...It was just dancing tho. I don't think anyone expected Taylor to do anything special. Or to get anything from it really.

Hell, I was kinda hoping she'd embarrass herself a bit in the meanwhile. But she got off the dance floor feeling a bit better about herself, so I think it went well.

...Also, why the hell are the PRT so useless in this situation?? Have they been doing anything against the Case 53 monsters??

The first is literally finding an ignored corner and transforming. People will see the flash, but you're hoping everyone will be too distracted by the music or the Rats attacking the patio to pay you any attention until you're already disguised, just like people notice Superman flying out of a phone booth but weren't paying attention to the guy who went inside. There's still a risk that someone was looking at the wrong place at the wrong time and will see you become Calamity Witch.

The second is leaving the room and finding someplace like an empty bathroom where you can be sure no one will see you. It is safer to you, but it will take more time and leave the patio defenseless for longer. I can't help but picture the scene in The Dark Knight where Bruce runs into the "panic room" at his penthouse so he can dress as Batman when the Joker's attacking the party, hence the name for this choice.

Question? We realize that by calling the PRT, we narrow down our identity to the PRT to "One of the people at that party" right? Or is there some plausible explanation I'd be missing?

No, but your question is kinda pointless. We're already registered with the PRT as an independent hero. They're not going to out our identity. Not unless we go Slaughterhouse nine or something like that. And no, Tagg was a completely different context.
Ease back on the paranoia, ok?

…Baaaaasically like what @Always Late said. The PRT doesn't care about your civ ID because you're on their side, so digging into who you are when you aren't in costume is a waste of resources. It gives them absolutely no benefit, and they know that if an affiliated hero finds out that they were doing that, it's a good way to lose a cape who would otherwise be willing to help them.

[X] Where's a phone booth when you need it? – You don't want to leave anyone to get hurt by these Rats, but you owe it to your dad to keep your secret. Use the inevitable chaos to find a corner in which to change.

[X] Step 1: have Perfect Storm call the PRT and let them know that Rat Case 53's are crashing a party at... where ever you are. While Perfect storm makes that call use your telepathy to contact Samantha and have her inform Danny. All this while diving under a table to hide? Why yes. Now get your Barrier Jacket on and get moving!
-[X] Step 2: Cast Recursion Field, Exit the house, and get into the sky - it should trap the rats right? They are capes of some kind. But even if it does you don't want to stay on the ground with them.
--[X] If you catch the rats in the field, warn them: "Surrender or die!" You've always wanted to say that to someone after all, and now seems as good a time as any.
---[X] If the Rats surrender have Perfect Storm call the PRT again if he can to get an ETA on backup and prisoner pick up.

Sure, it'll be tiring, but you only really need to delay until the PRT arrive. Doesn't mean you won't blast away with some lethal Flare Shooters though.

The rats shrugged of your stun shots last time and if it comes to their lives or the lives of your school mates... So do your best to try to delay the rats while the party goers flee.

Edit: Changed my vote to Major Session's plan cuz it does cover quite a few bases and seems well thought out. I'm all for it.
