That shock Baton was just charged enough to get through Sam's fircefield. Like Tim said, not much special about the suits, and he got a point for the next armor upgrade from analyzing the suits already.Like, I don't know, I don't suppose we managed to walk out of the slayer hoard with any info on the Shock Baton that was enough of a brute-smasher to drop Samantha?
Correct.Theres something about each "completed project" giving a single point, right?
So if we used (I am understanding math right?) 1? of 4 production-capacity on the Transfer-Station and 3 of 4 production-capacity on the Unison Device, thats two projects and we'd have a total of 5 Tech Points to spend on new skills this vote?
No, you have to have enough points to buy it outright. It's why you can save your points. We can invest points towards a skill without having enough to finish, right? (Voting to BUY when we're just making a down payment risks sounding like I misunderstand the cost where I don't)
You ALREADY got points from analyzing Richter's tech, namely Dragon's own thought process during the fishing trip. It was put into Advanced Devices, I believe.would give at least one Inspiration towards Exotic Physics from having studied Richter's impossible programming skillz.
I put the Tinkertech branch there in case you guys wanted to go Tinker-hunting, just so you'd have another option for future activities. Asking Dragon to give you her scraps is just a little pathetic.@Silently Watches, let's imagine we already have Exotic Physics. Let's imagine we want Tim to study some Tinkertech teleports so he can build stuff like Kid Win's Alternator cannon. Will this be a valid vote for Tim's build time?
To clarify, I meant its teleportation mechanism, so Tim could build something like teleportation grenade or power armor which teleports to Privateer wherever he is.And regarding the Alternator Cannon, I would tell you no more because Tim has a skill for building large weapons like that.
If you want him to be able to build weapons or armor that teleport to their user, he can build something that does that all on his own without analyzing Tinkertech. He has a teleportation spell, as seen in his character sheet and this last chapter. To clarify, I meant its teleportation mechanism, so Tim could build something like teleportation grenade or power armor which teleports to Privateer wherever he is.
Ah, so he is capable to build something like that!If you want him to be able to build weapons or armor that teleport to their user, he can build something that does that all on his own without analyzing Tinkertech. He has a teleportation spell, as seen in his character sheet and this last chapter.
For AMF and POSSIBLY teleporters, I am willing to give you an okay on ONLY because they are in the show, though I won't make it easy.
I think I said that regarding Star Trek-style teleporters. Call your weapon to you teleporters I view differently since the mechanics would be easier.Ah, so he is capable to build something like that!
I just dimly remembered you said no when someone suggested Tim to build a teleporter...
It'd be pretty expensive, both in a material and time-frame cost. We'd, in overly simple terms, be combining the production of power armor and several mecha-shift weapons, energy or otherwise. It'd almost be at the point where artisanal hand-crafting is more appropriate a descriptor than any kind of industrial production. If the point of Tim is to eventually equip a relatively moderate force with weapons to fight enemy capes and Endbringers, it's too much. If we're attempting to make a new 'hero' when shard powers and Devices exist, it'd be so limited in circumstance as to be an even more expensive one-off than Unison Dragon.Hmmm. Question - assuming we want to go that way, is "Iron Man Armor" with all its bells and whistles - onboard AI, repulsor beams, high speed flight, durability, advanced compact power source, et cetera - feasible?
I mean, it obviously needs at least Energy Weapons to get the repulsor beams, but what about other things?
And will it even be half as reliable as Iron Man movies show us?
Is this one, finally, correctly built?[X] Plan Droning Sessions
-[X] 3 TU - Work with Dragon on her Unison Device conversion process.
-[X] 1 TU - Build an offensive oriented drone and hook it up to the command center. Primary armament should be stunning energy blasts, with options to dial up the yield for brutes
-[X] Buy Energy Weapons 1 Point
-[X] Buy Subdermal Energy Lattice
You need to tag the QM. Otherwise you just need to hope they come across it before the bandwagon catches on. If it does.
given SW's regular quotes.............no. Not at all. It won't be useful as armor, it can't be a backup shield projector, flight is better done by you and your device, AI is your device. We don't know a whole lot about energy weapons yet, but he's said they're nothing when set beside your device, even if it wasn't perfect storm.Hmmm. Ive said this before, but the point is the Privateers. Giving them laser guns they'll just become every other murderous gang. Multipurpose drones tricked out by Tim and Dragon OTOH offers them a place on the field and smooths over the "long live the king" plotline so we may actually be able to do something.I'm curious, what is the point of the drone? Tim isn't in combat that often.
Something tells me they won't be enthused by a mostly nonlethal weapon system.Ive said this before, but the point is the Privateers. shrug if they can stungun and then tie up an entire drug den or weapons warehouse, steal the money, flush the drugs, dismantle the weapons and turn the criminals over to the cops they can achieve the same thing without getting a bad rep.Something tells me they won't be enthused by a mostly nonlethal weapon system.
It's interesting that you bring up Iron Man. The DFNS-A suits Tim's already built? They look like the Mark I suit but lack weapons like the Mark II. I actually designed the Gadgeteer tree where you could play the character like Q from Bond fame, like Tony Stark, or somewhere in between.Hmmm. Material-wise, not as much as you might think. It helps that Tim has a micro foundry that can liquify and separate different materials so you can accumulate a lot of resources from scrap. It is correctly built, but you'll have to wait until next week to build the transfer mechanism to actually turn Dragon into a Unison Device.
It's not the weapons or lack thereof that are the issue. Some of the Privateers feel that if the system in place isn't enough to deter the villains, they should just be killed so they're no longer a threat.Ive said this before, but the point is the Privateers.
