Oh, ¿quién se pregunta qué le pasó a Jafar?

Les daré a todos una pequeña pista.

¿Quién no ha aparecido en el escenario mundial?

20,000 Bubbles Under The Sea (Canon)
20,000 Bubbles Under The Sea

"The boy troubles me," Professor Pierre Aronnax told his servant and student Conseil. "He is unnaturally grim for a child of his age, and the topics of his conversation worry me."

"Have you ever had children, Professor?" Conseil asked guilelessly.

Pierre paused. "Well...no. But I have studied them as a topic of interest, and taught a number back in France-"

"That isn't the same thing, Professor, and we both know it," Conseil chided him gently. "He's a lad of 15, what is the worst mischief he could get up to?"

"That's just it, Conseil! Yesterday I overheard him speaking with Captain Nemo about bombs!" Pierre's concern was palpable. "What sort of child considers weapons of destruction a casual form of conversation?"

Conseil's eyes widened. "That is worrying. It is true that the Nautilus had had to fight its share of battles as of late, and the Captain might desire a weapon that could stall Jones, but to speak of them to a child?"

"You misunderstand me, Conseil. The child brought them up to him. He spoke of a small, hand-held device 'with a foolproof delivery mechanism for maximum dispersal of the payload.' Tell me that I am wrong in my concerns, Conseil, for nothing would please me better!"

The shorter man hmm'd for a moment. "Do you think it is worth raising with the captain?"

Pierre sighed. "Perhaps. Do you wish to join me in tracking down our illustrious host?"

Conseil smiled. "Given the environment, there is little better to do. I may as well."

The two men left their cabin that they shared and proceeded to search the gallery, the dining room, and the bridge for any sign of Nemo. After twenty minutes, they conceded defeat. "Where could he be?" Pierre pondered. "It's not as if the Nautilus is that large of a vessel. The only place we have yet to search are-"

"-the Captain's quarters!" both said at the same time. Trotting in their direction, Pierre raised a fist to knock on the door, but paused as he heard voices within. Curiosity overcoming decorum, he and Conseil both padded forward to eavesdrop at the door.

The boy's tenor voice was heard first. "...can see, Captain, the membrane serves as a far better container for the alchemical payload, and doesn't leave uncomfortable shards of glass to disturb the wielder."

They looked at each other in confusion. Why would that be a matter of concern for a bomb? But they were both stunned by Nemo's response. "Would you perform a demonstration here, then? I must admit I'm curious."

Had the captain gone mad?

Varian's voice was almost manic in its eagerness. "As you say, Captain! I can't wait to see what this can do!"

Panic overwhelming them - apparently the child was suicidal as well! - Pierre and Conseil tried the handle. Finding it unlocked, they swung the door open and saw Nemo and Varian standing near what Pierre assumed was the lavatory. Varian had one hand held dramatically in the air while grasping a pale blue sphere.

"Captain, don't-!" But it was too late. Varian's arm swung down, and all the Professor knew was white.

It was soft and fluffy, slightly fizzy, and smelled quite nice. He blinked and waved his hands through the substance, his vision still clouded.

"Ah, Professor Aronnax," Captain Nemo's deep voice intoned through the mist. "I see you have arrived just in time for the demonstration."

"Yeah, heh heh," Varian's tenor was somewhat sheepish. "It was a little bigger than I anticipated."

"What is this?" Conseil said from Pierre's right, his voice confused. "Is this...sea foam?"

"Nope!" Varian was chipper. "Personalized bath bomb! The Captain here thought I should try something less dangerous before he gave me full access to his chemistry set so I could make the really fun stuff."

"Bath...bomb?" Pierre felt like slapping himself. He'd worked himself up over nothing!

No, worse than nothing! A bubble bath! Or, well, bubble room, but who was counting?

"Yep!" The bubbles on the outer fringes started to dissipate, and Pierre could finally see his three companions. Or at least their outlines, considering they were still covered in bubble bath.

Nemo's voice was heard coming from a slightly larger mound to the right. "So this mixture of salts, scents and fizzing creates an environment that allows someone to become much more relaxed than merely bathing in a standard bath?" The smaller mound directly in front of Pierre responded, "Yeah, at least that's the idea. Gotta tailor it to the intended user after all." It moved in a gesture that indicated Varian was looking around. "I wasn't expecting quite this much, though."

"You had us worried sick!" Conseil burst out from his mound. "We thought you were making actual bombs!"

"What? Psh, no, I'm just a kid!" Varian laughed. "Why would I do something like that?" He chuckled nervously, leaving Pierre feeling a little suspicious, but unwilling to press the matter.

"Apologies for disturbing you, Captain," he said sheepishly. "Conseil and I will just be on our way…"

His voice trailed off as he heard shouting coming from the stern. "What is the matter?"

Varian's head poked out of his mound of bubbles, his expression a painful grimace. "Oh. Shoot. I forgot."

Nemo's bearded face slowly turned towards Varian. "Forgot what."

Varian grinned in embarrassment. "I...kinda let some of the crew use the generic version in their showers?"

Pierre, Conseil, Nemo, and Varian all looked out of the room and down the hall; a wall of bubbles could be seen starting to overflow into the gallery.

"Oops."

"Varian." Nemo's voice was like stone. "You're cleaning this up."

"Yes Captain."

A/N: Just a little something TempestK and I came up with while chatting one day. Nemo's little analysis was written by him. :)

I see the Professor and Conseil are present. Did Ned lands escape at some point or is he locked up?
Talking with TempestK, he decided that since Ned was the source of most of the conflict in the movie, the best way for Nemo to be 'victorious' was for him to have never come aboard the Nautilus in the first place. So Ned Land was never picked up by Nemo, and is not a passenger on the Nautilus. Which isn't to say that Ned isn't running around somewhere in the setting, he's just not there.

Artemis Fowl is Gridlocked-era and quite a few of these have shown up in omakes if not rival reports.

Okay, yeah that was far too broad of a "hint" and basically amounted to teasing. But no, no Artemis Fowl, we pretend that abomination of a movie doesn't exist. Just like Highlander 2 or M. Night's attempt at an Avatar movie.

Here's how votes currently stand. If there's no major change by 6 PM EST, then I'll close the vote early.

The votes probably not going to change much.

I'm very concerned about the state of the military. We aren't doing anything to fix it so if our southern neighbor or whoever does something requiring a attack or defense we'll be in a terrible position to respond.

Hopefully, I'm just being paranoid and nothing will happen.

Also not going for the double actions...

Sigh. I hope it goes well.

My two priorities were watching our funds and expanding our military's capabilities. Given the cost of other actions, I opted for developing night-fighting skills, and depending on the size of the infusion go for military expansion next turn. It'll be expensive, especially since we'll also need to cover the Western Satraps (hopefully), but the increased income should help cover it. Or at least hopefully some low-dc income options.

Does anyone have any questions about the actions that have opened up or otherwise been added to the options? Always happy to entertain feedback.

I had some questions about how you decide to price actions and determine income options. For example, it seems a tad expensive that a single job with the 40 thieves could have a price equivalent to 40 months' trade with Agrabah (20 turns). And why did it cost almost as much to hire Iago as it did to train an entire platoon of swordsmen? Part of it is opportunity cost, but what are the in-universe reasons?

- [][Martial] Go West Young Man!
The situation in the West is untenable; and is poised to fall into the same anarchy that ate up the North. Send Ababwa's forces there to stabilize the region and stamp out the brigands and bandits that evaded your forces the first time.
DC: 200
Cost: 12,000 Gold

Doing the north was DC 40 and Cost 2000.

Is the reason the west is so difficult and expensive because our military is stretched thin at the moment?

Would the west drop to where the north was if we fixed the shortfall?
