Missy wants to fight and make a difference, I don't imagine she's that attached to the idea of doing so as the Terminator. I rather think that's something the thread has projected onto her :p

Missy gotta go fast. Moreover, I doubt she would enjoy being held at the backline to be a dedicated summoner.

As @ChaoticSky and others mentioned and I was going to before seeing that they did, while Missy would prefer to get her hands dirty and we'd prefer to protect her as a back-row Summoner, this is a good compromise.

She'll have speed, greater defenses then she's used to, and all the back-up she'll ever need with summons and a guardian eventually. Plus her arm has a directional shield too.
The absolute best defense is not being hit in the first place.
And i'm fairly certain Laura will be getting an Armed Device.
No one wants to give up summons because they are useful and unique.

'Speed is armor' has never actually been true, regardless of what the French Navy would have had you believe.

And swarm summons are still versatile, just with less direct offensive power.

I admit, I just generally don't care for summon-focused playstyles in... well... Anything... So I would rather the summoning power be a secondary thing rather than her primary.

I see the "Full Naruto" option as being more along the lines of taking attacks of opportunity rather than staying up at the front lines throughout the fight. She'd be having her summons do battle likely alongside her tankier allies who will possibly have WAS up to feed the team info and extend situational awareness, which will provide her with the knowledge and distractions she needs to dance into and out of melee with some degree of safety. I also expect that she will have the good judgement developed through training and experience as a hit-and-run fighter with her previous powerset to not to take obviously bad melee fights such as going into close quarters with an Endbringer. The additions of speed (and perhaps good melee spells and weapons) would give her options in city or street-level encounters that she currently lacks, and if nothing else she can fall back on her particle cannon to take potshots at mid-range either while waiting for an opening or just to keep up the pressure while avoiding getting to close to a bad melee matchup.

Speed is a form of defence, and even with just a Hazard Jacket she'll be more protected than she was before. I personally want invisibility to add to that, but honestly, that statement was kind of rude.

I think being zippy fits Missy's character and desire to be part of the fun. It's a Boost Device so in the event we want to fight kaiju with kaiju (and we will) that option's still open. As for the relative weakness of her defenses a) it's still way better than the squishy she was, b) I think the ability to burn a spell slot for a jacket swap is still open. (@Silently Watches c/d?) So, y'know, we can take that in the initial build or take it as soon as her XP clears a new slot if we're feeling cautious.

This option is still available, but it is only possible on the initial build. At least if you're voting Full Naruto. Summoner could conceivably buy the Jacket switching mod later on, but it wouldn't be the free and permanent version Full Naruto has.

Let's go full Ninja. As much as I wanna see Summon stuff, I'd say this allows Missy to do what she wants to IC.

Definitely fits Missy's personality, Speed + Blitz Action = Bullet time, and Summoning is Awesome and deserves to have the full spectrum accessible.
