Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[ ] Rebuild the injured – The heroes might fight the villains off, but you've seen the damage those fights can cause. Buildings demolished and people hurt or even killed. You could make them better, stronger, faster. If only you had the technology…

Better living through SCIENCE MAGIC

[X] Protect the helpless – How many people get injured every day in Brockton Bay because of the gangs? Someone needs to be their guardian. Might as well be you.

Granted, this is the most idealistic option, but someone who provides shield and succor to the defenseless just seems to be a better hero than one that simply wipes out the opposition.

This quest is going to be fun. I see many fun laser based battles in the future.

[X] Back up the heroes – It's a bad sign when literal Nazis outnumber the Protectorate. If you make each hero worth two or three or ten villains, though, maybe the tables can be turned.

At this stage in Taylor's life she is most bitter about those who should be protecting her deciding to side with bullies. She doesn't want her bullies destroyed she wants to stop.

[X] Destroy the villains – The gangs are the reason Brockton Bay is such a hellhole. If they were wiped out, maybe the city could return to its heyday, or at least be livable without worrying that you would be gunned down in the streets.

I would like to point out that building buildings better, stronger, and faster implies that the buildings can move. So in addition to combat cyborgs we could probably do stuff like flying fortresses and Geofronts. And maybe giant robots. Who knows.

Sold. Let's turn skyscrapers into mechs for kaiju fights Endbringer battles.

This is possible, but it would be a hell of a long way away. And it's a matter of constructing buildings on moving foundations rather than making existing buildings move.

Combined with the votes on SB, we have
Protect=29
Rebuild=21
Destroy=17
Back up=1

I'm thinking about moving this quest entirely over to SB, by the way, mostly because it's more of an irritation tallying all this up from two threads than I expected (but also because I see some people who are double-voting, which I shouldn't have to explain is unsporting).

Still, for the first vote, I'm actually rather pleased! And it's still close, so there's time for new votes or people changing their minds. I plan to leave the vote open until Wednesday around noon.

Wait, aren't these the 4 templates for the Wolkenritter? Going down the list, it goes Signum, Vita, Shamal, Zafira for the archetypes it seems. Of the 4, Vita is definitely my favorite though so I think I made the right decision.

Not quite. In no particular order, it's Belkan Knight, Support Mage, Combat Cyborg, and the classic Bombardment Mage.
say, could we get a lesser aspect of the second place winner?
There may or may not be a chance to add abilities later on. MUCH later on.

I'm thinking that
Protect is Belkan Knight
Rebuild is Combat Cyborg
Destroy is Bombardment Mage
Back up is Support Mage

Combat cyborg is tricky, since the process to make one requires genetic manipulation. Taylor would have to rebuild herself up in order to be able to work right, and that will take a lot of resources in both time and material.

Unless the Device can do it right now, which would constitute the body horror the QM warned of before.

Nope, thats Belkan Knights.

Support mages instead focus on high complexity others-targeting effects, teleportation, barriers, binding spells, healing, energy transfer, multiplier effects etc.
