Phoning a fried: Wild Stallions
I need to go and cram four years of history into twenty minutes!" Unlike what he normally did, Alchemist didn't raise his hand or snap his fingers. He just disappeared.

Batman allowed himself a small grin.

How Alchemist handled this would offer a significant amount of insight into his character.

"-so that's why I time traveled to the past and toured all the relevant time periods. It was an excellent adventure."

Batman decided he would hold off on future tests of character.
The fallout from this one would be dealt with for years.

Test Results
I admit I am curious about 4 years of History cram, Will it be the Right History?

The test, for the most part, wasn't really too bad. It only tested basic algebra, reading comprehension, science and history slash government know-how.

That said, he still nearly failed the last part. There were a whole slew of differences between DC realities and the real world. Like the pro-vigilante laws that had been put on the books in the nineties, Alchemist knew nearly nothing about those.

He did remember some of the differences between the histories for world war two though!

He hadn't gotten a breakdown of which parts in specific he got right or wrong, but he was pretty sure he scored some extra credit.

After all, the spirit of Adolf Hitler possessing the Spear of Destiny was a critical role in how the second world war ended, wasn't it?

It's Bruce Wayne. The dude puts the word 'Bat' in front of just about everything. The fact that he made a name that's basically saying 'Copy of Winter' while still using an androgynous name often given to girls is surprising?

...By the by, there's a reason Talia never consulted him for baby names.

Disappointed. There's a reason Gaia can't do things herself, but her grandkids (Zeus and his generation) or her great-grandkids (Athena and Hephaestus generation) should have done something. Leaving something of her caliber to be trained only insofar as mortal abilities go is dangerous and irresponsible.

Perfectly in line with the greek gods, though.
Make me feel like a quest should be given that tell the MC to find someone to give her True Education.

[snip]
But yeah since Tera-chan is disappointed with this But can't directly do anything about it it's a good thing she has 2 Gamers to work as a proxy for her Since i feel the MC and Penny would make a great Loophole for Tera-chan to help her Daughter without directly interfering.

Would be direct inference if Alchemist set up a shrine to Gaia/Terra-chan in the Mount Justice HQ?

Alchemist: (insincere) :drevil: "Oh noes, Wonder Woman just happened to stumble upon my Shrine to Gaia. Now she can talk to her grandmother. I totally didn't see that coming."

"Starting out, the demiplane is only about the size of a small janitors closet. You store some stuff in it and forget about it. Thing is, though, it's called a seed for a reason. Over time it'll grow, and if you can feed it magic it'll grow even faster. The biggest one I've read about so far was about one kilometer cubed, and that was controlled by some ancient dragon. He kept his hoard in there."

Are demiplanes a suitable location to cast the 'Node Genesis' spell from "Underdark"?

An earth node is a Place of Power that boosts caster level and can grant bonus spells. An earth node created by 'Node Genesis' grows in size and power each year.

I thought it'd be cool if Alchemist's demiplane contained a Place of Power. Even if it Alchemist only used it as a storage closet, any items placed there would be seeped in raw magic and might become enchanted through prolonged exposure.

I'm going to say that, at first no. The demiplane is built on a balance of the classical elements and will take a bit of time to stabilize. It's a fantastic idea however and certainly not one I'd thought of.

Given a bit of time, it will evolve into something akin to a place of power on its own due to its extradimensional location and some of the things Alchemist will experiment with. Being a bubble or cyst in the Bleed, Blind Eternities, whatever can have all kinds of weird effects on things after all.

Edit: And to answer your other question, it's absolutely not interference if Alchemist makes a shrine. He's still a mortal soul, vested with free will and all that jazz. The fact that he gets mad bonuses for being a divine errand boy don't detract from that. Nope. Not at all.

She never remembered to call Mom...

Interesting chapter.
If he had used the five colours of Jade, Moonsilver, and Orichalcum instead, would his Demiplane eventually turn into Creation?

Maybe? You'd be looking at a timescale measured in Eons though. So I'm not sure it'd really matter in this specific case.
Depending on the balance of elements going into it, you could create an elemental plane if you wanted. Or if you knew how, even create entirely alien pocket realities.
That gets increasingly more complex and error prone, though. Something that's suitable for human habitation is relatively straightforward and only requires a two-dimensional spellcircle. For example if he wanted to add some form of time dilation effect he'd need to get Chrono Crystals and add an entirely separate axis to work on.

And one part of the spell that wasn't explained to Bruce, this all has to be carved and set into a door as part of the ritual to 'open' the demi-plane. Adding multiple axis can get pretty difficult and confusing really fast.

So how mind fuck was Kid Flash into accepting Magic is a possibility. Or did Alchemist sold him magic as an abstract science that is basically incredibly advanced.

I am given to understand that Alchemist has zero use for a storage closet, so everything he told them about his purposes for it was massive fibbing? Or are there things for which established storage is nonviable?

It seems like less then a weeks worth of effort for him so I could see him doing it solely as a way to prove to various unnamed people that his claims of magic are real and so maybe his other claims arent crazy either.

"She never remembers to call Mom" made me picture a shrine altar with a rotary dial phone sitting on top of it.

Totally want to see Diana have an awkward phone call with her Elder Goddess mother, desperately wanting to hang up but unable to find a pause in the conversation.

Isn't it obvious? It'll be an extradimensional prison where he can store all of those people who are too evil to leave in the world but won't...

What's that? "Phantom Zone"? Superman already did it?!

...Sorry, being a little more serious. It will eventually be large enough to function as a private workshop where he can experiment with or build things he doesn't actually want to share with the other heroes.
He's already mentioned how he expects anything he says in private to make its way to Black Canary's ears.

He could use it to carry his teammates as well?
For when the Bioship is too large, and the Zeta tubes don't have a destination.

He can store the dangerous artifacts he does not want in his inventory, but want in normal space even less, in it,like the necronium, amazo or fate.
