'Dracula' is another type of word for 'Dracul' in Romanian-type of old transivalnia which means 'dragon' in English (if the translation is right), 'Dracula' is the bastardization of the word 'Draculae' which means 'son of the dragon' and was the title of Vlad II son.
Of course now it means 'the devil', which lt will make an appearance.

In the past they were lost, newly transformed vampires who banded together to simply survive the world. They were the children of the mighty ghoul king Ushoran, and they were a dying breed.
Shunned by both mortals and immortals, they had nowhere to go except the fallen kingdom of Strigos and even them not many make the travel to the badlands.
The world think that they are monsters who live with the simple impulse to kill, but that is not true sure the ones who attack are simply the ones who entered a frenzy for blood after not feeding for a long or retaliation against persecution.
They could be so much more but they never had the chance and never would have… or so they thought.
Emissaries of an vampire lord of the Von Carsteins had contacted them, at first they were cautious and demanded that the vampire lord should meet them first.
They did not know that he was already there hidden in the shadows, and they had never noticed him, he revealed himself and they talked and talked.
He did not hate them or saw them as abominations against the immortals, he accepted them and they would forever be grateful for that.

So they had left, of course Neferata could never take this blow to her pride and ordered her agents to kill all of them, she thinks they did but the truth is that a few members of their coven had sacrificed themselves so they could survive and allowed the agents of Neferata to kill them so they could survive.
It worked, and now they wandered aimlessly around the world, their coven was entirely made of vampire women who were either the original deserters of their bloodline or women who were transformed by them and carried their principles.
Then they met him, their beautiful and caring lord. To this day they do not know what had attracted them to him, maybe it was his charm or his caring nature towards them, they do not know why they followed him in the first place but the ones who know about their past are assured that his leadership is a vast improvement.
It definitely isn't because they like him romantically or anything like that.

As I understand it he's a god of death that's trying really hard to become one of undeath. When we kill and devour him (because theirs no way in the 9 hells he'll leave us alone once he learns of us) we'll be well on our way to grabbing that domain for ourselves.
