The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

Shame 🙈. @sxeron10 I will propose to wait one more turn with Shamed and meantime take testing request and make Scottish chapter ( for memes and to gain access to Rus's geneseed ) . We could not spend much on them, just one charge of adaptive geneseed or smth.
…We get like 40 Points per Chapter we make, with an extra 20 points we'll get 60…

What do you have planned that needs more than 60 Points to carry out?

I'd say the Shamed could do fine as Word Bearers with Adaptive Gene-seed and a few Extra Trainers.
Kinda want to send them to the Australia planet, because exiling people to Aussie land worked out pretty well the first time.

Can't speak for other people, but I planned to buy multiple charges of...Everything, including at least two Secondary geneseed charges. But most importantly, I wanted to buy every remaining Traitor Legion geneseed in single turn, so we finally have them all and we know with what we are dealing with.

We can do it with 60 points, but we would need to spend it all on just the Traitor geneseed. In the best case situation, I hope we wouldn't spend any points on the next three Chapters, but I understand why many people wouldn't want that.

How about visiting Orphanage and Schools to teach kids? :3
Unironically good idea. Dreadnaughts would have tons of knowledge collected over the years, both theoretical and practical, and if Chapter members are close with baseline Humans, then there's really no reason form them, not to visit things like schools or other public places and just tell children stories, both for educational purpouses as well purely for entertainment.

Unfortunately, too late. Art won.

Teaching kids Art? I can just imagine a Dread covered in kids drawings and it adorable.

Looking at the Unique Prototypes
[ ] Cerberus Pattern Dreadnaught: A dreadnought intended to replicate and replace the power of the now unused Leviathan Siege Dreadnought. The design gets around the risk of killing its occupants by spreading the load out among three Astartes instead of one - thereby keeping the strain from overwhelming any one of them. Of course, that does come at the risk of the blasted thing needing three critically injured Space Marines to work together to get it moving, but that's still far superior to them occasionally dropping dead mid battle. 15 Points.
Normally I would say that the need for three Marines makes it too unwieldy to be of any use.
But then it hit me that the Cerberus could prove quite devastating if the SMs are Librarians as it would allow for the concetration of 3 Librarians in 1 unit.
Which means that the only way I can see us using it in a productive way being either with Blood Angels or in a future Emperor Commission in order to be able to access Librarian Dreads.
(Or at least, EFFICIENT Librarian Dreads)

[ ] Power Chakram: An odd example of weapon design, the Power Chakram is nonetheless a lethal weapon, both in close range and to anyone foolish enough to be hit by its thrown form.
As has already been noted in thread the Chacram is best used by Librarians, specifically Telekines.

[ ] Cauter Blade: A specialized vibro blade of intense cutting power, which the Techpriest showing it to you theorizes was probably made for usage against regenerating creatures by the Ancients. When the Cauter Blade is active, the middle of the blade becomes superheated to the point that both sides of the wounds it creates are separately cauterized, keeping the wound from healing properly and making it far more difficult to reattach or regenerate lost limbs. It does, of course, come with the caveat that enemies struck with it face no fear of bleeding out whatsoever.
I really want this for the Anti-Tyranid Chapter!

[ ] Crusher Pattern Dreadnought: A strange take on the traditional Dreadnought concept, where the lower half of the body has been replaced with treads. This makes the chassis incapable of fighting indoors (for one thing, it can be defeated by a single set of stairs), but in turn the upper half is even more heavily armored, possess greatly enhanced weapons packages for its limbs, and even has a pair of massive heavy weapons mounted on each shoulder.
Clearly the MORE DAKKA option for Dreads.
Perfect for the Orc Hunters or again the Anti-Tyranids.

[ ] Rover Pattern Dreadnaught: A Dreadnought model on wheels, the Rover Class is far faster than just about any other dreadnaught type, without being much more expensive than the standard Castraferrum Pattern dreadnought chassis. It does suffer in difficult terrain in comparison to the basic or Crusher dreadnaughts, however.
Seems like Raven Guard or White Scars to me.

Yeah. Chaos should be a choice, the Gods and Daemons can manipulate you and tempt you, but ultimately, it should be you're choice and yours alone to give in. Instead of Chaos being able to just claim you're soul or corrupt you on the spot, because Chaos God decided so.
Have to disagree here, one of the things that make Chaos so dangerous is that exposure to it is a memetic hazard for the vast majority of people. It's a major reason why the Emperor and much of the Imperium decided to keep Chaos secret for so long.

That said think that Space Marines should naturally be pretty resistant to Chaos corruption. After all they were made to the the Emperors finest warriors and Chaos was one of his greatest enemies. Would be weird if he didn't make it so that they are so resistant the vast majority of SM's that fall due so by choice.
