I wonder, what would the result be if we incorporated mystical palm jutsu (and other healing ones) into our kenjutsu? Somehow, I think it might result in a wicked torture technique.

Why would it? I mean I could see the end being something like what Kitsirugi does in F/Z, but that would be the capstone and it would only affect the body.

Not to mention investment time. I really don't seeing it being worth it when we still need to do so much more with Genjutsu and Fuuinjutsu just to be ready to defend ourself.

And Iryojutsu through a sword? S-Rank chakra control to start with. (Maybe not, but people have trouble with anything but the basics through their own hands, never mind another medium on top of that).

Kinda the main reason to learn kenjutsu...

Umm... No?

I was actually hoping we could recreate Tsunade's jutsu. Though with added sword. And elemental power eventually.

Though I don't think we should be able to learn Elemental chakra manipulation yet. We would have to learn at least water walking.

I'm of the opinion that Kenjutsu doesn't scale well into S-Ranked Ninja Battles.

Nah. Maybe trade with Naruto to see if the Rinnegan develops.

Same basic logic as my plan last year, with the addition of Genjutsu training based off of comments regarding its potential uses in confusing opponents during combat, especially seal-less Sharingan genjutsu.

I lean towards having a well-rounded foundation first before specializing.

We don't have the time to become great at everything. We do the time to get great at a couple of things.

The ideal of the Renaissance Man (or Girl, in our case) came from a group of wealthy, peaceful elites who never had to work for a living, and as such had all the time and resources to learn everything they could, without having any need to actually get good at anything.

Replacement Tag as a game, eh?
Interesting that the Uchiha survivors seem to have avoided the fans that Sasuke picked up in canon.
Less angsty young man = less fans, perhaps? Or is it just Big Sis Hisana that's scaring them off?

Lol at Naruto the terminator.
Hisana is working on Mystic Palm at 10 and only considers herself genius-class, hmm?
I wonder what the rest of the class and her teachers think of her.

And yet again we get warning that some details and assumptions we make might be inaccurate; like with the whole Naruto only eating ramen thing.
I suspect this is going to be a regular thing.

Her character sheet indicates she's on the cusp of hitting C-rank in all her stats except Iryojutsu and Genjutsu, and she's already a C-rank Intelligence and Schooling and Chakra Capacity.
"What have you been working on for the past week?" Sasuke asked, suddenly intrigued. I held my palm out, activated the seal and grabbed the kunai before it fell.
POV change from third person to first person.
Might wanna fix that.
"I'm having a little trouble with this question, Hisana?" Asked a pink haired girl - otherwise known as Sakura Haruno. Hisana felt a bit bad for taking over her role, but she wasn't filling it yet and first come first served and all that.
Ah.
Potential S-classer spotted.

Time to alternate back to kenjutsu in our training.
Chakra storage seals are BIG, but we need to have ninjutsu/genjutsu up to snuff to use them.

REASON
We're still building the foundation of our basic skills.

Learning elemental affinity to improve our Ninjutsu; Uchiha are big on jutsu.
Integrating ninjutsu with sword because we need to be able to use the basics with our hands full of blade.
Learning basic genjutsu so that we can mindfuck people with the Sharingan, as is traditional.
Learning Mystic Palm because someone has to be the cleric, and we need the basics down before diversifying into doujutsu-only shit.

Fuinjutsu-based chakra storage seals are sexy, sexy shit, but we can get to it next turn; it's not critical for field competence.
Since we did fuinjutsu last turn, we need to do kenjutsu this turn to solidify our basics.

We need to start focusing, which is a shame because I was hoping to get everything to C-rank first, then specialize.
Then again we're going to be tap-dancing on the D/C-rank boundary in the next couple of years in what we don't focus on I think.
... I don't know.
Not really.
We turn 10 this year.
If you look at our character sheet, our rate of natural increase suggests that all our stats will be comfortably C-rank by the time we graduate the Academy at 12-14. The ones that are lowest are genjutsu and Iryojutsu, which both need special focus.

We're Academy cadets; we're building a foundation.
The only people who are specializing at this age are clan-specific hijutsu users like the Aburame and Inuzuka with specific physical requirements.
Non-specific hiden-users like Yamanaka Ino and the whole Nara-Akimichi clique still are building out their general skills in addition to their hiden.

I lean towards having a well-rounded foundation first before specializing.
This.
At our age and level, specialization is for insects. And the Aburame.
You end up with gaps in your knowledge that could fuck you at inopportune moments.
Character sheet has been updated!
Character Sheet is currently missing listings for Shunshin and Fuinjutsu.

EDIT
Aren't we supposed to be voting plans?
If so, you might want to make a note at the voting options.

Sasuke uses it to great effect in the various epilogue/next gen material. And, theoretically, many kenjutsu techniques would transfer to the sword of a Complete Susanoo.

Regarding the Kenjutsu options, wouldn't it be better to learn the anti-ninja samurai techniques first / together, before attempting to integrate Ninjutsu? The samurai techniques will likely form the basis of our sword style and Hisana would have a better idea of what kind of Ninjutsu would synergise well with it.

In the samurai lessons, we'll probably be learning Iaido and maybe starting on the basics of the samurai chakra sabre, of which the former builds on our shunshin and the latter would complement any attempts to integrate ninjutsu.

We do have to be competent and knowledgeable, else someone else exploits that gap in our defenses.

You are talking about the Narutoverse here.
Every Kage and elite jounin worth the name IS a Renaissance Man, even if they have favored areas of expertise.

Not to mention that your basic premise is wrong.
You think Leo da Vinci lived in a time of peace? You think the Renaissance period was peaceful?
Man....

@all
You voters might want to pay attention to that.

@Demojay
@Vanguard_D
Could you guys both name your votes Plan Clerical Sword Magic?
GM is counting votes by plan, and your votes seem to be the same as mine; makes it easier for the GM to keep count.

Why?
Samurai sword-techniques are different, and meant to give people who don't practice ninjutsu/genjutsu a chance against shinobi.
They are not necessarily better.

Hanzo regularly kicked Mifune's ass before he died IIRC, and he wielded a kusarigama vs Mifune's samurai sword techniques. For us, being able to use what we already know in combination should be a higher priority than learning new shit.
