Plan "Burn all the things" it is. You do realize that if anything catches on fire in Philadelphia, you're going to be suspect number one, right? Character sheets have been updated.

Well, looks like Ragnarok isn't going to be used very often, or possibly at all. Although I do find myself wondering what the other requirements to use Ragnarok without killing ourselves is.

Master Solar Wrath and get the Charge Cartridge under the Knight skill tree. Maybe Divide Energy under Guardian Beast as well since it is basically about energy efficiency.

Hm. The conditions we can see for Ragnarök are pretty heavy, but I'm wondering. It's not the complexity that's the issue with Ragnarök, it's the power and the strain it'll put us under, right? Could we partly circumvent that through cartridges? Spend those casting Recursion Field, or to buffer us through Ragnarök so we don't immediately pass out at least? I suppose we'll have to see if/when we unlock cartridges.

I'm a little curious as to what the 3 so-far unrevealed conditions will be; I get the feeling they will be more restrictive the further down the list they are.

The issue is one of power, yes. The one visible condition is actually the most restrictive, but the others all require spells you don't have yet.
So did Taylor's outfit change a bit with the Knight tree influence? Or are we still looking like a Witch?
Outfits do not change much if at all with secondary templates. Your Device, on the other hand, does have small change related to Flare Blade.

Harry Dresden makes it work, so can we.
Ragnarök – The ultimate Flare-affinity bombardment spell. This is a city-killer and has no setting lower than apocalyptic. Has specific conditions to use safely.
  • Have not cast any other spells since waking up. After casting Ragnarök, you will pass out until the next morning.
  • ******** ***

  • ***** ** **********
  • If none of the above conditions have been fulfilled, the strain of casting this spell will cause your Linker Core to implode, and the shock will kill you.

... nobody's got a problem we just bought something we can't use, OK then.
Charge Cartridge (0/3 Novice) – Store mana in bullet casings for later use. Cartridges are fed into the Device from dimensional storage. The more powerful the spell, the more cartridges it consumes. 4 cartridges can be created per day, and you are left weakened until you get a full night's sleep. You will gain 1 level of mana poisoning for every 50 cartridges spent in a 24-hour period.
Oh look, a lighter version of the thing people dropped Transcendent Gadgeteer over.

I, for one, have a problem with it. I'm just sitting in my room, thinking "I told you it's not going to be useful." Endbringers are most likely not going to be insta-killed by it, and other people are not worth nuking a city.
And come on, people, we even have a hat and a skimpy skirt already!

@Silently Watches, could you tell us if by "weakened" you meant "after a good workout weakened" or "please let me die weakened"?

I'm sure we'll find some awesome place to use it eventually, and I'll never complain about having a city-killing spell, but I certainly don't think we needed to pick it up yet.

We did just trash much of a town and a dimensional copy of it, including a beam with radiation, to kill a bunch of Neo-Nazis.
Throw in capes like Moord Nag, Sleeper, or Gesellschaft, and the Slaughterhouse Nine is not the only group that's due a lethal sunbath.
If I didn't remember that we've been told Taylor's got a body-horror way out of death, I'd be a bit more miffed we bought a spell we literally didn't have the spells to use or any idea of the spells needed to use it.
I meant it as "You REALLY don't want to get in a fight because you'll have basically no mana left" weakened.
So roughly the same drawback to making a device template, but for a single day.

Hmmm
******** ***

8 character word, followed by 3 character word.
Familiar Aid?
If so it should be somewhere after Divide Energy, split the casting load between us and Samantha

********* *******
11 characters 7 characters
Both are long so it's hard to figure out

***** ** **********
Five characters, two characters, and then ten characters

Two character slot helps. Not many words with that in common use:
-an
-in
-on
-to
-of
-by

You get the idea

Abuse Of Cartridges?
:p

"City is burning! It's all Calamity's fault!"
"Hey, if it was me, there wouldn't be city to burn!"

Two questions, if you don't mind:
1. Just to be sure, cartridges can be used instead of Taylor's mana or they can be used with Taylor's mana to strengthen her spells, right?
2. Can we create not all but, for example, half of day norm of cartridges?
