Sad to see Shen Hu go, even if it is realistic that there are named losses. Good to see Suyin looking so capable though, even if it weights on her.

Renxiang almost has me regret not informing the sect but I definitely would rather she take the brunt of Shenhua's attention here.

They seem to be the ones to reach out to the barbarians so I could see them reaching out to a disillusioned member of the Empire if they could find a use for him.

So on one hand, advanced skill bait for empathy + a chance to leverage sincere negotiator, on the other hand; literally LQ's first time before a court in proper and we definitely lack the training and experience CRX has here.

We do intend to be the diplomat in this scenario. The grinning moon respects those who act. Let´s act on our intention and explain oour intentions in the safest place a future diplomat could explain their idea, in front of their superiors. The diplomats own polity is generally well intentioned towards their own diplomat and where else can we truly learn to stand on our own feet in the diplomatic arena and no longer be degraded to some dress?

Did LQ not embrace the Wind thief? To act and steal the gods treasure? Does that not take guts? I think Ling Qi can do it and finally be recognized for more than her status as retainer to the Cai. It is bold, but I think so was every Heist and Battle before too. We got an invitation from this polity and we would be fools not to take advantage of this opportunity to steal the enemy possible allies away.

Also, remember 2 hour moratorium. Just as a precaution for anyone who feels the urge to vote.

My read on Shenhua is that she'd probably respect it more if we presented the idea ourselves, rather than sort of going through Renxiang. Even if we screw it up a bit.

Genuinely don't care about selling our idea, I want to avoid downside risk and dump this on Shenhua's lap to deal with, which is why I voted the way I did last time.

Look, the bloody moon dream was called out this update and on that one Ling Qi cowardly didn't speak up, missing her chance to move a titan.

We already showed during the last combat event that the movements of low greens like us can affect the engagements of Violets and Prisms, lets now do so with words.

The thread may have an idea of where they want to go with this. It is my impression that LQ certainly does not in character, she is very unsure/uncertain about what action to take. That is not a position from which to attempt to sell anything. If she did, then yes, the clear answer would be the direct report one.

Of course, meta-wise the vote could change/strengthen the opinion LQ holds.

I read the two rolls as going to be:
Did you make an ass of yourself
Did you sell your idea

I would prefer to sell the idea and be an ass, than to be quiet and fail to sell it.

Shenhua will prefer an ass that is unashamed to bring their ideas even to the highest court, than a wilting weak retainer that pushes the lifting onto Renxiang.
 
If people are actually serious about trying to avert a war with the Ice Ladies instead of just saying so and quitting the second it gets slightly tough (like in the Bloody Moon dream where this exact same argument popped up) then Option 2 is the only acceptable choice.
