Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

Playing as loyalist Night Lords has been pretty successful so far and there have been a lot of funny moments that are so very Night Lords. The joke-telling and camaraderie in the drop pods, the ambushing of the Eldar, the lack of stereotypical obsessions with honor and pride, the crazy medicae, and the stalking of mortals just to name some.

Whole chapter of Astartes with a ritual of always wearing masks and covering their identity, most have no idea why this custom began, merely that the honoured founders told them it came from their parent chapter.
I remember reading about a fan made chapter of Luna wolve descent that have the tradition of melting their faces off and wearing masks

Question, how open is Mircio about his ambitions for captain? I'm trying to write up the perspective of my Braicamian OC during his deployment hunting the traitor regiments.

The three most interesting alternate backgrounds imo, especially the closeted Death Guard and how he would try to hide it

To me, most interesting "alternate" picks are:

Transhuman Chronicler of The Emperor's Children: Since he would effectively "write history anew" if he was picked (also, I feel that he would have best chance to "recruit" Rylanor)

Political Animal of The Iron Warriors: Poor guy would want his Chapter to be "average", only for it to be anything but

Zealous Preacher of The Word Bearers: Imagine his reaction to "Imperium's situation in 40k" be like "Next time Erebus proposes me a wine, I'm gonna refuse. I feel that he is gonna throw into it something worse than hallucinogens"

I'm imagining him looking at Lorgars treason and concluding "clearly my father lacked faith" then doubling down.

I asked about the personalities of the Liuetenants once (I don't know where the post is) but if I remember correctly Mircio keeps his opinions and ambitions to himself
His opinions yes, his ambitions less so. The common battle-brothers see him as an stern but dutiful officer that would like to be Captain, but they ignore how much he wants it and how acerbic he is.

@ThunderOwl quick question for the "Transhuman Chronicler" did he know Rylanor, or Severus? I had an idea for an omake.
Yes to both. He was good friends with Severus in fact. If you want more details, PM me.

He would have a 180° opinion change, from adoration to utter disdain and hatred.

I meant that he would double down on his faith in the Emperor and view his father with abject hatred due to his treason and heresy by the way. Not that he'd continue to like his father.
I think he would have a view similar to what the anchorite has, seeing the burning of monarchia as a test by the emporer one that his father and legion failed miserably

Personally, my 3 favorite alternate choices for chapter master would be the 'Frustrated Architect', 'Witness of the Decimation' and 'Warrior of Dusk'

I always liked Warrior of Dusk and I also liked the idea of the Reluctant doubter.

Btw, Do "other three Chapters in the Sector" (Two Loyalist and one Traitor) would be different for each Legion (in terms of "which 1st Founding Chapter they're Successors of?") or the same?
