Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

If Kayleigh gets some form of air-maneuvering harness, then it might make sense to push a celestial / sky / weather theme for the team name. Particularly one that emphasizes our overwhelming firepower and mobility. Some possibilities off the top of my head:
  • Eclipse (Squadron?)
  • Landfall
  • Meteor Squadron
  • The Shooting Stars
  • Skyfall Squadron
  • Starfall Squadron
  • Stormbreak(ers) (Squadron)
  • Stormbringer(s) (Squadron)
  • Supernova Squadron
  • Typhoon Squadron
Could also go for the Calamity Witch themes:
  • The Calamitous Coalition
  • The Cataclysm Coalition
  • The Catastrophe Coalition
  • The Flight of Misfortune
  • The Omens

Missy needs the ability to summon unicorns. Her reaction will be hilarious!

Also... I'm not sure what would be a good name...
"The Calamity Breakers"?
"Wand-Waving Wackjobs"?
"The Sparkly Cauldron Of Hope"?
"The Storm Riders"?

To keep with the witch theme someone had...
Brewmeisters? The Increasingly Misnamed Witches Three? "Maiden, Maiden & Maiden"?
Personally I'm partial to Satan's Brides, just to see if we can make Glenn Chambers literally explode from half a city and a team barrier away.

Now, now. There's a perfect name for the Team

The Dark Coven of Galeta.

Duh. PS would *insist*

IAE's desire on the other hand is "The Dark COURT of Galeta." Who's Sovereign again?

for the team name: The Last Word.
We are assembling power on par with the Triumvirate before Eidolon lost his after all.

@Silently Watches how much would a Flight Harness/system for Kaleigh cost? IIRC her D-Rank linker core does not come with flight after all. And she'd be the only one of the team to lack that mobility.

"Color coordination," you repeat numbly. "That's your primary concern?"
Hey, it's important!
But of course a girl who didn't bother to design her Barrier Jacket or invent her name and just took what she was given won't understand it.

"Hey, Taylor? Remember what I said a while back, about how this group needs a team name?
Cauldron continues to be the best variant, it fits with our aesthetics and with what we're actually doing. And the look on Alexandria's face will be priceless. :D

Ragnarok, the Kingdom of Darkness, Eternal Night or something else suitably dark and edgy to please IAE and ruin our PR forever.

Friendbringers is a suitable name considering we're propagating Guardian Beast spell, have a Summoner and turned one of the Endbringers into friend.

The Magical Aesthetic Guarantees the Earth's Safety (MAGES).
The Magically Enhanced Group for Universal Casting Abilities (MEGUCA).

:V :V :V

Basically, your statement is what made me remember it exists. Basically the interchangeable barrels would alter normal energy rounds into various other modes such as a sniper, grenade launcher, shotgun, and stun gun. Best part is that it's an alternate version of a pistol, which when you compare the designs you can see that the handgun fits inside the rifle's housing.

Star Wars has made its mistakes, but it has never failed to make cool weapons and gadgets for its heroes to use.

Hm... Its really hard coming up with a name for our group. I'm going to throw some more potential names into the hat for consideration

  • Aurora Guard/Squadron/Protectors
  • Dawnbringers
  • Calamity Guard
  • Dawn Association
  • Deniers of the End
  • Preservers
  • Dawn Rangers

are we not already Kayleigh's Shipping Triangle (A.K.A. Can We Not Breathe the Same Air Without You Sniggering?)

@Silently Watches any chance of a interlude showing the view of others about stuff like the Gray Boy bubbles being popped? That has to be big news given that no one has ever done it before. And we've already read that there were capes (hero or otherwise) stuck in the bubbles. On that topic, roughly how many actions would it take to pop all the Gray Boy bubbles?

Also, when its formally established, and known will people view 'insert name of Calamity Witch group here' as being a extension of Dragontech due to Dragon being a member and prevalence of 'tinkertech' or actually believe the truth that Dragon is not the full leader of the team?

"Crossmatching with known Rare Skill mana structures… Two similar Rare Skills found. 81% match to Summoner Rare Skill belonging to Infinite Enhancement template. 57% match to Toad Summoner Rare Skill. All other Rare Skills less than 30% match. Deduction: Missy descendent of summoner line unknown to Galean Empire."
Does Missy summon Friends? (AKA 8 foot tall panther like murderfloofs with poisonous claws, bone crushing bite, capable of launching tail spikes like a porcupine with pinpoint accuracy, and armor like fur capable of tanking small arms fire)

1 slot. It's on Tim's list.

Maybe. I haven't figured out what the .x interlude will be, so it might be a flashback to that. As for time, it takes another 14 build slots to pop all the bubbles. There were 48 in total, and you've popped 6 so far.

I was planning on not giving any hints about Missy's summons until you summon them, but I can categorically confirm that this is NOT it.

We already have a hint from the chapter! The summons are more like Squirrels (and associated creatures, whatever they are) than Toads!
It's, ah, a pretty terrible hint as figuring it out goes. But still a hint.

I predict mammals of some sort.

I almost completely support this. The 'almost' is largely because, in character, I would want to know what I could summon before committing toa summon heavy build. On the other hand, in character, where this isn't just a game with all the oddities that go with that, she'd be able to try out all sorts of options as she wouldn't be limited by the need to keep the game balanced.

So, at this point, I'm thinking

[] Advanced Device for Missy
[] Advanced Device for Laura
[] Gun press for Kayleigh
[] Flight harness for Kayleigh

Somebody else may have posted the same, but with the vote being closed still, it isn't as easily searchable right now. These together let the characters get started on training before we involve them in our more... intense activities.

I wonder if the toad summoner on record is named Jiraiya or Naruto.

This is what I would like to build.
The devices and the bullet press are a must.
The flight harness for Kayleigh is so she isn't the only one left unable to fly.

[] Plan Flight and Guns
-[] Build advanced Device for Missy (2 slots, 1 tech point)
-[] Build advanced Device for Laura (2 slots, 1 tech point)
-[] Build elemental bullet press and guns for Kayleigh (1 slot, 1 tech point)
-[] Antigravity flight harness for Kayleigh. 1 slot.
-[] Unlock Large Weapons for Tim (7 Tech points spent)

@Silently Watches are we allowed to name the group: "Time-Space Administrative Bureau"?

You know as low-key revenge for the stabbing. Just create long term misunderstandings and general hilarity and groans.
If we do this, we better go for Space-Time Administration Bureau.
Then we have the STAB-Acronym.

Maybe some sort of word game on Guild to homage Dragon's other association?

Big fan of upgrading the lowest mobility in the party. Having one person who can fly when everyone else can't is a great scouting boost, having one person who can't fly when everyone else can means a horrible limitation to mobility. Also with all the gang fliers in Philly being taken out by the PRT it'd significantly reduce the number of threats to Kayleigh since we're building her spell list as a close to mid range combatant.

What about poison arrow tree frogs, they are like toads mixed with squirrels! Sort of.
