don't really want him in the actual husbando race? Hmm. I need to think more about this.

This doesn't really hurts. It sounds like Xia is focused on moving fast and hitting quickly. It is a skill LQ possess, but not she focuses that much on improving. The fact that we are about equal to Xia in speed means that with most and such, we could probably beat her

It seems like you missed a word in the bolded part, because otherwise I don't understand what you're saying.

Anyway, I went to check on the char sheet - and you were right. Ling Qi doesn't do speed anymore it seems. Which is weird, I remember her speed being leagues above everything else, now it's in the second half of her tier skills. Which to me seems weird, given that she's a sect scout, but what do I know lol.

How it in the second half? I just looked and she has S tier Speed and Dex.

She doesn't move so much as... appears where she wants to be. Xia physically moves through space while Ling just teleports around. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Xia can bull through something to pressure it, but Ling just throws shade at doors or terrain.

I think the Math Cabal's plan has us still really cracking on the speed later on. I believe turn 12 is supposed to be a big one for physical training like that.

"It is a common misconception that history is a simple recounting of events," Meng Dan said easily, removing his spectacles to polish them on a corner of his robes. "When in truth, it is a war of perceptions."

"One which I would hope is grounded in facts," Ling Qi replied, finding her rhythm again.

"Of course, but facts are funny things," he chuckled. "I naturally believe my interpretations are correct, but so do my peers, and a skilled orator can make facts mean anything they like. Ask that muse that I can feel behind your eyes."
Hm. You know I'm getting the impression Meng Diu suggested Meng Dan not only for the benefit her clan would get from contributing to the clan heir conducting a successful diplomatic mission, but simply that Meng Dan becoming a retainer insures he'll have help with his fixation on the past at times due to LQ disliking stagnancy, and they'll probably bond well while running from a bolder while exploring ruins.

Husbandos are perfectly acceptable targets for academic arguments.

The main thing is that in a white room race on the planes of Testing, Xia Lin would be about equal in straight line speed with Ling Qi.

Ling Qi however is a cheater and just cackles at any form of terrain or obstacle via the power of "Distance? What's that?" and teleportation. Sable Grace being at A, Dex being at S, all make Speed pretty powerful and impact Ling Qi's maneuverability significantly. In terms of holistic mobility in three dimensional space Ling Qi should be superior.
