Maybe change Lacy's GB to a (albino?) Lightning Squirrel instead*.

*Had to look their Pokemon Go locations up, apparently they only show up in Russia, northern Canada, and Alaska??? :(

Sure. It won't make much of a difference mechanically, but you can give Lacey a randomly mutated gerbil.

... Okay, Missy is getting Zeus for her Guardian Beast. We need to make a note of this, nothing can be permitted to take that gerbil from her. Even if it means she can't get the random GB bonuses.

I do not envy this anywhere near as much as flight, telekinesis, etc. That does not mean that I wish I had this feature any less in general. I just want the other more. Getting all of it? Bonus :) Seriously, those robocalls have long since outstripped telemarketers as the most annoying things on telephones, as you can't even yell at the person bothering you.

"What? No. This." He motions to his shiny costume that you now realize must be made from Tim's special metalweave fabric. "All I wanted was something that looks appropriately cape-ish and provides some protection in case I got stabbed or shot. You know, like happened tonight."

"You're a cape now?" Knowing what kinds of horrors people have to go through to Trigger, you cannot help but feel sympathy for him. You know he was not a cape when the Privateers broke up, which means something awful must have happened after.

"Um…" He looks away from you. "I won't go and claim I'm a parahuman or anything."

Aww, I was hoping it was a new person so we'd get two rolls for a LC. Still, this gives us another contact in character to give that final template to, once we social him up a bit. We just need to be careful how fast we give him power, as there is a very real in character suspicion of his every motive

Before we give him anything, we need to agree to keep him part of the main story group. The Privateers imploded after Danny got hurt because we didn't keep them together by stepping into Danny's shoes.

SW has stated on several occasions that the only random chart for mutations is the one for linker cores, to give a balance to how powerful that is.

Would really like to hear from more of the 30 some people why they are so set on a /random/ bag of bonus stats for a character we already dropped once for being uninteresting, rather than one designed to fit her. At least as far as being Tome instead of Rifle (because what is she actually going to do with that?? Even if it fits her personality more than Sword).

The specifics of what I picked I gave a reason for, but more important really was that /something/ was designed instead of just squeezing out more raw power on someone who doesn't even need it. (Whereas say Samantha is fighting Endbringers, she needed every drop).

So the rankings turned out to match my ideal scenario. Neat. I'm just gonna hope that by the end of the quest my prediction proves true and we're using all three to discuss our magic business. Because I really want to see all three names get some usage.

I am voting for random because we've been ignoring her. We'll most likely continue to ignore her, so wether the GB fits her won't matter. At all. Instead I want to know what unique skills will appear.

So should Zeus be Missy's Shield GB? It'd work well with whatever buff spells Missy learns.

And Laura get a Rifle GB? For ranged support.

Think we already decided on Gear for Kayleigh. Maybe she should get Ralph?

Kayleigh can only get a Gear, but we haven't decided if she'll have one or not.

Her costume has not been revealed. As for the character's appearance.... I'm an uncertain if her appearance was ever remarked upon in any detail, as it tends to fade into the background compared to her personality.
 
Honestly, I think Kayleigh shouldn't get a Guardian Beast. She's a D-Ranker, so she'll only be able to get the basic Gear Beast, and we've already got two of those. Maybe if she was a C-Rank or higher so she could potentially get a neat bonus skill for her Beast, I'd consider it, but she's got a maximum of 6 spells, so using one of them for another Guardian Beast of the Gear seems like a waste.

That depends. Are you planning for Missy to learn Boost buffs to give to other people, or self-buffs that only affect her?

I… don't know if I ever have described her, now that I think about it. Maybe it's in part because her personality is the more important aspect. I was picturing her as a blue-eyed blonde white girl. Nothing super special.

Hmm...so is there a difference between Strike Boost and some self-targeting melee enhancement spell beyond just the potential targets? I mean, would the melee enhancement spell provide a bigger boost than Strike Boost would as a trade-off for the caster only being able to use it on themselves? Or is the only real difference between the two that Strike Boost can be used on people other than the caster?
