Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

The thing about blood Angels cannibalism is that they have an overactive Omophagea as part of their gene seed trait which mean they benefits a lot more from eating people unlike others gene lines.

Mhm i can see the benefit butttttt canniblistic traditions are often more trouble then they are worth

Every astartes chapter with those get a side eye and a wide berth with the Inquisitors frothing at the mouth to declare Traitoris so huh
Unless you are a blood angel, they get away with a lot of shit thanks to being a not legion when it comes to their dark secrets, nobody wants to piss off a entire geneline by poking where they shouldn't.

Then you have the Libators who openly sacrifice enemies to drinks their blood or the Mortifactors who have cannibalism as a major aspect of their culture.

Both Ultramarines Successors btw.

Stop: Violation of Rule Three: Be Civil New
Mate that is just desinformatie at this point

In the medieva history of Kievan Rus and early poland, a druzhina, drużyna, or družyna (Slovak and Czech: družina; Polish: drużyna; Russian: дружина, : druzhina; Ukrainian: дружи́на, druzhýna literally a "fellowship") was a retinue in service of a Slavic chieftain , also called Knyaz . The name is derived from the Slavic word drug with the meaning of "companion, friend".

Druzhina - Wikipedia

Just stop with the bloody lying already and i dont care if you are Ukrainian because you cant use that as a shield for this shit
violation of rule three: be civil
Putting the uncivil part of your post in black text doesn't make it more civil. @Fenrir44 has been issued a 25 point infraction and three day threadban for violating Rule Three: Be Civil.

Guess I may as well ask while we're at it.
[X] Plan: Justice is Our Calling
I'd vote for this if it just includes the modification to Image of Terror so it keeps to our look better.
-[X] Fluff Tradition - Image of Terror
--[X] Mist Shrikes who wish to decorate their armors are not allowed to break the Chapter's visual cohesion. Customizations may not obstruct heraldry or overly disrupt the colors, and extensive changes which are applied over multiple parts of the armor or which take up much space on the torso require approval from a Chaplain and one's Captain.
I think Men of the Wilds is more appropriate to our Chapter so I still like that more than Feast of Talons but I can't argue against the mechanical benefit of auto-generating Notables at random. Unless it's super bad odds I guess.

@ThunderOwl Out of curiosity, what are the chances of a new Notable from Feast of Talons each turn? 20%? 10%? 5%?

  • [X] Plan: Justice is Our Calling
-[X] Judge, Jury, Executioner: Laws can be written, re-written, erased, and ignored by the highest of kings and the lowest of scum, but Justice does not care for words written, nor for words spoken. It cares only what one has done, and nothing more. (Brothers of the Chapter are encouraged and lauded for fighting for a just cause beyond the call of duty, be it defending a refugee camp, fighting in coordination with the Guard, or holding members of planetary governments (discreetly) accountable for their crimes.)
-[X] Court of Night: With the passing of time, the Night of Fright has given rise to performances by the marines of the chapter, ones not so discreetly encouraged by Catalina. These performances are theatrical in nature, plays of both comedy and tragedy, though they are heavily influenced by the fantastical and monstrous of Luctusian fairy tales. Another common aspect to these plays is their tendency to lean on "mystery" (murder mysteries, investigations, etc.). These plays are not exclusive to the Night of Fright, and feature heavily in whatever other celebrations the Mist Shrikes partake in.
-[X] The Feast of Talons: on the first day of the new Luctusian year, a tournament of war games will be held. The first day will feature a competition where squads of the chapter will face each over in non-lethal combat throughout the Fortress Monastery. The second day will feature a series of duels, where the winner will being awarded with a badge of honor, marking him as a winner of the competition. The final day will be a day of feasting and reverly, where the chapter may relax and simply enjoy the company of their brothers. (Mechanical)
    [X] Plan: become old Slavic
    [X]Plan cultural revolution:
    -[X] newcompany names
--[X] 2nd Company - Prazninu Prekidači (void breakers, serbian latin)
--[X] 3rd Company - Vorp Bejne (Warp banes in serbian latin)
--[X] 10th Company - Nostra Najbolji (our best, mix of latin and serbian latin)
    -[X] Name changes for rankings
--[X] Honor Guard: Druћina ( fellowship in serbian latin)
    --[X] Librarians: Mudrec
    --[X] Chaplains: Volkhv
    --[X] Captains: boyar
    --[X] luitenant: Starshyna
    --[X] sergeant: Bogatyr
    --[X] Chapter Master: Czar
    -[X] Fortress monestary name:
--[X] Morskoygrad (Marine castle in russian)
    -[X]Traditions:
--[X] fluff; Vault of Blades: Together with the regular design of Power Sword, minor tweaking of the design to incorporate special variants of blades will be added as options. In particular, Luctusian sabers and falchions (of which there are many different sorts), Braicaman hand-and-half swords, and blade designs from friends of the Chapter will be included. Swordsmanship that exploits the unique characteristics of each blade are encouraged, as is seeking out new blade designs and sword styles to add to the Vault.
--[X]fluff; honor badge sharpshooter's charm: Thanks to one rouge trader Caerbannog Rabbits are not rare around luctus and are a known problem. So in the early days of the chapter, the chapter master decided to kill two birds with one stone. Thus, instead of getting the marksmen's honor of hanging the bolt shell of the Primarch, those that have good marksmen ship get a rabbit's foot with the metal part being made of platinum (or gold if the marine wants) and studded with gems.
    --[X] fluff; Honor badge wings of valor: In a small divergence from the Codex, the Wings of Valor shall replace the Laurels of Victory. Golden wings of valor are given to those who did a great feat that helped a campaign reach victory (Example: Konstyantyn saving the cardinal, Mikhail saving the Admiral). Platinum wings are just like the laurels, given to those who secured victory for the campaign at large (Example: Spatha killing the Genestealer), and are placed onto the side of the helmet and point behind the space marine (think of the wings of hermes's helmet). The Marine in question may choose whether they have full formal wings, or an insignia that is stamped onto the armor. The wings consist of the following elements;
--[X]fluff; Customized gauntlets: Opposite of the bloody red hands of the days of the VIII Legion, thanks to efforts of the nostromans veterans have been decorating their gauntlets, and some with the help of the tech marines, had their gauntlets engraved. Seeing this Severus mandated that all veterans (with the optional exception of specialists) would have to have their gauntlets engraved and customized, and like their armor, their gauntlets could be customized however they wanted. The only mandated part is that two symbols be on the tops of the gauntlet's hands, The left gauntlet (the shooting hand) must have the symbol of the marine's homeworld (a Luctus animal or a Braicamian noble crest for example) or the company's symbol. In contrast, the right (or sword hand) must have the symbol of the chapter.
--[X] fluff; insults to the damned: It started with the serfs with them carving insults into their auto weapon bullets, the marines saw this and thought it would be a good way to demoralize their enemies with righteous insults. For example, one marine had a clip of insult-laden ammo saved for some thousand suns, some of these insults include "how's Prospero doing?" and "Prepare to become more like your primarch.".
--[X] fluff; Stone Gardens: In their free time, Battle Brothers are invited to make stone statues, carvings, and other artwork in areas of the Monastery where it will not interfere with defense or other functions. Subject to appropriate approval, much is allowed - traditional gargoyles and Imperial iconography, Luctusian animals and landscapes, Braicaman paintings and statues - so on and so forth. Serfs are also invited to participate alongside the Battle Brothers. In particular, the Halls of Remembrance will have artwork recording the campaigns and acts of the Mist Shrikes to enhance the displays. All this work in the Halls will lead to a grand display (think Sistine Chapel, Taj Mahal, Lake Bled, so forth) of the Chapter as a whole in action.
--[X] fluff; Shrike Wings: On Jump Packs, Bikes, and Attack Bikes (and Jetbikes if those ever become available), custom mountings for "wings" of metal slats, Sadist Shrike feathers, and appropriately noisy other bits of Luctusian fauna will be incorporated where desired. The wings themselves will be designed to shriek and howl, inspiring terror.
--[X]Mechanical; champion capes: Due to the gripes of the master of the forge one of the champions decided to create a cape that had all the names of notable foes he has defeated. Seeing an opportunity to cut down on work Karak Zel decided to design two types of capes, the first was a more ceremonial cape, it has the symbol of the chapter and in golden writing the names of all those who came before. For example, DuPont's ceremonial cape has his name and Spatha's name. The second is that of the cape of felled foes, like the ceremonial cape this also has names on it, however, not only does it miss the chapter's logo on the cape, but it has all the names of notable enemies that the champion has felled. The idea is that if the other marines see the cape their spirits would life as this is a man who slayed enemies aplenty, while those same enemies would dread facing down someone who ate their best like breakfast.
[X] Plan The Most Dangerous Game
-[X] Mechanic - The Feast of Talons
--[X] At the first day of the new Luctusian year, a three-part tournament and feast will be held. The first part will have the the Chapter battle brothers divided into randomized squad-sized groups and dispersed across the whole Fortress-Monastery, where each will have the objective of incapacitating every Marine not belonging to their own squad. At the same time members of Chapter and Company Command will act individually to also incapacitate all Marines they can. The second part will use the Strategium for the aforementioned random squads to wargame against each other. The third part will be a tournament in the manner of the Champion selection. Where the winner will get a Talon Champion medal with a personalized sword emblem behind the Shrike which will have tallies added to it for each successive victory, as well as the option of collaborating with a Techpriest to add ornamentation to their preferred weapon. At the end a grand feast will be held to celebrate and allow the brothers to bond over their performances.
-[X] Fluff - A Name Worth Fighting For
--[X] Each Company, upon earning a mechanically significant Trait, will be given a name/title that honors that trait, the option to add to the Company Heraldry and/or the Company Banner (pending approval from the Chapter Master and Master of Sanctity) and will open up possible actions in the appropriate Turn Planning phase to train other Companies in that Trait via appropriate dice roll. No duplicate names or heraldry.
-[X] Name Companies that already qualify for the Name Tradition
    --[X] 2nd Company - Storm Breakers (Counter-Boarders)
--[X] 3rd Company - The Warpspite Brotherhood (Armor of Contempt)
    --[X] 10th Company - The Blackfires (Saboteurs)
-[X] Fluff - Return to Sender
--[X] If desired, Mist Shrikes who complete their training and become Battle Brothers may once per year send letters to the families they left behind and receive letters in turn, subject to appropriate scrutiny and censoring.
-[X] Fluff - Comedy and Drama
--[X] At this point, the tradition of the Mist Shrikes as detectives and agents of the law is well known. Taking a suggestion from Catalina, the Shrikes and serfs will start making plays (A/N: in the fashion of American Noir films and books, and/or the nearest equivalent from East European fiction - sorry don't know much about that) out of famous cases (subject to scrutiny and censoring, as appropriate). Each story will be written and told one of two ways - the first as a serious drama, the second as a comedy. Variations accounting for different cultural tastes, such as Terran classics and Braicaman epics, will also be encouraged as will truthfulness within the bounds of sensibility.
-[X] Fluff - From The Imperium with Contempt
--[X] Those who feel so inclined may stencil/engrave mockery and insults onto solid ammunition, that the enemies of the Imperium know their folly in full as they die. Creativity is encouraged.
[X] Plan Have Some Aesthetic Consistency
    -[X] Renaming
---[X] 10th Company Sharpshooters: Strelci for plural and Strelec as singular (Marksmen)
---[X] 10th Company Vanguards: Kandze for plural and Kandza as singular (Talons)
-[X] Mechanical Tradition - Men of the Wilds
--[X] Whilst on their homeworld, the Mist Shrikes will frequently descend from their Fortress-Monastery in small groups to hone their skills against the ferocious wildlife of Luctus that preys upon their subjects. Over mountains, through caves, under marshes, across frozen tundras, among the trees, and in every place where these environments meet, they will pursue and slay their homeworld's greatest beasts, not only to test themselves and return with trophies and food for feasting, but also to protect the Luctusian people.

-[X] luctusian blades: together with the regular design for the powersword the chapter takes inspiration from the people of luctus with there many different types of curved swords and this chapter makes use of these designs for their own weaponry.
-[X] Stone Gardens: like with the personal custom nature of the armor. The battle brothers in there free time work to express and destress. By making stone Carvings reliefs and statues in great Galleries ceilings and Halls. These works of art range from a vast variety macabre of choice chief amongst them. Gargoyles gotic skulls Imperial Aquilas Shroudwolfs sadist shrikes Mist deers ravens crows bats and any other Luctusian animal that is Striking the fancy to the marine in question. But most important of these halls are the halls of remembrance. Where under the watchfull eye of the Chaplains to prefend any harmful imagery. The Battles and wars the shrikes took part in as a chapter or in separate Company/Squads. Are depicted in full detail. At the end a grand feast will be held to celebate and discuse between brothers there performance and deeds. And deeper there bonds in the talon feasts.

I like the fluff which is making our jetpacks and bike-riders similar to the winged hussars aesthetic with a 40k twist. Also like the noir and detective stories being spread. Maybe we get a reputation for the positive kind of dread mixed with awe and adoration.

As a casual reader of this quest, could we not rename everything?

When I open at the latest update without having paid much attention to the discussion, I can easily understand what our Honor Guard or Librarians are, because I know the basic ranks and functions in 40k.

If I had to look up what [slavic word] is everytime I try to read a chapter it would definitely influence my enjoyment of the quest.

First of all, I'm not spreading disinformation. I acknowledged before in this tread that this term have same meaning as you posting. But. It's doesn't mean that it couldn't have another. Main world in Ukraine for wife is "Druzhina" . I'm not doing any conspiracy against you. This world is just bad for your plan, because there will be question did honor guard really his wifes and Severus have harem.
Again, part of your renaming haven't any sens, like Volkhv, Sotnyk or Boyar for example.
Quick warning but it generally considered bad thread manners to reply to someone that currently ban as they can't respond.
