Oh nice, pretty good roundup of traits so far.

And agreed -- outside of Politics and Counterintelligence, having a martial training would be good when fighting do break out.
As for coping traits, am more partial to philosophical debates and theatre, since it should be able to play into their orator roles and specialty.

I agree with the philosophy debates but theatre? You do realize that these are things there going to do while inside of dreadnaughts right? As in the giant metal sarcophagus with power first for hands that weight as much as a tank, pretty sure the only way that would work without the stages breaking under them is if they build the them out of ceramite!.... Actually never mind I changed my mind that would be hilarious just imagine the other actors trying to perform!😆

Venerable Ancient playing Otello and in final act trying to choke Desdemona :)

I might end up opening a coping mechanisims suggestion box like I kinda did for the Steel Champions for how they deal with restless Dreadnaughts.
Gardening? As in the sand gardens very zen thing, constant steady motions.
Maybe talking with chapters serves and mortals about their lives (therapist dreadnaughts)
Taking care/giving the advice of aspirants for the great narrative contrast between ancients and a child

My dude, that's part of the appeal : )
Either that or they take up as part of the chorus, since they do narration roles in ancient Greek theatre.

For training, I think that politics and maybe marksmen for sniper assassinations when rebels are chaos-corrupted or rulers need to be replaced. But techpriests to help with dreadnaughts could also work

I'm looking forward to these guys shouting "OBJECTION!" when a noble tries to use bullshit to justify their atrocities. Like hunting their subjects throughout the woods or something in some sick parody of the most dangerous game. Of course the nobles have every advantage to their side and the scales are so unbelievably weighted in their favor that it's barely lip service to "fair play".

We need something to keep them occupied outside of training, something to allow them to release stress. Debate and poetry might work.

I'm somewhat worried that the supposed goddess Atherena might actually be a chaos entity. Perhaps extra chaplains could prove useful
I suspect she's some kind of warp entity but no necessarily a chaos one.

I like the idea of the dreadnoughts practicing philosophy or singing. Painting and sculpting are also good. If we wind up having national parks, they could tend to those, it would get them out in nature

ie: The traits means being active doesn't put train on the chapters dreadnoughts but that they need to keep themselves mental occupied or they will suffer burnout like say a Leviathan Class.

So far my only idea is studying law, and as funny as Space Marine Dreadnought Ace Attorney is I don't want to lock it in just yet without even hearing alternatives.
Maybe they study political science?
