Secondly, the damage boost from Tarukaja flat out isn't worth it in a 1v1. It only increases the damage we do by 25%, meaning we would need to hit four times before it wears off just to break even. In a group fight it works better, since then the damage from party members other than the caster are also being boosted, but in this situation it's a waste of time and MP.
Firstly, Tarukaja does not work that way. It increases the damage we do, it does not increase our STR, nor does it it help with avoiding hits in any way.

This looks to me as about the same amount of time passing. Vergil definitely felt it, but it was already healed by the time we saw where it hit.

Odds are unless we unleashed a stupid powerful Nat 20 move while beheading him he wouldn't notice the sword that passed throughout his neck and even if we did, he'd probably still sass us while his still standing body would kick Yumi's ass.

We don't really need to dismiss it. When we used Freikugel we dropped Dawn and she got summoned back anyway. She can jump back anyway.
