I think even when they do not have martial homeworld, they will have strong martial culture AND I believe...they will be a brotherhood.
Of course we can get it. With Eternal Guard, they already rolled Blademastery, we can double down on things. I just don't see a reason here, I much rather just go with Chaplain and save the extra training for later Chapters.Honesrly we already have 3 melee traits might as well go for a 4th Supreme mellee unless QM says its redundant?
We want to create Imperial version of Black Legion here...but I see your point on what you mean.Of course we can get it. Well, frankly for that, logistics and Chapter bounds would be more important. Black Legion is for the large part, so successful, because Abaddons, keeps everything under control, so it's very well organized, at least compared to most other Warbands. The other is the fact, everyone can join, and the Black Legion doesn't care about the gene-seed lineage, allowing for large number of Chaos Marines to join, including individual Traitors from Loyal Legions or later formed, Imperium's Chapters. We want to create Imperial version of Black Legion here...but I see your point on what you mean.
We get both for free because we took the Shamed missionConsidering and needing to deal with lots of chapters along with job Chaplain and Politics seems necessary
We should probably go for Politics and Chaplains to round out this incredibly GYM-BRO chapterThe traits.
Fleet Based
Ship Maintenance Masters
Close Combat Specalists
World Eaters
Ax Mastery
Legendary Melee Prowess
Yes. But it doesn't stop us from doubling down. Well, at least in case of Chaplains, I guess.
It says, Chapter gains Politics training for free, but only says that the Chapter will have extra Chaplains. So I have to assume the Chapter still can have, even more and better trained Chaplains. In case of Politics, it depends on how it works in practice, it can work as if we choose the training at the end of Chapter creation, in which case we can't double down or it can work like natural trait, as if the Chapter rolled politics while doing traits roll, in which case we can double down, just like we could with Eternal Guard Blademastery.Conditions: Chapter gains politics training for free, extra Chaplains, and will be of an unusual size.
Axes didn't synergy with this theme
If we wanted to go with the spatan theme there was a world we could have chose called Spuuurta which is literally sparta
Oh cool in that caseYes. But it doesn't stop us from doubling down. Well, at least in case of Chaplains, I guess.

Good point, especially given their structure will be very much not standard so specialising should not be the best choice, especially when it is not chapter with 1000 Astartes but something closer to Legion in the future.Does anyone else feel like making this chapter more rounded out rather than specialised? They will be getting space marines from all over, so they should, by default, be capable of accommodating a wider variety of combat strategies and tactics.
Well, originally I wanted to wait few more turns before creating The Shamed Chapter and stuff them with extra training, for this exact reason.Does anyone else feel like making this chapter more rounded out rather than specialised? They will be getting space marines from all over, so they should, by default, be capable of accommodating a wider variety of combat strategies and tactics.
Pessimistic much? And then, we didn't roll Angron Empathy and instead rolled "Death-the Chapter". If we don't roll well for Chapter events, this will be our first Chapter to die.
Yes. And I have every right to be.
I mean if you want "a wider variety of combat strategies and tactics" then we could give them specialization in Marksman and Scouts and then equip them with Whirlwind for artillery, that would make the Chapter pretty tactically diverse... feels kind of ultramarine-ish thoDoes anyone else feel like making this chapter more rounded out rather than specialised?
