Nah, that card has been played and countermeasures have been put in place. Interception by Nohonese pirates is much more likely.

Dual Crown official 1: So, explain why we aren't shipping this overland again?

Dual Crown official 2: Because its a vast trackless tundra and the guns would take forever to get across it?

DCO 1: Yeah, but they would get there.

Hung liaison: I want to be able to say they'd make it by sea, but we don't always get what we want. Like large shipments of guns, for example.

DCO 2: Isn't that gun on your hip from our last shipment?

Hung liaison: No comment.

@Academia Nut who will we piss off more, the Sketch if we send the guns to CCP, or the Nohon if we send it to Hung.

Spite is a perfect way to justify this, after all.

The CCP will never be an extentential threat to the Sketch. The Hung are very much an extentential threat to Nohon and would genocide them if they could pull it off.

Nohon is and will remain terified of a industrial and at least somewhat still unified Hung.

With that said, and a promise of DI miniseries, I want to consider selling them some obsolete industrial equipment so they can support these guns we are sending them.

CCP might threaten the Sketch's plan with the UPM, and it has the bonus of pissing off the Nohon as well though. That's a fairly good amount of reason to vote for them if we are feeling spiteful towards people in general rather than the Nohon in specific.

"I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the guns aren't missing, you know exactly were they are! The bad news is that Not!Hong Xiuquan got them all and is now launching a revolt against the Hung Emperor."
You joke, but I'm actually curious about how badly it would go for the newly armed rebels to try and jump our convoys that are actually guarded.

Well see, someone had the idea to load the cannons with grapeshot, you know, just in case. And we had to move the cannons and horses anyway, so we just mounten their pintle and drove them like a battle line...

So long story short, you have a few hundred less rebles to worry about

"The good news is, the rebels are gone."

"The bad news is, the local commander of the convoy somehow turned into a local folkhero and half of the Hung want to put him on the throne."

You have a daughter if I am not mistaken? I am sure an arangement can be made. Both our countries can be ruled by half Galvymaryn/Half Hung royals.

The officer is names Sysyno. They call him the god of thunder due to the cannons.

Consider how reactionary European politics got after 1848 and those revolts were minor blips in comparison.
What are you talking about here?

After otl!1848 a period of reforms started (in most European countries not called Russia or Austria). Because the governments were scared shitless, because the revolutionary dream was obliterated and because the firebrand methods of agitators were discredited after the failure of the springtime of nations. Would-be revolutionaries began working within the system or with support of the system (Cavour and Garibaldi) because all their previous methods failed.

Good news everyone!

Due to increased science funding and collaboration between international academics, a naval officer from the Mapanca has been able to publish his treatise on the birds observed on islands off the coast of his home.

I am certain this will be in no way controversial and lead to no terrible ideas using his work as a cloak of legitimacy.

Man, between this and the Hell Math Boat, off the Mapanca coast is apparently just the place to be for groundbreaking scientific discoveries.
