I want to go all in on knighthood. Become the greatest knight Westeros has ever seen, the William Marshal of the realm. Future little boys and girls should dream of being Queen Rhaenyra when they grow up. And she might be an exception, being a Targaryen and princess, but what could be better for challenging the status quo of girls not being trained, if the person to aspire to be is Rhaenyra?

Thank goodness.

I'd like to say I think this is very important. Far more than bringing Dorne into the Fold, or mastering some skill. We've already sacrificed something huge for knighthood, so I see it as less important understand too, and we shouldn't need a goal to put some effort into getting alicent onto Syrax.

Something happened to Rhaenyra, and she needs to understand it, now that she can't ignore it. It'll stare her in the face every time she sees her sister. This will let her come to terms with her first brush with magic, her vision of the future, and hopefully, stop rejecting her sister before she's to old to take it back.

Hmm, on the one hand, I get wanting to focus on other pruduits now that we've become a knight. Afterall, we achieved our dream, have we not? And to achieve our other dreams, we'll need a lot of hard work.

On the other hand, we have potential that few have. To let that stagnate feels in some ways like a waste. And while we could hardly rule through personal might alone, setting an example is a powerful thing. We're already seeing how people fear what other women will think when they see Rhaenyra. I have to admit, I'm tempted by the idea of going full knight.

I think the problem with going full knight is it increases our enemies. It won't be enough just to train and win tourneys and hunt beasts. We'll need to fight brigands and other feets of Heroism. It's actually much, much more involved than just becoming a Knight.

Convincing Alicent to ride Syrax feels much too simple. I initially lean towards Knightly Exemplar, because I'd love to have some squires, it is a good way to create allegiances with other houses outside of marriages, and empower them and create comradery, the Arryns squiring a Stark and Baratheon did wonders for them up to a point. However, I do think its while maybe not the most difficult option, it is by far the most action sucking and that is a concern, even though we've gained another action. Not to mention the further tournaments we'll want to join to the stress of our father.

I assume we can still try and squire someone without that goal, but it seems fun.

[X] [Tarly] You've achieved enough, cut back to just what you need. (Locks out Prowess Training, Prowess Will Not Decrease unless Rhaenyra is rendered infirm for months)
We have So Much to do, and we'll have a consistent source of Stress in trying to bond with our half-siblings while at the same time being Diligent makes relaxation time less relaxing, so I want to regularly devote time to Syrax, Alicent, and law training. And hopefully making more friends.

Well, Prowess and Knighthood done, time for the next self-improvement!

Rhaenrya will have her Dornish house husband if it's the last thing I do I swear to all the gods.

Also swords are cool, so when given the option we should in fact always go for more swording.

This, I want the future Briennes to have someone to look up to, someone they can point to and go "I wanna be like her"

Again, the entire situation around this is a problem. I'd feel a lot better if Rhaenyra were actively working to resolve it in a concise manner than putting it off for some day.

Dorne is a pretty big project, and we have a good thing with Gawain. I'd rather build on our alliance with Hightower, especially having given Otto a shock.

I mean, the thing is - if we look at our character sheet, we have some generalized Learning... and apart from that we have put everything on muscles.

At the moment, we are a glorified club bouncer. Even a Warrior Queen needs to learn strategy, at least! I have no problem with staying on the warrior path (though "Rhaenyra the Lawgiver" also has a nice ring to it), but we can make it our aim to get a grasp on strategy to rival Aegon the Conqueror.

Maybe this would also prevent us from fucking up in Dorne for a second time.
Given how that played out the first time, I would think that "as good at strategy as Aegon the Conqueror" is, like, the minimum "you must be this tall to enter" bar you have to clear to have any chance at all of conquering Dorne, even a slim one, because Dorne looks at "a strategist equal to Aegon the Conqueror" and goes "oh, is that all you've got?"
