[X] Drop the thought, even with this incursion, they had been safe. Increase the security of the house, but let her family stay here. (-2 Green Stones, family remains in unsafe area)
Meizhen hasn't, and Suzhen was also remarked to be perfectly civil, but I was under the impression that they were the exception rather than norm.
Though, I have to say, for all that Meizhen is consider polite and diplomatic for a Bai, she routinally commits social faux passes with fear aura/killing intent.
Naw, Meizhen is considered socially awkward for a Bai, she engages in little of the usual politicking and intrigue.
So since she's bad at playing the game she doesn't, she just stands at the side radiating the "I'm the most proper Bai lady, do not approach unless you have a good reason"
Hey now. How could you possibly forget the time she called Liling an arrogant tart?
Only ever in private, with Ling Qi alone.
I still say that Wood would be a suitably ambitiously aligned element to coordinate with Xiulan's inclinations, while providing some desperately needed hardiness.
Her tribulation seems to have broke her ability to do Water(and possibly Metal) anymore, and its Way related so hmm. Her Way has something to do with Ambition, and its telling that she can't even tolerate lack of it in those close to her. She disdains what she sees as weakness.
From that, I think she likely can't do Earth, Water, Lake or Wind without some new insight.
Wood and Mountain depends on her Way specifics, and she's never been rational enough for Metal to be compatible to begin with.
Thunder she should have no issue with, but I don't think it would be doing much helping.
She'd be surprisingly compatible with Darkness(Passion, Desire, Want), but I have no idea how Dark Sun could go.
You put safe in quotes as if you don't think they'll be safer there. Well, the vote says pretty clearly that they will be.
The vote is presented from Ling Qi's perspective. Ling Qi still thinks this is merely a local assault. Not enough War to get the broader thrust, or perhaps just more focused on individual matters than strategic.
The problem with that is, Xuilan might have already crossed the Rubicon when it comes to her way, and TRF might not be compatible with it. It would still be a useful art for her defense, but unless she's got a bunch of open meridians not in use, then she'd have to pull other arts to make room for it, and that might hurt her ability to fight more than lacking a high-end defensive art would. The same could hold true for opening more meridians to slot it over more family arts.
I'm very sure that she has defensive arts, its strongly in the Sun theme.
