"Ewwww."

Welp, there goes a good 80% of their ability to stop Matter creators and Thinkers from crashing markets. How cheap is gold right now, I wonder?Oh, you can still find Number Man. Go to Cauldron's old base, and you'll find him over there, over there, down there, over there, and up there. Short version: oh yeah, he dead.
No, the Protectorate still runs Thinkers to guard against it, and those Thinkers aren't nearly so hamstrung now... it's probably a wash, or people starting problems but then getting arrested. Not to mention there aren't very many permanent matter creators in canon and they're all biological. Besides, he never stopped the most likely type of problem case - Coil was able to become very wealthy off his power, but he's just so much smaller than the entire economy that the disruption was limited, because he wasn't actually setting out to crash anything and there just aren't that many capes with relevant powers.Welp, there goes a good 80% of their ability to stop Matter creators and Thinkers from crashing markets. the one our school friend is shipping us with might have their number.Drat. Well cant say i didnt see it coming.
On the upside, this will win us points with the Heros. Given Chevvy's desire to establish a better working relationship with the villians maybe we can slip the rest of Fairyland a message or something to let them know shes not dead.
She turns to stare at you, and for such a burly woman she looks like she is about to break apart into a thousand pieces. "Please tell me you're making it up. That this is all a cruel joke at my expense. Please."
...Yeah, their marriage is going down in flames. It's a pity, it really is."If it's clean enough, I may wind up joining you," Lacey says, and you can't tell if she is trying to lighten the mood or not. "But I want you to understand something, Taylor. Danny asked me to take care of you if anything happened to him. I will not be unworthy of that trust. Regardless of Kurt, or the Privateers, or anything else. My home is always open to you."
The slight chance exists that Lacey will slap sense into Kurt....Yeah, their marriage is going down in flames. It's a pity, it really is.
Why do you have to ask me something like this as the very first idea? Can Tim make something like a Stasis capsule? As in, a small thing that you can attach to a person, it would generate a forcefield around them, and they get magically "frozen" so that no injuries would get worse, Lung won't advance, all processes would pause, with guaranteed continuation once the field is down, stuff like that.
Vista's arm is going to be a contentious enough vote that I'll hold a separate vote for its armament (whenever it gets voted on to build).for Vista's arm
variable munitions micro-missles in the shoulder area?
finger lasers like the Zeong?
Maybe a machine gun like Vash the Stampede?
I've already said no to the multi-form projections. The reason for that is that when you're trying to use forcefield generators and lasers to create a tangible form, I have a sneaking suspicion the pieces are going to need to be in just the right position relative to each other for the final projection to be in any way stable. That means disassembling and reassembling the projector every time you want to change its image, and you'd need different pieces to shape the forcefields in such and such a way, which means you couldn't just reuse pieces but would have to have a whole new set for each projection you want to use. That would get too bulky for Vista to use.
Taylor's already warned that Samantha might have a little too much fun with a lightsaber (), and I've never said you can't give Vista weapons in addition to her arm. She'd have to be a little stealthy about carrying it, though, as wielding a lightsaber and hacking off arms a la Anakin Skywalker/Count Dooku/Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker (holy crap a lot of people take off hands in that series!) would spoil the PRT's image of sweet wholesome Vista.
Mass production I'm leery on, mostly for story reasons rather than actual mechanics. Theoretically, he could build assembly lines.I wonder, could Tim build a machine to mass produce relatively simple magitech?
This doesn't even need a device. A data file is all this would take.Like say, a simple device that allows/helps an ignorant mage cast Guardian beast.
Surprisingly yes. I actually had an idea way back in the beginning (like Arc 1 and 2 beginning) that between getting an early Gadgeteer and working with the Privateers, I'd be seeing ideas for hovercars or hovertanks or even an actual flying pirate ship with laser cannons. That never materialized, though.
Can't multi-form projectors work by basically strapping them to tiny manipulators in the arm, so that they can reassemble or, more correctly, reposition themselves into the needed shape?I've already said no to the multi-form projections. In addition, the automated assembly tools would have to be very fine in order to put everything together, particularly in the confines of her arm. Fine instruments like this are delicate, and please remember that this is a combat arm you're talking about. They'd get broken the first time someone hit her.
If you really really really wanted interchangeable weapons, you'd be better served with plug-n-play projectors, though those have their own issues with regards to being able to be more easily damaged since the connector pieces aren't hardwired and reinforced in her arm like a stable, permanent projector would be.
The Privateers, at least the militant faction anyway, are not interested in their targets living.Perhaps some sort of non lethal goo grenade for the Privateers? Give them an option beyond 'shoot 'em and hope they live'.
Just realized I misread your question as airship, not spaceship. The answer is still yes, but it would take longer for safety reasons, plus the Simurgh doesn't like people invading her playground.
No. The way the physics work in my head, a hardlight weapon is formed from the interaction of multiple forcefields. To change the shape of the weapon, you need to change the shape of the forcefields. The problem is that in order to be portable, the independent forcefield emitters can only create a forcefield of one specific shape, so to change the shape of the forcefield you have to use an entirely different emitter. The number of emitters you would need would grow exponentially the more forms you tried to give a weapon. Can't multi-form projectors work by basically strapping them to tiny manipulators in the arm, so that they can reassemble or, more correctly, reposition themselves into the needed shape?
Yes, you can give her a suit of power armor. Not in this build vote, or at least not if you also give her an arm, but it's entirely possible.how about power armor with a flight system for vista?
We can put a lot more weapons in that then in an arm.
No. She doesn't have a Linker Core, which means no magic, which means no Devices.Could vista use an storage device so she can keep her combat arm/power armor in it while not using it?
The only time we see any multidimensional shenanigans is with Devices themselves, which I think piggyback off their user for a lot of their power and have a backup generator for emergency use. It doesn't seem to be something used much in canon, and I have to think there's a reason for that. So dimensional storage is a no-go.How much multidimensional tech can Tim make? putting most of the machinery in a pocket dimension is a staple of this kind of magitech right?
I've already said no, no, and no to this.I'd want Tim to make a dummy Device whose sole purpose is to forcefully connect to parahumans, whether they have linker cores or not.
Plating, no. It would be theoretically possible to create a shield of some kind that would do that, but it would create a dimensional dislocation in the process. Those are generally considered no bueno.Any chance of dimensionally refractive armor plating? As in, the plate 'catches' an incoming packet of energy/matter, and shunts itself (or in advanced versions, just the packet) into the Dimensional Sea with whatever it caught.
Good idea for an item, and one I'd definitely allow. Bad choice for user base, though. The militant faction of the Privateers considers "shoot 'em all" to be a feature, not a bug.Perhaps some sort of non lethal goo grenade for the Privateers?
