Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Unlike the Hybrid Shard, we don't have the backdoor codes for messing with Endbringers at a software level (Hive got lucky because the device crashed into, and then assimilated, QA's shard and hijacked all her admin-level access codes).

Nah, people were discussing the idea of messing with the endbringers on a software level here, but we don't have such direct codes since our version of Taylor got disconnected from QA when she got her Device.

What does it take to send an Endbringer to another world?
We need 4 mages casting teleportation spell at the same time.
Problem is, normal teleportation spell demands that the caster and their target should stay very close to each other, both should stay still for several seconds, and both will be teleported. When our target is an Endbringer, it's very close to a suicidal mission.

So we should use a special Forced Displacement spell, which lets the caster teleport their target from a distance without teleporting themselves.
Problem is, this spell is available only for a mage with a Boost Device and B-rank Linker core or higher, and we have exactly one such a mage, Missy.
(it also should be noted, Forced Displacement is for teleportation in the same dimension, so it can't teleport an Endbringer to another world, but it's enough to send it into orbit where hopefully the TSAB ship with Arc-en-ciel will be waiting)

You ever ask a question, the answer makes you think of something, and then you thinking about it prompts a burst of writing. Yeah, that happened. Hope you enjoy this short and sweet omake.

Layers
T: "Alright, now onto Barrier Jackets. Barrier Jackets are like onions."
L: "They stink?"
T: "What? No."
M: "They make people cry, duh."
T: "No, well, sometimes when you punch someone. Or kick."
K: "If we wear them in the sun, we'll turn brown? Maybe turn our hair blonde?"
T: "Starting to get white hairs from this conversation. No. Layers. Onions have layers. Barrier Jackets have layers. I was making a simile. They both have layers."
K: "Okay… But why use onions? Why not another layered food?"
M: "Like sandwiches!"
L: "Or dip."
M: "Or Lasagna."
K: "Cake! Everybody likes cake! Cakes have layers!"
T: "I don't care what everyone likes! Barrier Jackets are not like cakes! You know what, let's take a break and come back to this later. I need to calm down a bit."
L: "Sounds good, I'm getting kinda hungry actually."
K: "Lunch at Prostello's then?"
M: "I'm game."
T: "Alright, I'll get the coordinates for teleport."

What does it take to send an Endbringer to another world? I never saw that. I figure it requires large scape teleportation, or a portal.
I am still playing catch up on important info like this.

@Wyrd, how long have you been following this quest?

In character? I joined just after the vote for what to give the Adepts, so two to three months. In meat space? No idea.

The thing is, we don't need the mages casting Forced Displacement to necessarily be members of Arcana. Getting a team capable of this is a large part of why I supported project Pentagram. We'll need Tim to build Boost Devices, and people willing to specialize in support roles, but with the changes to how regular Mages work, mechanistically speaking, that should be far easier. We've even been giving the green light to give the PRT forces who are strong enough an upgrade from the Storage Devices to Advanced Devices so they can start learning spells that currently not available simply because they only had Gears to make Devices.

We might still be able to mess with the enbringers on a software level, although this seems unlikely.

This is a valid idea.

Neat.

Since we have assimilated the Simurgh into The Good Guy Faction, how about we call the endbringers the endbros?

We might still be able to mess with the enbringers on a software level, although this seems unlikely.
In hypothesis we could backengineer whatever method Simurgh in her current form uses to communicate to the other Conflict Engines, and figure out how to code-inject them, but we'd need to learn what works and how to do this without alerting Scion (or other Entities) who might be monitoring the communication channels, or causing the Conflict Engines to retaliate against an attempted direct attack.

We would also have to know that it is even possible, as Cassiel did not tell us anything about being able to communicate with them. This could be one of the setting changes SW made for whatever reason.

Ziz canonically communicated with her brothers through patterns of telekinesis affecting their respective media. She no longer has the oomph to do that.

Even when she did, it was less a conversation and more coordinates and instructions. They didn't talk back to her.

Negotiating with the non-sapient generally fails to accomplish anything, jsyk.
The endbringers were negotiated with in Worm in canon. It probably won't happen in MGET, but it is an option.

Edit: Just read SW's post. The negotiation is VERY unlikely from what they said.
I think we should ask Cassiel at some point in-story. I promise to remind everyone of it when the time comes.

What's next, a Shirtless Bishonen bullet?
Yes
Maybe in the future. Anyone else want to take a crack at that one?
I gotcha covered
Idea for the Awkward Arsenal Omakes: stink bomb bullets. Sound effect bullets(fart noises combined with the stink bombs for best effect :p)
In a few days.

K is Kayleigh
F is Firefly
T is Taylor
Al is Alucard

Kayleigh's Awkward Armory p3

K: Alright Tay, just stand there. I wanna test a new bullet that tears apart armor but leaves the person unharmed

T: 👍

*K fires the bullet*

T: Where my shirt go? And my tits?! I have small tits but I got titties dammit! 😱 And now I have a dick!

*F enters scene*

F: No K I gave you the wrong bullet don't use... Uh, shit

K: Wait, this is a Shirtless Bishoenen Bullet, isn't? Y u make it?

Fi: 😳 Pe...Personal reasons!

*Runs away*

*Al pops up*

Al: Another Sparkler I see.

T: *screams and flees*

K: Uh, wut u doin here?

Al: I am a vampire hunter. Specifically, it is my mission to kill any sparkler I find.

*K then shoots Al*

Al: Aw damn, now Imma sparkler

*Kills himself*

Yes. Negotiating with the endbros is one of my proposals.

And thus the circle is complete.

The chain went something along these lines:
(Note: This is several different people talking. Also, I'm not stating that I have not done this same thing myself, as that would be a lie)

We could download them into a UD, despite SW saying we can't*
We can't download their minds because they aren't sapient beings.
Canon Simurgh communicated with *them*
We don't know if this version of her ever communicated with any of them. We don't know to even ask the question.**
Negotiating with them was one of my proposals.

*Since you included that in your own suggestion, this isn't me being trolling.
**Cassiel did, however, explicitly say that only she was sapient and even that was an unintended side effect of how her programming worked.

Here is the list of plans that might show up in the story. The discussion on endbringers was very fruitful, so this won't be the rambling monstrosity my other post was.

Twist em Up

Teleport endbros to space/a dead world, use TSAB superweapon.

What we need to do...

Position the superweapon.
Teleport the enbringers.

Why this will be useful...

Kill the endbringers, avoid collateral damage.

Problems...

Getting enough mages trained in teleportation.
Slowing down the endbros enough to teleport them.

No Kill like OVERKILL

Make several superweapons to kill endbringers. You never know what might go wrong.

What we need to do...

Get some Tinkers together and make superweapons.

Why this is useful...

More options in case something goes wrong

Eternal Jail

Find ways to imprison/trap the endbring

What we need to do...

Get some Tinkers together and build; also, find time manipulators and parahumans who can do this

Why this is useful...

If we permanently imprison them, they are no issue. Even if we can't permanently imprison the endb, bind attacks are useful.

Problems...

Developing the tech can be handled off screen and with voting.
Finding parahumans with such powers is trickier. Many Parahumans might not cooperate with us, and some useful powers aren't immediately obvious.

Hurt The Enemy

Hit the enbringers with buster attacks, or find parahumans with very potent offense, like Foil or Damsel of Distress.

What we need to do...

Train more mages to have buster attacks.
Make efforts to find parahumans with potent offense.

Why this is useful...

Hitting the endbringer core is one way to defeat them. How do you expect to do that without any firepower?

Problems...

Training mages is no problem. Finding someone with a high level Linker Core? More problematic, although templates will solve that. Getting someone willing to fight the endbringers might be more difficult.
Most Parahumans don't attend endbringer fights, and people with extreme offense are very rare.

Negotiate-ask cassiel

We don't know if this is viable. All we can do now is ask Cassiel if the endbringers can be negotiated with.

In Summary

With tinkers...

Start building superweapons, like the nanite cannon.
Start building things that stop/trap endbringers.

With other Parahumans...

Start a recruitment drive for parahumans to join the endbringer fight in general, but look especially for capes that can slow down or hurt endbringers.
Hell, even if such Parahumans don't want to join the fights, tinkers can still study their powers for inspiration.

With aliens...

We will need to coordinate with the aliens if we are to implement Twist em Up.

With mages...

Recruit and train mages to get the teleportation down.
Train mages to use buster attacks.
Really, just get more mages to attend endbringer fights. We need warm bodies.

With Cassiel...

Talk and see if negotiations are possible. Not likely to work, but we lose nothing from asking.

Edit: This is going to be my last summary of enbringer strategies. I want to discuss these more with you guys, but damn is it hard to type all this out.

Inserted tally
Given that Singularity is on top, I will write a training omake for it in a few weeks. I want to be able to use it right out of the gate.

Until Silently closes the tally, I can still hold out hope. Come on Gryffindor's! Vote for the emblem for your house! Vote to endure the most powerful of attacks! Vote to reach Alexandria-levels of defence! We just need three votes!
Its been a few days. We might get 2-3 more voters, but not likely at this point.

Lion Pelt can't handle going melee with Endbringer.

Taylor would 'die', if she tries.
