Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

Next step of the Metahammer would be to build a Mist Shrike list and play test them to find and comment on it's strengths and weaknesses.

Yep we already have a few ideas:
-Contemptor Dreadnaughts are expensive point wise due to their high Lucidity drain
-Elite scouts have the chance the assassinate notables
-Nowjilki are just budget Blood claws
-Do not get on Karark Zels bad side
-Logos gives bonuses when fighting Orks

while also having them be Blue Slavic Salamanders who do everything they can for the common Imperials
i don't think the average mist shriek is THAT fond of the common imperial, they are not assholes, and they treat their serfs whit dignity, but over all they are very aisolationist, so i don't think kindness would come naturally to them.

imagine a city is in the middle of a fammine, while the salamarders are all like "sure little one, you can have some of our rations" the mist shriks would be like "we manage to "pesuade" the next city's governor to sent food, it's not like he'll be eating anyway"

Probably a lot of messages either loving the Mist Shrikes because the veteran Scouts got a crucial assassination on an enemy champion, and a ton of salt because their Champion, or commander got assassinated by An enemy player's veteran scouts

Honestly at this point? I wanna see if we can level buff Serverus to the point that he can 1v1 Abbadon and win. The dude's juiced up an all the chaos god energies like his dad, and was strong enough to kill his clone dad. He might not be as strong as Chaos Horus, but he's probably really close, so Serverus will likely need 10 in all stats at the minimum, maybe get a breakthrough by bringing some stats past ten without counting equipment.

Hmmm. Do you guys know if late bloomer psykers can occur? Like Serverus becoming a psyker, or getting Conrad's future sight powers? It'd be pretty dope if we could combine foresight in combat to predict when and where someone attacks.

*srnk* It's funny 'cause it's true.

First book will be a short story anthology where they go over various campaigns from the first several turns to flesh out the characters and introduce the founders, second book is more short stories to flesh out Luctus as a whole, the assorted omakes, and driving home the Inquisition and Deathwatch ties. Then two books, one each for the Lezo and Yerma campaigns.
The most meme book would probably be the Founder first training of the new chapter and how inexperienced everyone is with the Nowalijiki later probably taking the place as meme incompetent marines.

I don't think that's possible the Prophet thing could occur I guess but that would just put Severus either on a timer, or in a Dreadnaught, either way the problem isn't beating Abbadon it's been done before by other Marines the problem is that Chaos Cheats. Sigismund had Abbadon dead to rights before.

ThunderOwl already said that every mist shrike is on a timer there is a time where they can develop the prophet trait but after a certain age they wont be able to gain the prophet trait. And he has guaranteed that all of the founders have already passed that deadline

Oh must have missed that part makes sense

I mean by Space Marine standards even our Veterans are young

So, Khornate sister of Battle leading the mortal forces of a World Eater Warband? Me likey. I do consider that the Butcher Nails are woefully underutilized by World Eater Warbands. Canonized as a Potential Foe.

Once again good sir, thou has delivered some top quality stuff. I really enjoy how accurate the posters discussion is, with its conjectures, complains, hype and reactions. It really captures flawlessly the tone of a forum discussion. Non-canon, but you can choose between a bonus on one of Valzadai's research rolls of your choice or asking me a PM question about something you might be curious about.
@ThunderOwl omakes for you
While I appreciate the intent, It isn't necessary to warn me whenever someone posts an Omake. Sometimes I need some time to either think the reward or just can't reply at the moment.
I'm just imagining ThunderOwl sitting upon a throne of omakes and demanding the peasants bring him more content.
Snorts omakes the moment they are posted. "THAT'S THE STUFF BABY!! GIVE ME MOOOORE!!"
Sev will break the back of Abbadon himself after 40000 thousand omakes having all stats at 50.
I did make a character sheet for Abbadon once for the lolz. And it is befitting of the Warmaster of Chaos. He mulches current Severus so hard is not even funny.

"On the contrary friend, I am armed appropriately for the occasion." He opens his left fist, revealing an eating knife he must have picked from the table.
speaking of fandom memes, this is the second time a mist shirek has killed a noble whit a table knife.

We've been slowly fixing the gene flaw. Originally it was a 1d10 turns before you die, and now it's 1d10+2. I was thinking, maybe we can work this to our favor by extending the prophet marine's life span as long as possible so it's something like 2d10+5 before we turn them into dreadnaughts. Because even if they don't keep the Prophet trait as a metal box, 2d10+5 number of decades is A LOT of timer to accumulate EXP for Weapons and Ballistics skills. Things Dreadnaughts use.
Or better yet, we fix the prophet gene flaw so that they don't die when they get it. That'd be great. Shame we haven't had another prophet in a while.

ThunderOwl also said that we will not be able to get rid of the gene flaw. we will only be able to extend the marines life span

I guess I'll give a bonus to Marrow Eaters research

Honestly the best we can do for them, extending their life span as far as we possibly can. The silver lining? The Prophet trait will augment them slightly we they might survive up to their expiration date, or be close enough to our forced to be put in a cooler and boxed.
Another plus? We should probably invest in more Contemptor dreadnoughts and expanding the forges to accommodate them. More long lived prophets mean really fucking good squads of dreaders.

@ThunderOwl yooooo. What's the max life span we can research for prophets? 2d10? 3d10?

edit:
I guess I'll give a bonus to Marrow Eaters research
What are marrow eaters? would they be useful? Can we tame them? Use them as war beasts or additional crafting materials if we farmed them?
