Yeah, it's fine.

They basically surrendered their tech lead on the world in exchange for not exploding into gibs.
Meanwhile the second greatest power is rolling up it sleeves and fighting a revolutionary government likely spanning the majority of continental Syffryn's industry and wealth to a standstill. So much for OTL!Britain's policy of preventing potential hegemons.

Yep, and they're forced right now to go to war against the Federation while their econ is still smouldering.

As much as the Sketch weathered the crisis, they did it by giving up a lot of the advantages they had by being an early industrializer. So rather than them being perpetually 30+ years ahead of everyone else, the rest of the world is going to catch up to them by the time they unfuck their education system.

They're going to intervene as soon as they can thankfully. Problem was they kinda sold off a ton of their weapons and ships to keep themselves from blowing up, so they don't have the military might to be all that decisive right now.

Give em a year or two and they'll be raiding the coastline and landing armies.

If they're anything like IRL Britain they'll be smart and keep the boots off the ground - but then again, they might not have an option at this point.

I doubt they'll land unless they feel like they have to, and that'd require us to get hit pretty hard.

They might also land if they are given reason to think it'll be extremely easy, but that'd be a big mistake.

They might land forces to burn out the ports, though yeah, their army won't be a decisive force. But they have a good chance of being able to cripple everything on the coastline, and the threat of the Sketch making a landing should distract the Federation for a bit.

They don't have a choice, the Federation has to fall or their house of cards collapses. They don't dare let the Federation succeed or else all the people they had to shoot and ruin the futures of might get ideas.

Against the Federation? That's good for us, and I imagine they really don't want the DM to try and have sole credit to saving Syffryn from nefarious theocrats either considering the last thing they need is 'Continental Blockade 2 Electric Boogaloo' now with actual diplomacy.

New rankings, btw. Ochruhr is back to being a GP, Karrivonites have a struggling mixed economy, but their navy is 'merely' competent, and so is likely to get wrecked in short order.

BS are sadly down to a secondary power, and even with the Khem's gains, they're still far away from GP status as well.

So does that mean we might see the Humiliation mechanic again when we beat the Ochruhr after this war? Possibly with the Federation as well?

Also how the hell did the Nohon get up to 90 prestige? what did they do to raise it so quickly.

The Black Sheep need to just rejoin the fracking motherland already...

They beat up the Hung, remember?

Also I doubt we'll see humiliation with the Federation, that's going to be a fight to death. With the Ochruhr we might.

Pretty sure that would only apply if we had declared Rivalry. The mechanic is supposed to act as an incentive to Rival other powers and then beat them up, as I understand it.

Our Navy is officially World Class, a title that is shared only with the Sketch.
So long as we stay on top of the game we should be able to stomp Nohon flat when round 2 comes along.

and Hex, which is why Hex drumming up to fight us & Khem for prestige was scary +World Contender army.

When they bounce back, since they just hemorraged prestige, I say be wary of baguette
And with that, thoughts on monarchy dies ._.

[X] Plan And Lawmaking for All

Wish we knew that earlier so we would not have had these debates >3>

I do stand by that they should be equal and not too far though.
I'm pretty sure it should've been noticed earlier when becoming less autocratic gives more PW & PW limit.

[] [Assembly] +1 PW - Limited Citizen, Restricted Minority
...I know this is the norm for pre 21st century (and not really gone now) but damn if it isn't a shame for the the welcoming Ymaryn to be...this.

Amazing efficiency of the newspapers from Citino as always.

Well, to a point, Nohon is rushing naval tech at this point. And ironclads vs not-ironclads can only go one way.
If you're trying to imply that the Nohon will get Ironclads before us like I think you are, then I will have to call the idea rather silly.

We currently have peer naval technologies with the Nohon, while also having a larger industrial, naval, and technological lead on them.
With the rapid distribution of power, and thus increases efficiency and PW, we will have more than enough to constantly push for more and better naval technologies.

Add on the fact that we now have a nearby port, all of the naval advantages Nohon had over us are gone.
There's caution, and then there's paranoia.

Austria & Netherlands+Germany+North France vs our civ (The Not!toman Bear), France, and soon the Brits

Great War=now in 19th century?

EDIT: since Behryvar got double-teamed I wonder if the Fed falls a Tortun phoenix will rise pretty quickly (with the Tortun lands minus Ochruhr in one polity atm)

Honestly, we should probably deliberately encourage this if we get the chance to. A new Tortun Republic who can settle this stuff down and won't simply explode back into madness when we leave would be great.
