Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Y'know.. For what it's worth, of all the potential Husbando candidates that had been brought up, the original idea of Xuan Shi being the idealistic, lonely romantic was much more compelling for LQ's goal of true love compared to the more formal modes of engagement such as with Bao Qian, in my subjective personal opinion.

It's a shame that it didn't really go anywhere, this Side-story just brings to mind of 'could-have-beens.'

EDIT:
What's up with Shi's Dad though, he was raised by caretakers and since no one was taking responsibility for him, he chose to leave and try paving his own path in ES?

well I guess we need to set time aside to talk to Xuan Shi as soon as possible.
mann, every time we try to make friends with cultivators they turn out to be incredibly tenuously adjusted and right on the edge of some rough intersocial/personal shit.

it almost says something about power, and what that sort of pressure can do to those just trying to make their way in the world.

Anyway.

Looks like Xuan Shi, Su Ling and maybe CRX are next up on the mental breakdown docket. If Meizhen and Bao Qingling start having friction that's gonna be roughhh. Hopefully Suyin will be-

*looks at Suyin drowning in direct elder supervision and scrutiny*

ah. Hrm
CRX please keep it together. We need to be emotional support in a lotta damn places.

"Remember, I can't stay forever though, okay?" Kongyou reminded him gently.

He remembered, she had explained from the beginning that she was a regional spirit, that she would not leave her home here in the south. That was… fine.

"But let's not worry about far off things," the muse said lightly. "I said I would help you find a real companion to share your journey, and I keep my promises!"
"Perhaps this one should study the interactions of the region?" Xuan Shi mused. Understanding of the spiritual ecosystem seemed a good place to start in finding a suitable companion.

" Studying is all well and good, and you should definitely do it while you're healing," Kongyou chided. "But the most important thing you're going to have to do is get out there and present yourself to prospective partners! If you spend too long studying how things should be, you'll make mistakes in how they are, you know?"
.....Fuuuuuuck, Xuan Shi needs help. Specifically Ling Qi's assistance with that explore action.

Ji Rong's new "brother" is a dragon, is he not?
I just thought it was the river one since I doubt there are many others around.
A heavenly dragon, who until recently was in Yellow to Ji Rong and the river dragon's Green.

And I've gotten the impression the area's actually pretty good for dragons. We know of at least two others around, though they're not free for binding - River Dragon's mom and the utterly massive one who's linked to one of the sect's masters.
