I think Ferrus will be fucking pissed. Actually, he would already have been because by technicality, in canon he already saw future of his sons...and ironically he said he would not be alive to see it.

Vs World Eaters 92+40=132
Holy fuck there is ALOT to unpack here.... I guess the Steel Champions just kick out the orks completely and uterly with some help from the Dark Angels..... and of course there was a Fallen Appearance and the Dark Angels fuck up and cause a Grudge between the two chapters.

Oh shit quite a lot of companies sent to help out in the War of the Beast and did pretty wellllll and they're gone. Damn lost all Fifteen Companies sent there but they slowed down the Beast quite a lot with that. I'm so glad and happy we got the Increased Replenishment because they need it after this.

Huh, Steel Champions rolled low but got another one for some reason, also adopted as by the Imperial fists chapters.

OH, Steel Champions teaming up with the Iron Hands to fight off the SC's parent legion the Iron warrirors anddddd the Iron hands don't give a damn about guardsmen and end up casing untold losses on the imperial Guard, causing the Steel Champions to hold a Grudge with the Iron hands AND they hate their parent legion again. damn now THIS really does feel like a standard Space Marine Chapter with how the Imperium and other Chapters can be.

Oh holy shit they lost their damn homeworld, they got hoodwinked by the Orks by managed a comeback and retake it fueled by spite and the Orks breaking all the pots the Chapter made.

Yes another Team up, this time with the Blood Angels against the Emperor's Children and do damn well against them. I guess all Iron Warriors and their successors have a bone to pick with the Emperor's Childrne.
I don't know if that Twenty nine was how fast the response was or if it was just how they weren't able to muster as much to do the fight well and seems we/red garden got saved by Ulthwee and Siam-Hann calming them down and having them leave before they earn a grudge.

Oh and then another high roll against the World Eaters clowning on them. Seriously I love how it nearly became a running theme that the Chapters fighting alongside the Steel Champions just kept earning grudges besides they fucked up the mission or caused Friendly Fire a lot and the Blood Angels managed to avoid that fate.

I seriously look forward to how you will write this out Frog.

Correction it was Truy I a neighboring fortress world that was loss.

It was still a pretty bad incident though.
AH, so it wasn't their Homeworld. That's a lot better, I was wondering how the hell that happened but yah, I guess it was a due wake up call that just because the Orks in THAT sector were broken or killed, it didn't mean more that were much more battle tested and ready couldn't should up.

The Steel Champions are pretty much always fighting Orks.

Its why they got the double size trait for free because you can't expect a chapter under attack from Orks that often to contribute much of anything other than defense in its home area unless you let them be double sized.

Wait, did the sons of Perturabo save the original Imperial Fists chapter? It would be a major change of the timeline without changing it to a degree that is impossible for other events to happen

So THAT's why it was 'Due to Mandate and Homeworld choice' they were expected to defend the Segementum Solar but couldn't due their homeworld choice, so double sized was given for free. Oh boy what does that mean for the Xeno-fauna Apex Predator world? and I love how this Chapter is the one that legally gets a pass on being double the standard limit.

Death worlds usually still get the normal restrictions.

Being on the frontier with an Ork Empire the repeatedly spits out utter monsters at a horrifying rate on the other hand gets some leeway.

Gorkules had Custodes of the Dread Host and Imperial Assassins helping to bring him down.

... Okay, this is going to be a hilarious write-up to read. And I'm not sure if I'm anticipating the actual chapter or the 'Emperor and Primarchs React' more.

That said, the Relationships write-up is going to be fascinating to see for the Chapter. Because uh, between 'May as well be True Brothers' with the Imperial Fists, the very solid relationship with the Blood Angels, the Vendetta against their actual blood-brothers in the Iron Warriors (they really decided to Greek this up, didn't they?) and the Vendettas with the Dark Angels and the Iron Hands?

I feel like it can more or less be summarised as 'Bit touchy but solidly dependable and excellent folks. They also agree with us about those other bastards!' for the majority of regular groups of the Imperium.

They are a ornery bunch. But I trust them with my life for the good fight.

Is the sentiment the Imperium feels about them without a doubt

So were the Steel Champions inches away from destroying the Ork Empire for good when the Dark Angels ran off without explanation (as they are wont to do)?

Interesting to see the Eldar avoiding a Grudge. Their Farseer Shenanigans are an obvious source of bitterness but good for them. They used diplomacy for once, hopefully it will become a habit.
