I'm half convinced the Joker anymore isn't so much a character anymore as he is an avatar of whatever lies under Arkham.
Something happens to him and he dies? (Suicide by cop is always a favorite)
Well, just pick another patient! Load 'em up with all that sweet, sweet outsider madness and you've got yourself another Joker! Hell, why stop at one?
I'd have to change a lot of story tones to make it work, so I probably won't be going there. But if another, more talented author thought they could do something with that? Send me a link
Could explain the jokers many many times he's fallen from extreme highs and also somehow survived crazy shit, but imo Joker Works best as an unknown, is he an immortal concept possessing someone random? A man who's just had one bad day? I don't know and that's scary. Hell even Batman can't find out who the joker is!
The joker imo should remain unknown with a multiple choice background, and with the three jokers being a thing, all the backgrounds can be right and wrong. One joker is just criminal who fell into a vat of acid, another is an comedian who had one bad day, and another is an eldritch horror, all of them are the joker for their own reasons independent of one another.
I'm half convinced the Joker anymore isn't so much a character anymore as he is an avatar of whatever lies under Arkham.

He's canonically so insane he loops back around to supersane and despite being seemingly the perfect fit, cannot be an avatar of the Purple Colour of Magic and Madness, and has no connection to Delirium of the Endless.
The Magical Colour spectrum is always overshadowed by the Emotional Spectrum in DC, which is shame cause their very deeply connected
If it isn't the Green ala Swamp Thing, and sometime the Red with Cheetah? Almost never shows up. Gold, or Yellow, can appear when Lords of Order show up, but its not mentioned often.
Magic of Blue is about freedom and movement, ties into Hope of the Emotional Spectrum. Green and the unending willpower of plant life who continue to try to grow even as they are actively on fire, Red and the endless rage and violence of the Animal Kingdom, Purple and the Violet colour of Love (also the only colour to be corrupted into something else, Obsession), Yellow for the fear that the absolute obedience and absence of choice the Gold of Order inspires at its most extreme.
Someone once had a theory the chars in Batman belonged to a twisted Alice in Wonderland setting in base, just The Joker & The Dark Knight took on a life of their own.
So! The Holy Rainwater gets treated to the Destroy Water treatment?
Too bad other polluting elements can not be filtered.
Scarface is captured & dismembered, but will he return yet again?

I don't remember if it was ever a part of the main canon, fanon, or some side story but I seem to remember a story like that. Something about Joker being a spirit or demon of chaos specific bound to Batman. So long as there is a Batman fighting in Gotham there will be a Joker to stop him. It even went on to explain the reason why the Joker sometimes seems to change personality and appearance is that there are multiple hosts for the spirit.
I post a chapter before I go to work, I come back it looks about ready to break out into a war!
Alright. To start with.
To the folks who actually read the chapter? Fantastic, I appreciate every single one of you. I'll be sure to sprinkle a little more crack into my general seasoning mix going forward!
For those focusing on what was said about the dog?
Take a second and re-read the last segment, with Talia. That's a woman going through a mental breakdown because the man she loves has used her as a one-night stand and then f-ed off back to someone else that just fits his fetishes better.
Proof contrary to what Alchemist said.
Now, why did he say that then? I've seen a lot of heat over what was said, but very, very few people wondering -why- it was said. What possible reason or experience could lead to that line of thinking?
If people would like to further complain about it, please feel free to message me. Otherwise? Please keep things constructive.
Bright and early, the sun barely beginning its journey behind Helios, Diana was walking into Mount Justice alongside J'onn J'onzz.
Batman had called them, last night. A quartet of the League's strongest. Herself, J'onn beside her, Captain Marvel and Red Tornado, though he'd been present through video rather than physically there. Batman had asked them who would be available and willing to watch Alchemist perform a ritual.
He'd been painfully short on details, such as where or what the magic would actually entail. Both of which were incredibly important, and both of which the exhausted soul had simply chosen not to volunteer. And Bruce had been distracted by Alchemist having brought a familiar back from his most recent journey.
Diana almost thought it may have been a clever act... But she'd talked with the man-child. He was a curious sort, but she got the impression that he didn't really factor people into his long term plans.
"You wear your worry plainly, Wonder Woman. If you have questions, it is simplest to ask than to wonder with him." She turned her head to regard the Martian with something close to fondness.
A warrior of his kind, a Manhunter. Worlds of difference betwixt them, yet many similarities could still be found.
"I know, J'onn. Magic is just a very sensitive subject for some Amazons." She'd yet to forgive Circe for the Wonderpig incident. And the less said about her mother, Queen Hippolyta, the better.
They found the magician in question in the Operations Center, near enough to the Zeta Terminal. He had a list in hand that he seemed to be going through a final time. Upon seeing them, however, he began putting several bags into a much larger sports bag.
"Ah, fantastic! You're both early! I think... Crap, what time is it." He pulled a phone out of his pocket to check it, and Diana took a critical look over him.
His clothes were rumpled and creased, there was fresh dirt under his shoes and his hair, likely just recently cut, was a mess with several leafy twigs in it.
"Alright, yeah, early. Did you two bring any books or anything? One part of this is prep time and it'll take about two hours, stuff I'll be using goes bad kinda fast if it's left sitting too long." He paused in thought and began swiping a finger up and down in the air in front of him.
Wonder Woman was almost sure she could see -something-, but couldn't tell what.
"Well, I've got books. Just tell me if either of you two get bored." He hefted the bag up on one shoulder and stepped forward towards them.
"A question first, Alchemist." J'onn interrupted him. "Could you explain the details of what you'll be doing? I understand rituals can be... Delicate, if interrupted."
"Yeah, yeah that's fair. One second-" Alchemist held up a hand and Diana felt the world twist around her. Then he snapped his fingers.
Where before they'd been inside of a mountain, now they were someplace else entirely. The were surrounded by crumbling, overgrown white stones and decaying buildings. In front of them was another cave, perhaps hand carved into the hillside though it looked to have been done some time in the ancient past.
"Welcome to Athens. I spent half the night scrying this area. It's... Protected, I think? Or else the source of my power doesn't want me here. The sanctuary of Ge Kourotrophe is just inside this cave." He went in first, casting a light above himself.
"I wasn't aware any temples to Gaia remained standing in Man's World." Stepping into the cave behind the magician, Diana felt... Loved. Wanted. There was something here yearning for her, something that resonated with a part of her she'd never truly noticed before.
"This location is connected to your powers, then?" J'onn asked, neatly snapping Wonder Woman from her fugue.
"Not... Quite? My power comes from the greater aspect of Gaia, though it's managed by a smaller fragment. This place is a temple to Gaia as a 'nurse of the young', and... I'm here to return my body to its proper owner, so I can return him to his mother. I'd hoped this was thematic enough to weigh things in my favor." They quickly found themselves in a crumbling chamber, whatever tools of worship or veneration that might have been here long since stolen or rotted away.
Alchemist pulled a small folding table out of a hole in reality and quickly began setting things on it.
A handful of meat skewers, still steaming. A large and colorful arrangement of vegetables. And then the fruits.
The narrow, curious focus on him as he was doing this turned quickly to outrage when he set out several pomegranates.
"I'd have not thought it wise to offer Gaia the fruits that stole away her favored goddess? Demeter brought winter to the world with Gaia's permission, and upsetting her could end poorly." Diana tried to make light of it, but the outrage was quickly mounting into a true, deep fury that had the cave trembling.
"I know." Alchemist answered simply, continuing to place his offerings. "But Persephone loves them. If Gaia is anything like my mom was, I'd bet she'd take them to Persephone as an excuse to visit her family and... Huh. It actually hurts remembering my mom more than I thought."
The fury was doused in an instant, the air turning melancholy. A sense of loss and longing filled Wonder Woman, and she knew it was not her own.
"Alright, so. I've got the body I'll be moving into. Mostly artificial, either of you two ever see Bicentennial Man?" J'onn subtly looked to her at Alchemist's question, but she could only shrug. "It's something like that. A golem that's nearly human. Except it weighs a lot more and I won't be able to swim any more. Not looking forward to that. And I'll never get through airport security again... Right."
Alchemist pulled a chair out of that hole in reality... And then he pulled out a body!
"Geeze! Could one of you give me a hand? I weigh a ton!" J'onn stepped forward to help him situate the body on the chair until it was leaning back and staying in place.
It looked very similar to Alchemist as he currently was. Short brown hair, on the shorter side of average, but it had scars and marks on it that he was lacking. Especially on the hands.
It was also noticeably older. Where Alchemist was thirteen or perhaps fourteen, the new body was in the indeterminate stages of late adolescence, perhaps one of those people who looked especially young in their early twenties.
"And now for the part that'll take forever." He pulled out... Several large needles, an intravenous bag stand and some sterile tubing? And then he pulled out a very, very large jar of viscous red liquid. "Doping it with blood and giving the marrow time to attune to it. Don't worry, it's all mine."
Diana did, in fact, worry.
"How long did it take for you to get that much blood?" If he'd gotten that all at once, he'd have been in the hospital for a transfusion!
"One afternoon." Diana blinked. That shouldn't be possible! "Got a veterinarian to pull it out of me while I was a dragon."
That... Made a little more sense.
He spent a few minutes getting everything set up, and then used magic to push the needles on the tree of tubes deep into the very bones of his new form.
"We're gonna be stuck here for a few hours. Any requests on books?" Alchemist pulled several more chairs out of his inventory, offering one to each member of the Justice Leage.
"I quite enjoyed 'The Time Machine' by Herbert George Wells." Diana had not known that about J'onn! Though with his taciturn and private nature that wasn't terribly surprising.
"You ever read its sequel, 'The Time Ships'?"
-----
Under ideal circumstances, J'onn would be able to focus on a book such as he'd been offered with significant ease.
Sitting in a cave and watching color slowly spread through a clockwork body with one very heavily guarded mind and another that knew nothing at all about defending itself were far from ideal circumstances.
Watching the young man fidget and glance between him and Wonder Woman, it was easy to tell by his body language alone that he was worried. He'd read the same passage in his own book (Going Postal, a curious book about a mailman) three times and felt perpetually afraid.
Not of -them-, thankfully. His mind continued to drift, memories of names and faces of various ghouls and specters, all too eager to claim a body of their own.
"Alchemist?" Perhaps a distraction of sorts would be in order? "Batman and M'gann have both mentioned you have developed an unusual ability. Something in regards to visiting distant realities to harvest resources?"
"Oh, uh, sure." The youngest person in the room took a second to memorize the page number he was on. J'onn could already tell he'd forget it. Then he closed the book and put it away. "My power is designed to turn me into entertainment for some of the distant outsiders, not sure if anyone's told you that?"
Diana turned to him curiously, and J'onn nodded.
He worried about any of the humans looking at the memories Alchemist was currently recalling. He remembered what some of those outsiders looked like. He knew some of their Names!
"Right, alright. Thing is I'm definitely not the first to have it, and it's seen a lot of changes between the first person and me. So I'm using a test-build, prototype of what might be the next version since the idea has been pretty corrupted from inception to me. The goddess in charge of it has been tweaking things, and one of the changes she made is that if I try to get something that's too powerful, or use the in-game system to get a familiar, I have to complete a challenge." He stopped to think for a moment, a phantom image of a massive list appearing before J'onn's eyes as Alchemist pulled it up as part of his power. He removed a sword from it, one of several the man had bearing the name 'Demon's Bane'.
He handed it to Diana, who looked at it as though it were perhaps the most precious thing she'd ever seen.
J'onn chose to refrain from telling her that Alchemist found it amusing that the sword was a side-benefit to what he'd actually gone searching for, a small ring that could multiply the endurance of a normal human five-fold and magnify their magical power even more massively.
"When I finish up, I get to return to the same place and time as when I leave. I've gone in twice, two very different worlds and gotten a lot of practice in with my spells and abilities. I did put in a lot of practice with swords but-" Alchemist scratched the side of his head nervously. "-I'm still not very good with them. I do a little better with greatswords but it's still not quite right. Sorry Wonder Woman."
He felt he was more a butcher with a cleaver than any sort of swordsman. A worry certainly not helped by how he'd learned to apply the weapons.
Beasts and possessed men, dragons breathing frost and fire (And don't look too deeply into the flames, J'onn.) and a great demon forged from an unwilling host and filled with a divine evil.
He hid it well, but Alchemist was disgusted with himself. The cruel calculus of him or them did little to assuage the memory of the remains of those he'd slain to spare his own life. Nor did it calm the fear that he wouldn't be allowed to stop.
"Could you show us?" Diana asked him after several moments of thought.
Alchemist tilted his head to the side a little bit, thinking about the pros and cons of several ideas he'd had in the recent past before coming to a conclusion.
"Alright." He flicked his fingers through the air, searching for something specific. "Put a hand somewhere on me, and we can take a look at one. Do you guys have a clock or something so I can verify the whole 'Time and Space' bit?"
Diana pulled her communicator off of her belt and set it on her chair.
J'onn made a note, two-fifteen PM.
"You two ready?" They both made noises of assent at Alchemist's question. "Alright, here we go. I'm not responsible for any mental scarring..."
He pushed his finger down into thin air, and the world around them twisted.
-----
The transition was always the hardest part of picking something, at least Alchemist thought so.
There was a solid moment where his brain was just failing to catch up to the fact that he'd moved, except without moving. They were still in the cave, though the chairs and the Holmcross had disappeared.
"So." Came a somewhat nasally voice. "You've chosen to finally come here."
Of course it came from behind him. Alchemist shuffled around and came face to face with...
Himself.
It was dressed the same as himself, light hooded jacket, jeans, boots... Even had the same curly brown hair and glowing yellow eyes.
"...Yep." Alchemist finally settled on. He had an idea where this was going.
It looked like the challenge for getting a scroll of Bilocation was going to suck.
"Alchemist? What is this? What's going on?" Wonder Woman didn't sound too worried, but there was some definite concern in her voice.
"At a guess? I'd like to introduce you to my... Id? I think? It is the Id, right? I always get that and the Ego confused." Alchemist aimed the second half of his question to himself.
"...Yes, the Id. I suppose that's simple enough for you. And I suppose you know why I'm here?" His duplicate crossed his arms, his posture haughty and hostile both.
Well, yeah... But Alchemist didn't reject all of his own dark or unpleasant parts of himself. So...
"...I know that there's this whole loving yourself thing that's all the rage these days, but-"
"No! You brainless twit! You've been squandering all of your potential! I'm here to take your place and start doing things the right way!" Ooh, and there were his repressed anger issues!
"Your plans involve enacting extraordinary violence on people. Do you think you can do so without the Justice League interfering?" The Martian Manhunter interjected before Alchemist could respond.
Alchemist rolled his eyes, he already knew what was coming. Threats in three, two, one...
"I think a pyrophobe and a statue that never lived up to the potential her mother gifted her with can hardly stop me." Yep, there it was. "The only magician left to the League since you gave Kent to the mercies of Chaos is a hare-brained showboat in Vegas. Maybe you'll try calling in backup? A little boy with the power given to him by a creepy old man named Jebediah? Finally get him to figure out how to use his magic? Maybe get over your fear of Constantine and let him sell your souls to avoid an honestly earned debt he accrued over a pack of cigarettes?"
Alchemist stepped forward, cutting off his copies tirade. Being a copy of him, it knew better than anyone else just what he could pull off.
Or bring to bear, should it be needed.
Alchemist pulled a revolver out of his inventory and loaded in a single bullet. "You want to be me, right? Take my place?"
He held the gun out, handle first to his duplicate.
"Go ahead. You can be me. Take over my responsibilities. Raise Ash, raise the dragon we haven't hatched yet. Maybe you'll stay on as an affiliate of the Justice League and try to keep juggling their madness and insanities while we're working in the dark and fixing the things they're not able to." His Id took the gun, but was hesitating.
"You-" It started, trying to get its nerve back. "-you squandered your chance at making someone love you! Jinx was trapped with us! A little encouragement, a small request here and there, she would have-"
"-Been groomed to want us, the same as the girl was that created this whole mess to begin with. And you might not have much ability to look forward, but that doesn't mean you can't feel guilt. Half of what you want to do is because people disgust you and you'd get to learn to hate yourself. More than you already do, I think." Of course Alchemist knew what his Id would have wanted. He had many thoughts and desires he refused to act on, but that didn't mean he pretended they never existed to begin with.
"Then..." His Id was hesitating. His grip on the pistol was shaking. "This- You've been wasting so much time, so much effort over some-some suicidal kid! You could've picked up the kinds of illusion spells, or-or enchantment magics that would let you do anything. Be anyone! Instead of just-just skulking around the shadows and letting other people dictate how, or when to do anything!"
His duplicate waved the revolver at him, but it didn't have a finger in the trigger guard yet. "The other gamer, 'Penny', like we're actually fooled by that name. You know who she is! You know what she did! You're even helping her, when all she does is whine and complain about you! Give me our life, and I'll raise her into the strongest gamer Gaia has ever seen before I rip her down, brick by brick!"
Alchemist stepped forward again, getting into his copies personal space. The two stared into each others eyes before Alchemist shook his head and backed off.
"Go ahead. Stay in Leslie's body. Struggle every morning just trying to get out of bed. Coerce and beg yourself to get up and go take a shower so you can actually be around other people. Keep being a hormonal child, taking medication every few hours so you don't feel like looking down the end of that barrel. You think we care about Player One? In the long term? She frustrates us today, but she doesn't matter to us after that. And I know you won't make a long term plan about her that actually demands 'effort'. You've seen this life, if it's something you really want, take it!"
His copy got into his face, holding the gun just under his chin. "And what about the Justice League? You know them. You know they're useless! A band of elitists pretending they're enough to matter when war and hunger are going on just outside the door! You could fix it. You could fix all of it! And what are you doing instead?! Playing pretend and letting the Light drag the world into an unending hellscape at Vandar Adg's will!"
"And then what?" Alchemist held the gun steady against him. "We stop him, who stands against the oncoming Apokolips? Superman and the rest might win, but how often have we seen them fall? You know as well as I do that we're stuck playing saboteur because we don't know what comes next! How are we supposed to be responsible for a brighter future when we can't figure out how to handle the things that are trying to darken it!"
His copy pulled the gun away, pulling the hammer back. "Is this what you want? What you really want? To hide everything you're actually doing while you pretend to follow the party line? You know Batman will give us hell when he finds out what you did with the puppet Scarface. They still haven't even figured out what's hiding under Arkham, the man's own backyard and you want to trust them?! I can't! I won't! What could be so important that their feelgood useless bullshit is worth it!"
Alchemist turned his back on his doppleganger, walking back towards Wonder Woman and the Martian Manhunter.
"You know the shape of the future, just as I do." Alchemist kept his pace slow and even whilst he continued talking. "Infiltrated, betrayed, even our gods working against us. Mankind survives alien conquerors and alien gods, but what comes out the other side? Is it worth living through? Is it worth dying for? Is any of this worth it to me? Worth it enough that you want to take it and deal with it yourse-"
Alchemist was cut off by an earsplitting Bang!
Diana was staring behind him in horror and even J'onn looked startled at what happened.
Alchemist finally turned around to see his duplicate on the ground, blood and brain pouring out of the exit wound caused by shooting itself.
He suddenly felt a strange sense of numbness inside, the whole situation felt like it was a world away yet somehow he couldn't look away from himself.
It didn't really feel like it was his own hand that reached up and pressed the icon that said he'd received a message.
~~ FROM: Ultra-powerful best goddess Terra-Tan! ~~
~~ Okay. Wow. Definitely not how that was supposed to go. You were, uh, supposed to reject your shadow and get into this whole screaming match about how 'You're not me!' not uh... I mean dude, you talked yourself to death. I wanted a huge battle between a Void Dragon struggling against an Umbral Dragon. You were supposed to save your friends, maybe even invite them into your party so I could finally talk to my daughter! My day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable, I hope you're happy! Just take your scroll and get out! ~~
~~~Enemy Defeated!~~~
~~Shadow Alchemist X1!~~
~~You have gained null XP!~~
~~You have gained 100000 GP!~~
~~You have gained Scroll of Bilocation X1!~~
The world twisted around them, back into the cave but he hardly noticed.
He... He'd seen dead bodies before, the pawns on Bitterblack Island were so, so close to being human themselves.
But there was just something... Seeing himself hit so much harder.
"Alchemist?" Diana was leaning down, looking him in the eyes. "Are you well?"
"No." He answered at the same time J'onn spoke. He looked over to the blank red eyes of the Martian and swallowed, tasting bile. "...That..."
He didn't even know where to begin explaining everything. It might have been easier if he wasn't still mentally stuck on looking at himself, dead on the ground.
Just what he needed today. Even more trauma.
"It's alright." Diana pulled him into a hug. "I have questions that need answered, but they can wait. Shall we continue with the ritual?"
Right! The ritual! Leslie... It wouldn't make him feel better, but it's at least one less thing that'd be on his mind.
"Yeah." He mumbled, focusing on the list of what he needed to do. "That, yeah. Let's just keep going."
Basically done, he reminded himself. Just a few parts.
After Wonder Woman let him go, he got to work.
He unclipped the Life and Magic Grail's from the inner lining of his jacket, pulled out his Savior's Ring and pulled the Ring of Perseverance off of his finger. HP and MP regeneration, a massive boost to both as well as a boost to all skill experience gained.
He used Synthesis, forging all of them into a single silver ring, just one of many he'd collected in Bitterblack Island. With that skill being at level one hundred, he wasn't losing any strength for the traits anymore. Then he fused the silver ring into another, and then another until Crafter's Luck kicked in and he had two such rings in hand.
One went into his inventory.
The other was fused into one of his Alchemist Materia.
The majority of those had been worked into a special concentrator, similar to the one that was initially used to make the original. Just writ large, so five of them were feeding magic into a central chamber. It would, in time, create a massive magical crystal. The Core Crystal needed to power and possess the Incorruptus.
One had simply been buried in his demiplane, just next to the entrance. Feeding a constant stream of magic into the little pocket dimension to help it grow.
The one he'd just fused everything into was the final mastered materia he kept with him, the last one left in his inventory being the youngest baby materia, ready to grow and produce even more if he ever needed to.
"Alright." He was on to the penultimate step. The one that scared him. "Don't tell Black Canary I can do this, it'll give her nightmares."
"Alchemist?" J'onn spoke up, likely feeling the trepidation in his mind. "What are you about to-"
Alchemist choked down an Extract of Twin Form, a new duplicate forming next to him.
He struggled to avoid thinking about what it would look like with its brains along the floor.
"Just..." One Alchemist started, and hesitated.
"Making things a little more mobile." His clone finished.
Alchemist himself sat down on the chair he'd been using earlier, situated and as relaxed as possible while his copy held the Red Materia in hand.
He saw his MP drop, which meant his copy had cast the spell. He took a deep breath, quelling his fear as best he could, and grabbed the orb firmly when it was handed to him. He held it in his lap, cupped in both hands.
"Are you ready?" The copy asked, he looked as nervous as Alchemist felt.
"...No." It didn't do any good to lie to himself.
"I know." And his clone snapped his fingers, the world going dark.
Darker.
Yet darker still.
AN/ Think I got everything. Anything I missed, give me a heads up!
Edit 1: Forgot to update his level in his stats. We'll see what elve I've missed going forward.
Damn, that was an intense showdown. The face-off against a dark version of you is somewhat cliche these days, but that was really good. I could really feel the intensity of the emotions.
What was The Incredible Incorruptus! Complete blueprints and designs compiled by the fantastic Framboise! again? I can't remember and can't find the source material
For some reason the song "Soldier, Poet, King" by The Oh Hellos seem apropriate cause of this lyric
There will come a poet
Whose weapon is His word
He will slay you with His tongue
Oh lei, oh lai, oh, Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh, Lord
He will slay you with His tongue
Oh lei, oh lai, oh, Lord
In these kinds of chapters I like to remember that literally all of the trauma, pain, misery and such that Alchemist has endured is in a very real way his own fault. As in he actually, specifically, asked for it due to his own warped form of hubris. He may not have had many choices to pick from, but he went out of his way to ensure he got the worst deal of the lot.
You were supposed to save your friends, maybe even invite them into your party so I could finally talk to my daughter! My day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable,
That seems to be going with the Wonder Woman is a child of Gaia take and I am curious to see how WW would react to learning her mother was the one who created Alchemists and Player One after plucking their souls from the void.
So, did Wonderwoman and J'onn see the letter from Terra-tan because
player-one is the girl I think Alchemists meat-suit killed him self over I think after selling her body at age 13/14 to her uncle for bear and weed which is really messed up
On one hand, I'm glad that no one has made a Gaster reference in response to this.
On the other hand, I'm terrified by remembering the line that talks about how "one day, he fell into his own creation, and was shattered across space and time" because Alchemist is already a Void Dragon so becoming unstuck into the code of reality is exactly the sort of thing I expect from his luck.
And the saddest part is that the sociopathy gamer's mind is supposed to cause isnt actually an issue in The Gamer, just badly written fanfics. He screwed himself over by reading fanfics
That's why his Shadow offed himself.
He knew that Alchemist's plan to transfer to the Helmcross is far better than staying in the stolen body and just shapeshifting.
Gaia wanted a reenactemt of Persona 4, but got psychological horror instead.
What I'm worried about is Alchemist is now missing an essential part of himself.
