The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

Well, originally I wanted to wait few more turns before creating The Shamed Chapter and stuff them with extra training, for this exact reason.

Then, the extra training price changed...Then we got hit with hard point limit...And we wasted, all 80 points, the only time we can have this many, on buying extra equipment, we can't even use for this Chapter...And now, we have a single extra training charge.

And then, we didn't roll Angron Empathy and instead rolled "Death-the Chapter". If we don't roll well for Chapter events, this will be our first Chapter to die.

But yeah, let's make them rounded out.

This was the last turn we could expend more than 60 point in the chapter if was do or die for this, i would have liked Luna Wolves for the geneseed but i missed the Windows to vote, so it doesnt matter any more so now we must think of we want this chapter father specialiced or more founded up, personally i would like them to be more rounded up because we give them a ton of other equipment and if we futher specialist will go to waste.

The point isn't that we shouldn't have spent so much points. It's that we spent most point on equipment that we won't be using. The winning plan used 30 points on unlocking equipment that this chapter was never going to use and did so without even bothering of buying another equipment charge.

Instead we could have spent those points on two more legendary rolls, two more training rolls or six generic geneseed rolls.

We bought Landspeeders, Assault Bikes, Whirlwinds, Vindicators and Stalkers. Of which we can pick one at best and will pick none of at worst.

Maaaan, for such an awesome request, this chapter sure is turning out to be... bleh. There's other words I'd rather call it but eh, this just makes me feel like we squandered an amazing opportunity.

Now, I have zero doubt in Frog's ability to make this a damned epic chapter despite everything but it doesn't help the taste of ash in my mouth.

Since we now know the traits for the new chapter I'm back with "THE LIST OF NAMES" to see what you guys think of some name ideas i came up with for this chapter:

1. Knights of the Shamed
2. Brotherhood of Redemption
3. War Wolves
4. Hounds of the Emperor
5. Sons of Grimm
6. Heralds of Grimm
7. Void Hounds
8. Chains of Light
9. Hounds of Dawn
10. Paladins of Redemption
11. Sons of War
12. Hounds of Battle
13. Battle Hounds
14. Blades of Grimm
15. Pillars of Truth
16. Gladiators of the Emperor

I mean, the rolls could be worse. I mean, I could get why some people here are disappointed by the rolls, but the rolls could be much more worse than this.

But TBF, you never know what you will get. Hell, if undead frog and us manage turns this around by taking the good from the bad, we might turns this chapter from a potentially-disappointing chapter with a very possible chance of being destroyed to one of the most potentially awesome chapters yet. You just gonna have to love/hate rolls sometimes.

Boarding Specialists + Space Hulk Operations and there is nothing in space that will be able to survive them.
Combine with Thunderhawks and I think it was mentioned that we have a charge of Extra Terminators to make them even more effective in deploying to the enemy ships and promptly clearing them out.
So that they can be properly looted for everything they are worth.

I can just imagine Grimm's reaction the first time he is informed that the ??? are requesting access to Sol to deliver a cleared Space Hulk to Mars for Grimm.

It would also be interesting to see another Chapter that has recovered STCs after the Eternal Guard, only in this case they weren't waiting for them in their Homeworld and the Chapter would have to earn them through Sweat and Blood and Sacrifice in the Space Hulks.

Wonder what their Chapter Monastery would be like. Wonder if they could claim an actual Space Hulk or something more reasonable like a.Ramilies Star Fort, but definitely something warp capable that is larger than a Battle Barge.
It would help differentiate them from the Dark Peregrines since they aren't as concerned about having faster ships to hunt down their prey.
Another way to differentiate them is to have the Chapter act as a unified force more often despite also being fleet based.
A mighty Thunder Hammer Axe to the many swift Daggers of the Dark Peregrines.

Guven mention of Thunder Warriors, kinda bad we didn't use the electro world. But yeah, I was thinking Warriors of Thunder for Chapter name. Or Thunder of Redemption.

Recovered Gloriana?

Yeah. That's what I don't understand, they like Thunder Warriors...How exactly? The only thing we know and is established about them is: Free politics training, extra amount of Chaplains, being allowed to be larger than Codex permits, being melee monsters and being good in space combat.

The only thing, they have in common with Warriors is melee. Thunder Warriors never were deployed outside of Terra and were noted to be less flexible than Astartes in their way of combat, being basically supreme ground troops but nothing more than that.

Might as well argue, we should have named the Eternal Guard, Thunder Guard, because they good at melee and therefore, somewhat, Thunder Warriors.
