[X] [Manderly] Refuse
We aren't accepting Manderly's offer out of nowhere, and even committing to taking him with us is an absurd overstep. Either we then start picking up everyone who proposes to us - which will rapidly balloon - or we're massively favouring this guy we've literally just met and aren't even particularly considering a match with. The question of potential marriages should be a matter of surveying the entire field and narrowing down options, not half-committing to the first guy who asks!

I'm side-eying him a bit for springing this on a girl who's away from her father for the first time too, but I do understand a crown is a heavy temptation. But we can't accept.

Since @Teen Spirit gave me permissions to post a mild spoiler, here are the tourney brackets.

??? - Rhaenyra
The Scarlet Spear - Another mystery knight
Long Derrick - Hedgeknight from the North
Lann Pyke - Hedgeknight from the Iron Isles
QM's such a tease, giving us plenty of reason to hate Peake and then no way to act on that hate.

Also, Otto might be entering the Rhaenyra camp, I mean we have conducted ourselves well on the Progress so far and have heaped honors on his family.

I also just like the idea of a Gwayne marriage. We should really talk to the guy.

Scarlet Spear, hm? Of course, we all know who likes best to fight with spears. And there is a house who even has a spear on their shield - not a red spear, but a spear on red (on orange). Then again, I suppose spear-wielding Crannogmen are more likely around these parts. Though a Peake being knocked out by a Dornish would be kinda funny.

Also... oof. That's quite an array. We can probably beat Tully, but Borros is already a strong character, though maybe better in the melee than the joust. And then either our own sworn shield, or, more likely Cole. Who just swept the other tournaments. We're definitely in the higher standards half of the bracket.

Well, to our credit, getting hit by our lance probabaly hurts, and Rogar Bolton was shown to be quite a jouster at Harrenhall, he and Cole could whittle each other down a bit before it's our turn to face Cole.

Also we took hits from Harwin "Breakbones" Strong on our shield, we can probably take hits decently well which is half the battle.

Okay, I'm the only one worried that our main man Tarly is facing off Criston Cole? I mean, Cole's tantrums are deadly, and Tarly is the guy who took his place at Kingsguard.

Unless Cole can kill Raylon with one lance strike to the head, which I doubt since Raylon likely isn't a slouch in the jousting department either being raised the son of a noble house like the Tarly's who pride all things martial, then if Cole tries something as stupid as attacking Raylon, we'll have time to intervene and put him the dirt like an unruly squire.

"A match between the daughter of a second son and the heir to Starpike?" Unwin smirked. "He'd be a fool to decline, particularly since it will get him away from the abomination they call princess."

"get him away" is an odd turn of phrase connsidering the only person who would be leaving the Red Keep in those circumstances is Alicent.

Sorry, but no, I am not interested in these guys at all, let's decline and be over it

It's unlikely to win but we should avoid getting revealed this soon...
[X] [Melee] Stay out, Focus on the Joust

I like this one because it is the default option that is less likely to get connected with the Targaryens ( and it doesn't plagiarise Lyanna in the future)

If think we should go all John the Fiddler, take no ransom and claim we only want the friendship of our foes. What do you guys think?
