Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[X] Explore the Dragonslayers' (maybe?) base
We don't know what contingencies the Dragonslayers might have, and leaving their base alone where they might have teammates to rescue Saint would be incredibly annoying. Not to mention we know Saint has an in on Dragon, so getting rid of that would be good as well.

And with this 'fight' we have officially out-ranged 99% percent of the normal parahuman blasters. At least when it comes to accurate fire. Wonder what will happen to our classifications now:). At least the collateral damage is reasonable for a high power blaster vs multiple power armour fight. At least it was over quickly.

And did PS just stop a remote activation of Ascalon?
Wow, that would make Saint's self-righteous bullshit even more bullshit. To me that says if Saint ever somehow lost a fight against Dragon, he'd automatically kill her. In fact, there's not even a guarantee that he'd lose to Dragon and have her cause her own death, assuming that really was Ascalon remote activating. If he can't win, then Dragon definitely isn't allowed to.

Plus, it has to be us. We get Perfect Storm to hack everything!!!

Edit: It's almost a pity Taylor doesn't know about Perfect Storm's mind control powers. Jacking Saint as another Tinker would have been useful.

We can't send Samantha to check out the Dragonslayers' base?

That's a good point... Can we not do that? Send Sam to scout it out while we deal with the PRT and our Dad? I feel like there might be some kinda Ascalon on a timer in there ready to wipe out dragon if Saint doesn't report in within a certain amount of time so it might be a good idea to go investigate that place ASAP.

There is no remote activation of Ascalon, Word of QM.

Yeah, let's check this out. Even if Ascalon isn't on a deadman's switch of some sort, it's still worth checking out.

Nah.
... oh fucking hell.
Fuck it.
FUCK. IT.
It's a manageable fire, it's clearly not important enough for Taylor to actually remember she chose a fucking oil storage facility as a battleground. Moving on.
There was a reason I described the contents of the warehouse last chapter. I'm kind of glad no one thought about fire magic + flammable contents = burning building. :D

Nope. You guys clearly STILL fail to understand the "you have to pick one option" thing. If I was willing to let you do both, there wouldn't be much point in giving you a choice, now would there?

-[X] Call Tim and ask if he wants to come, snap decision. He might be a decent option for a second opinion on the spoils of war. Even if he doesn't, he's the designated research guy on those once we bring it back.
-[X] Do a scan to see who the mage is among them as well as seeing if there is still any working piece of equipment on them you need to remove to make sure they don't have a way to escape.
-[X] Remove the Dragon Slayers from their power armor, and have them padded down and cuffed. Give a statement through Perfect storm as we travel to their base.

Other people had good ideas, so I changed my vote.

I dunno, it seems perfectly reasonable to me that there would be disadvantages to sending Sam to the base in our place, just as there will be disadvantages in leaving her behind to talk to the cops.

But you're the QM, so rule 0

Thank you for the correction on my idiocy. So it looks like Perfect Storm was just piggybacking on their comms if I understand what she was saying correctly. Makes me wonder if the Dragonslayers back at base caught that. Might mean we'd get a warm welcome.
The Dragonslayers only have three members. No support staff, no auxiliaries, nothing but a Russian salvager, an ex-cop, and a Teacher puppet. Storm was just hacking their computer systems; the suits' onboard databases and communications.

Now, the DS may have hired mercs to break them out, or otherwise provide backup in some form. We don't know for sure.

Can we pop off some Rust Shooters before we go? Really make sure the Dragonslayers aren't able to cause any trouble at all. (And the PRT has no excuse for 'losing' them)

Nevermind, reread the chapter.

@Silently Watches it didn't change the result of the vote, since we both voted for the option that won anyway, but looking at your tally a couple of posts above the latest update, it didn't seem to mention my name or that of @Stone Mason. Is that because our votes (like this one) included other commentary, or something else? (I'm not sure how SV's tally system works).
