Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[X] Protect the helpless – How many people get injured every day in Brockton Bay because of the gangs? Someone needs to be their guardian. Might as well be you.

Ok, I'm going to go against the grain and argue against the bandwagon and go with:

[] Back up the heroes – It's a bad sign when literal Nazis outnumber the Protectorate. If you make each hero worth two or three or ten villains, though, maybe the tables can be turned.

NOTE: (No x because I already voted in SB)

Here is why:

*First, a support will lead to a more team-oriented story. Whether we go hero or villain, we will likely deploy and interact with a team. I like team oriented quests, since we can usually dictate strategies and tactics for multiple people.

*Second, supports can be offensive powerhouses. Mid level supports can forcibly teleport someone against their will, use barriers to cut something in half, heal others, and have companion creatures like Friedrich.
High level supports can mess up linker cores, teleport out body parts, and summon creatures as large and as powerful as an endbringer (such as Voltaire).

*Third, supports are among the best at nonlethal takedowns (along with a bombard mage). In the world where it is taboo to kill other capes, the ability to do nonlethal takedowns would be extremely powerful and useful.

*Fourth, supports are capable of creating and maintaining large pocket dimensions. One of the actual cornerstones of the Nanoha-verse is the ability to create pocket dimensions in which to fight in. Inside these pocket dimensions, we can level city blocks without it affecting the outside world. Imagine doing this during an endbringer attack.

*Finally, supports can tinker. Support class mages are the mages that maintain intelligent devices and enchant the Wolkenritter's magic cartridges. If we want to be able to upgrade our device ourselves, we will want to be a support.

[X] Destroy the villains – The gangs are the reason Brockton Bay is such a hellhole. If they were wiped out, maybe the city could return to its heyday, or at least be livable without worrying that you would be gunned down in the streets.

[X] Rebuild the injured – The heroes might fight the villains off, but you've seen the damage those fights can cause. Buildings demolished and people hurt or even killed. You could make them better, stronger, faster. If only you had the technology…

I don't care for debates or good reasons not to pick this, I'm picking it because FIAH POWAH!

This is an accurate progress vote. I've removed the duplicate votes from the people who didn't get the hint yesterday.

He's running this quest on SB too, and is grouping the votes together. Duplicates don't count, obviously.

How does that work anyways? It just seems like it'd be so much more work for maybe a little bit more people looking at it, especially when there are a lot of people who look at both SB and SV anyways.

Stops the players from voting for one option on SB and another on SV, so that the GM doesn't have to write two updates.

I mostly meant the posting on both as a full quest but I suppose it's better to do it on both, instead of only posting the story posts on one thread cause now I think about it it's not quite fair otherwise.

From what I understand, it is a pain to host a quest on two different forums. You can't rely on the vote counter as much, and the two sections of the playerbase occasionally have problems with each other. Or so I've heard.

It can be a headache, yes.

You heard right, at least as far as the vote counter. I'm still deciding whether or not to move the quest entirely over to SB. On the one hand, it would be easier on me in terms of counting out the votes, I won't have to copy-and-paste to two sites, and I spend more of my time on that board than this one. On the other hand, I want this quest to be accessible to as many people as possible, and it's not like my moving it from one site to the other would cause a flood of people to create new accounts. They'd just drop the quest entirely instead, and I couldn't exactly blame them for it. Merging votes this way takes a little bit of time, true, but it isn't like it's all that hard.

Thankfully, there were only about 5 or 6 of the 84 voters who tried to cheat the system by double-voting, so I don't feel like a total naïf for trying to run the same quest on two boards. If there had been a bunch of duplicates, I would have been much more irritated and far and away more likely to close this thread.
