Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

I can't wait to see how the Notables that survive the crucible of the campaigns to come will turn out, I'd also love to get Severus's personal combat skills a bit higher as sure it's not what we're specced into but I'd like our Chapter Master to be good enough that if a Greater Daemon shows up that we can hold our own by ourselves if we have to.

Also fun bit of Lore from the dates I can find as long as we can last about 200 years there's a chance that we'll run into Ciaphus Cain

What're you talking about? It's the Ciaphus Cain! He is the most respected hero of the Imperium! He would never lie.
Critical Perception success + critical Fellowship failure = "Cain, I know exactly what you're about, and I respect you."

If anyone can understand how impressive it is for someone to be so intimately familiar with fear and constantly manage to fight on in spite of it, it's a Great Crusade Era Astartes who's specialty is psychological warfare.

A Luctusian that proved himself during the recent Lezoan Campaign, while he might lack the experience of the other candidates, his remarkable intelligence is enough to compensate for that fact. (+Intelligence, Focused)

Loved this update. Glad that we used the favor to build some much needed orbitals. Also, we got some chaplain candidates finally. They were sorely needed. After all, it was just a few turns ago where we had a few of our Marines get corrupted. So don't want a repeat of that anytime soon.

By the way, @ThunderOwl I noticed that we didn't get any Master of the Watch report in turn 7 Action results. Is that intentional?

So since I haven't been able to find any information about it, are there any minor Xenos species near us besides the Tau and their allies? Because if there are then they could be potential crusade targets once we finish cleaning up our sector.

Even ignoring the moral reasons Severus wouldn't care about, I'd rather not waste time on minor species unless they actively attack human worlds. Focus on the actual problems.

What moral reasons? I mean, pretty much all space Marines hate Xenos because their Xenos. The Imperium regularly exterminates minor species simply because they exist on worlds with resources that rightfully belong to the Imperium. I'm not saying that we should prioritize them over other problems like the Dark Eldar or the Eye of the Mutator, but eventually our sector will calm down a bit and we can start sending out companies to help other sectors. Besides, I doubt we will be able to take on minor species that has more than a couple planets. But who knows, if the Imperium calls for a crusade against them than maybe we can shift a company or two their way to help out.

EDIT,
Sorry, I didn't see the "wouldn't care about" part. Just disregard the first sentence there.

Also, these "minor xenos" might seek (and in worst case, get) "protection" of T'au Empire, if attacked in "wrong moment"

I don't think it will, personally. As 999.M41 approaches, there's gonna be more enemies of humanity popping up everywhere at more or less the same time. If our sector manages to become less of a dumpster fire during such a period, it would be doing so against all the odds.

Oh without a doubt, as things get closer to 999.M41 things are going to get hot. However, that is still a couple hundred years before that becomes a problem. So as long as we focus our efforts on crushing our current problems and new threats don't start entering our sector every other turn in the interim, then we should have at least a few turns that we could send forces outside of our sector.

Here's what I could find after a cursory internet dive.

The Reek: The Worldweave of the Noisome Reek is on the Eastern Fringe and has(or will) invaded imperial and Tau worlds.
Saharduin: Shark people armed with bolters and power swords. Are in the Ultima Sermentum but never really said which part of it.
Morralian: act as mercenaries to everyone from the tau to the Alpha legion. I can't find where they are from but the fact that they work for tau means they're nearby
Vassalians, Cimmeriac and Donarathi: Minor xenos factions that ally with the Imperium to destroy Hive fleet Jormungandr in 995.M41. Only to all be wiped out by the Imperium five years later.
Barghesi: A extremely aggressive species of xenos confined to 14 solar systems in the Eastern Fringe known as the Grendl Stars. The Baraghesi have an entire space marine chapter the Iron Lords who's job it is to contain them until enough imperial forces can be rallied to crusade against them. They've been waiting for about three thoudand years now And I think it's still not resolved by M42. It's explicitly stated that the Inquisition does not want the tyranids to eat them.
Loxatl: Amphibious lizard xenos who have no known home world and mostly act as mercenaries for chaos.
Hrud: a species with weird time warping capabilities and plasma fusils that shoot plasma through the warp past their enemy's defenses.

Lexicanum has a list of most if not all of the mentioned minor xenos Category:Minor Alien Species and Factions - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Sadly most are just like a sentence or two of lore.

Also there's a lot even just the ones that are non hostile to humanity there's like 20. Over half of which were found after the great crusade.

Honestly Cultists and Orks are a much bigger concern or a hive fleet if/when one shows up close enough for us to assist. One minor xenos race (I don't know if they are close by) that is a good target would be the Rak'gol there certainly enough of a threat to at least warrant our attention if we truly have nothing else to do. They are even less technologically advance than orks since they use nuclear reactors which are barely contained and the radiation leaking from them kills normal humans
heres some more detail on lexicanum Rak'Gol - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Enslavers are a huge threat but don't show up often since they are warp creatures. But can show up at any place of high psychic activity. The lay eggs in psyker's (typically untrained ones) while being inside the warp and the eggs hatch violently in real space. As their name implies they have mind control powers but astartes seem to be immune.

Also here's a immage to a bunch of minor xenos races that actually have artwork (some official some not) and a brief few word description each.

(if I messed up the formatting please tell me and I'll try to fix it.)

The Rak'gol are up past the Calixis sector in the Koronus expanse. So yeah they're a long way off.

Sounds like our best targets would be either The reek, the Saharduin, or the Barghesi. Since their the ones that aren't either nomadic/scattered/under Tau protection or are about to be destroyed.
