Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Here I thought it was an allusion to my crack about the city blowing up and my plan "It's the Only Way to be Sure" when somebody said that should be our goal.

-[X] After looking into the basement lift Recursion Field with Dragon, Chevalier and Taylor attacking from the outside while Vista and Samantha attack from within.
Why Vista attack from within? Neither her powers, nor her gadgets are good to fight in an enclosed space fillled with people.
Meanwhile from the outside she can warp space so all Bakuda's escape routes led to one place in our sights.

So, do we cast Solar Wraith at full power on the building, and hope that A) It flushes them out, and B) we don't get a worse reputation than Mrs. O'Leary and her cow?
I feel like this is relevant.
"You're quite welcome, but I need you to do one thing now that you know." You tilt your head in question. "Try to keep everything in one piece please. We still have to live in this city after you leave. Once I have a chance to brief some of my people on the very basic details and how important it is that we keep this quiet, I can send a team to you should Chevalier give me the word."

Because in cannon, she showed the ability to expand the space between people to separate them if they're not too close to each other. Also close off exits by warping those closed from across the room, and escape some high reaction bizare situations by warping what shes standing on into a pillar. That can move.

Area control, mainly. Add her powers to Samantha's skill set and they become a nightmare to fight in close quarters.

Than Chevalier should also be in that group cause he's a close to mid range fighter instead of waiting outside with us and Dragon.
Also if we're on the outside, what are we attacking? The building that Vista and Sam are currently inside of? Everyone else is inside.

Myrddin and the innocent people of Chicago have done nothing to warrant us setting their home aflame.
Just why would this ever be appealing?
I'm not saying appealing, I'm saying it's probably inevitable... There are probably middling chances that Bakuda has brain bombs all round Chicago. I think there is a good chance that Chicago will burn, either due to Taylor, Bakuda or Myrddin being the Dresden expy that he is...

Edit: Actually the combination of all three will probably make it quite likely...

Hey @Silently Watches, mind telling me if the vote is self-contradictory, or do I need to make it a bit more clear?

My idea was that Sam and Vista rush Bakuda while the others provide support from the outside and attack , though there's a point to it being a bit null with a whole building in-between.

    [X] Operation High and Low
-[X] Deploy the Recursion Field and scout the entire building, not just the basement. We're looking for the workshop, Bakuda's most likely location, traps and escape routes.
--[X] If by some chance Coil and/or Bakuda have cape backup that gets caught by the Recursion Field, take them down.
-[X] Ranged combatants cover the building and as many exits as possible.
-[X] Close-quarters combatants preposition in wherever we think Bakuda is.
-[X] Drop the Recursion Field and let hilarity ensue.
--[X] Outside team goes loud, tries to flush or kite the goon squad away from the building.
-[X] Once we have Bakuda contained, call the Protectorate and start rifling through her shit.

It isn't contradictory. It's a valid division of team members. Whether it's the best split or not I won't tell you.

Just know that the team inside is going to be in the middle of their enemy's territory without backup or a way out while the team outside tries to make their way inside through the walls and floor and any minions Bakuda has. So, you know, squishies wouldn't be the best choice.

O-kay, once again changing it. @landcollector, if you want to change it...?

[] Divide and Conquer.
-[] Deploy Recursion Field and scout out the basement.

It's probably gonna involve close quarters combat, and dealing with a bomb tinker Vista's power would really come in handy.

I was being a smart alec, hence the crack about getting a worse reputation than Mrs. O'leary's Cow.

I apologize for making assumptions, everybody who lives in Chicagoland grew up learning the story of Mrs. O'Leary's cow and how she started the Great Chicago Fire when they were in elementary school.
I just realized that is probably a local reference that people outside Chicagoland (officially "Chicago Metropolitan Area") probably wouldn't know.

Sorry if the joke was too local. I'm not even a Chicagoan, I'm a Suburbanite.

Nah, you're good. I knew about it even though I'm a Michiganite.

@LancerisDead I think just scouting for the basement is a mistake. Recursion field means we can look for traps and escape routes and have most of the base scouted out before we drop it to engage. Plus Bakuda is most likely in her tinker lab given Tinker habits in Worm. We just need to find the lab.

Scouting the entire place also gives us information on likely guard numbers as well as armory locations plus their barracks area.

This is why I like Mal-3's plan.
[] Operation High and Low
-[] Deploy the Recursion Field and scout the entire building, not just the basement. We're looking for the workshop, Bakuda's most likely location, traps and escape routes.

--[] Inside team takes Bakuda fast and hard. Secure the target and then teleport out.
-[] Once we have Bakuda contained, call the Protectorate and start rifling through her shit.
Taking advantage of Recursion Field to scout everything. Isolates any enemy capes that happen to get sucked into our territory. Having our group split into teams to cover all ends. And we could look through Bakuda's stuff and maybe find some info on her employer's current base. The vote just needs to be edited to clarify who's on what team.
