So, we already know this. But Shoji is upset that Kohaku can probably be a couple with Yumi. Which leaves him alone because his friends are happy, but he isn't.

There's the fact that Shoji beats himself up due to what his parents. How they hate each other due to their flaws, that leads them to project said flaws onto their son.

And the worst part is, that Shoji thinks that he's the worse part of his parents due to him being jealous of Kohaku.

Honestly if Shoji is going to move past this, it probably won't be with Yumi's help.

We can be there for him, but we don't really have a choice but to let this run it's course.

Also we should try training him at some point.

975: Mitama Business!

    You duck behind a parked car, keeping an eye on the Mitama as it floats lazily around the area. After all, it'd be rude not to wait for Kyoko to get here, especially since you invited her.

    Thankfully, the Mitama doesn't move around too much. It seems like it's staying close to the streetlights.

    After a moment, Kyoko stumbles up to you, struggling to catch her breath. "F-Fuck...! I think... Your magic shit... Made me... Out of shape!" She huffs out, leaning on the signpost beside her, "I'm gonna... Sit this one out."

    You nod, tapping the screen on your Gauntlet. Devil Dog is the first one to appear, quietly taking aim at the enemy demon. "On your go." He whispers to you.

    Next appears Virtue, who doesn't make any attempt to hide. "Ah, how fortunate! The Lord has blessed us with a Mitama!"

    Then, Black Frost.

    "Let me at 'em! Let me at 'em!" He roars as he bounds over the car and charges at the Mitama.

    ...Welp.

    (DEVIL DOG ATTACKS: SHOOTING SPREE: 4, 20, 14, 11)

    "Works for me!!" Devil Dog says as he fires a barrage of bullets at the demon...

    ...Only for them to harmlessly bounce off and fall to the ground.

    (IMMUNITY DISCOVERED: RANGED.)

    "Fuck." He grunts, "That's two for two."

    "I'll get hee-him, ho!" Black Frost shouts as he prepares his spell.

    (BLACK FROST ATTACKS: BUFUDYNE: 13)

    The Mitama instantly freezes over, falling to the ground and shattering. As usual, money and items are strewn about, but there's now a strange glow from where it was floating.

    As you take a cautious step closer, you think back to that other orb of light you saw back when--

    Honestly, not particularly thrilled with these right now unless we also get a free Skill Slot, because at the moment, we have very few Skills we can swap out without losing a point per level. With that said, I was planning to phase in Black Frost's Skills anyway, and with Asura and his Asura Roga no longer a threat within the foreseeable future, I feel comfortable with temporarily dropping Me Patra (we can swap it back in in a couple levels).

    While I would've preferred Drain Fire for the extra Magatsuhi, this still immunitizes us against another element, and moreover one that we know on a meta level that Walpurgisnacht has.

    Also, @TremendousMilk3, I probably should've brought this up sooner, but we're still owed two Sword Perks from the quadruple level up after the fight with Father Fuckwad

    Do not underestimate the utility of being able to cure any Status Effect.

    Honestly, really wanted Hand of Fate, but I can see the appeal of Repel Fire.

    Game mechanics wise, it may function close enough, but there is the question of if it works the same narratively. Yes they may be able to cure the same status effects, but perhaps Amrita Drop can cure diseases and curses that Mepatra can't.

    I believe there's an easy way to check. @TremendousMilk3, can we get a Word of the QM on whether there are any actual differences between Patra and Amrita Drop besides the name?

    Hmm, you know, Yumi should ask how Oriko's doing. It would be nice of her after all. Besides, hunting for another Mitama would be pretty greedy.

    How close is Yumi to being like, immune to almost everything
