The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

For Space Marine lifespans that a pretty weird question but the book Darkness in the blood seen to imply GC era space marines are biologically immortal while Modern 40k marines are only long lived due to 10k year of genetic drift and dilution from the original Primarch source.

Yeah Chaplains + Apothecaries + Librarians would be ideal for training imo.
Remember that grimm is making this chapter to try to help out the blood angels, experts in dealing with the flaws seem natural, and the librarians because im convinced there is some psychic fuckery involved with both of them.
Im not as worried about maximizing combat because:
1. they already have two pretty good combat traits,
2. Its not like theyd be poor fighters if they didn't haven any, they're still space marines
3. and finally i think long lifespan will give this chapter some very scary veterans, which will really benefit from having fewer battle-brothers succumbing to the flaws.

And for today's preview of funni... well, actually Frog doesn't have an update for today, so there isn't one. But I did get the oppurtunity to go back and edit one of the older posts from before I got involved, and so we go back to the distant past...
"Do not let Belisarius Cawl acquire the Gene Seed samples of the traitors." The Regent of the Imperium commands you, one hand pinching his brow in exhausted annoyance. "Just... do not allow him to acquire it. Under any circumstances."

Your augmented mind begins to formulate what would happen if that maniacal fool got his hands on the Traitor Legion Gene Seed, and then you immediately forcibly sever that train of thought because you do not want to know.

[ ]: Space Police
-[ ] Celestial Hunters
-[ ] Black with red and gold details
-[ ] A winged chalice inside a drop of blood
-[ ] We are born in blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood. fear the old blood
-[ ]2x extra training
-[ ] Apothecaries: This chapter has extra Apothecaries among its ranks.
-[ ] Counterintelligence Training: The Chapter is proficient in the art of detecting and thwarting enemy infiltration attempts.
-[ ] Politics: This Chapter has grown adept at manipulating the surrounding political landscape. A sad necessity, in the increasingly politically driven Imperium.
-[ ] Specialist Ammo: The Chapter has a ready source of specialized bolter rounds, letting them bring the best possible ammunition for any engagement.

No extra equipment, they are suposed to solve things before they devolve in the need of heavier or extra equipment, they go to the planets in their sector or subsector, patroling and investigating, rooting cults, traitors and other possible troubles in their infancy.

An alternative name for the plan was "The better Inquisition" XD

Feel free to change the colors or simbol, i copied from someone else, the creed is from Bloodborne, i liked the idea

I'm regards to the idea of forcing the current chapter into politics don't think it really works and is just feeling like a forced idea. If we do have some of our chapters do anything with politics it should be something we had in mind before. On top of that we already had a chapter created specifically for counter intelligence.

I'd say save politics for worlds where that would work far better for what we intend specifically from the start.

Yeah, thinking about it while I did originally want to push for maximum combat at the start the main intent for choosing the previous traits were to specifically reduce the effects of the curses of Sanguinius' bloodline with this chapter.

People talk about having good PR for the reasons to go with something like politics but don't seem to consider that it might be a better idea to reduce the effects of the curses that causes this gene seed line from having trust issues. Because as a reminder the curses cause serious mental health issues which would be what is hurting our PR for this chapter in the first place.

Another thing to consider that Prophecy is pretty powerful and if we go with librarians might make them better at it. Imagine if these guys could warn the Imperium of threats like the Tyranids ahead of time. Even something like a few months would be huge for certain threats. Especially if they could give more specific details of certain disasters that the Imperium would not have learned otherwise.

So it seems like the best choices here are: Apothecaries, Chaplains and Librarians.

Politics does have advatage in that it might help deal with idiots denying The Wings belonging to sanguinis.

Or not Caring and still treating them as mutants. Like when eccelesiary goes full dumbass and corrupt

There will always be those idiots, it's a human thing. That said it will absolutely not help matters if our chapter is constantly losing their shit due to the effects of the curses. Besides, the last update flat out states that we had the all clear from the Grey Knights, one of the three branches of the Inquisition, the Blood Angels and even the greatest Genetors in the whole Imperium including Grimm himself.

Really feels like people are overblowing things. Especially since it's flat out confirmed that not only are the wings a 100 percent match to Sangunius himself but has a flat out chaos repellent aura.

So I once again say that if we want to give them good PR just have them do a great job. Especially if the Prophecy thing ends up being a huge boon and the other skills drastically reduce the curses to pretty manageable levels.

And honestly I think we should care far more about the mental health of this chapter than trying to please everyone, which is impossible.

[X] Plan: Good hunters
-[X] Write in Name: Hunters of the Sacrifice
-[X] Write in or post a picture of the chapter colors.: Blood Red and Silverish white
-[X] Write in chapter symbol.:
-[X] Write in chapter creed. (Optional).: "Find your worth in the waking world."
--[X] when fighting black legion: "Tonight, Sons join the Father."
-[X] Librarians: The Chapter's Librarians are particularly well trained, and have far greater resistance to the temptations of the warp. They are far less likely to fall to Perils of the Warp, and offer more potent psychic support.
-[X] Spear Training: The Chapter is especially well trained in the use of spear and javelin like weapons, this does not cover staves or pole-arms however.
-[X] Apothecaries: This chapter has extra Apothecaries among its ranks.
-[X] Specialist Ammo: The Chapter has a ready source of specialized bolter rounds, letting them bring the best possible ammunition for any engagement.
-[X] Extra Assault Packs: The Chapter has a great number of Assault Packs, letting them retain a greater number of Assault Marines in each Company.

[X] Plan: The Specialist
-[X] Write in Name: Seraph Brotherhood
-[X] Silver primary with red shoulder guard and gold trim
-[X] A Helmet With Spread Wings
-[X] "We fly for Sanguinius!" "Hunt the Beast of the Warp"
-[X] Librarians: The Chapter's Librarians are particularly well trained, and have far greater resistance to the temptations of the warp. They are far less likely to fall to Perils of the Warp, and offer more potent psychic support.
-[X] Chaplains: The Chapter is blessed with more Chaplains than average among its numbers, and higher quality as well. Treachery and corruption will find it far harder to grow within their ranks.
-[X] Apothecaries: This chapter has extra Apothecaries among its ranks.
-[X] Extra Assault Packs: The Chapter has a great number of Assault Packs, letting them retain a greater number of Assault Marines in each Company.
-[X] Specialist Ammo: The Chapter has a ready source of specialized bolter rounds, letting them bring the best possible ammunition for any engagement.

A plan that gets us all the specialsit we have synergy with and mitigates flaws and equipment that combos with our sword and gun specialty.

[X] Plan: The Specialist

The chapter name has a c instead of an x in the brackets so it isn't in the tally

[X] Plan: The Specialist

as a reminder the main thing we were going for was trying to mitigate Sanguinuis' bloodline curse. So actually dealing with that should be our main priority over everything else in my opinion. We owe it to Sanguinius to try to do our best here for them and even Grimm in character was prioritizing mitigating the curses as the main priority.
