Quote of the day: Lives are the Emperor's currency. Spend them wisely.

Blood Dragons: One of the five so called bloodlines of the vampires. Arguably the most martial of the five. These vampires show a great fixation on war and combat. Fighting with ferocity to rival their bestial cousins yet holding martial pride and discipline of immense quality at the same time. Upholding their own twisted code of honor in combat.

These vampires eagerly take to the battlefield. Rather than wait out the conflict from the safety of their forces or strongholds. They are out and about reveling in the slaughter of their foes. At the same time they seem keen on dueling. Challenging champions to one on one clashes. No intervention from either side. They will universally hold to this rule. If their opponent violates it there will be hell to pay.

The primary power here is martial talent. Fighting skill comes fast and easily to them. Their minds easily grasping tactics and combat forms. Every weapon quickly becomes smoothly used in their hands. Their capacity to become more deadly is truly alarming. Often modifying their tools to better suit their preferred fighting style.

If at the expense of a reduced capacity for more complex sorcery. They can animate and command their forces along with fight with spells. More complex spell work though requires that they gather additional aid to pull it off. Unfortunately that weakness is easily overcome through one method or another. Whether through training on their part. The use of sophisticated hextech devices or talismans of some kind. Some simply don't place themselves anywhere it would be needed. Or more likely the one with the greatest results do something to please their dark master. Offering a sacrifice to the dark gods is a likely way to gain boons from it. Typically the souls of many mortal men or someone of great significance. Typically an Astartes or another elite in regards to the latter. Or the conquest of a planet.

A quirk of this branch of vampire are their feeding habits. Namely the lack of it in numerous older specimens. Further research discovered that there is a way for vampires to permanently overcome their thirst. By feeding on the blood of one of their god's favored beasts. Done so by besting them in single combat or earning their respect. No small task and many die in the process. Those that succeed though no longer have the weakness of the hunger to hinder them.

Though I have heard of them hunting other creatures for this purpose. All of them being highly dangerous. At the moment it is unconfirmed. Though sightings indicate frequent hunts on death worlds. Many enthusiastic hunters serving to cull their numbers.

Unlike most of their kind Blood Dragons rarely seem to truly settle down. Those few that do touch down on planets do so on fortress worlds. Otherwise on worlds that are likely to be attacked or have great conflict in their history. Beyond that their courts are largely nomadic. Settled upon the greater Undead ships in their fleets. Or aboard mobile space stations dragged along with them. Moving from one campaign against other powers to another. Always eager for the next battle to fight.

Huh didn't think the blood dragons would be accepted...probably restricted heavily on whether they beat them or not in sanctioned duels to not of the death probably...Dracul rather likes his children more than the blood dragons that's for sure.

Then there's calling dragons mere beasts...any elf that heard that would be walking VERY quickly away from that area while a few angry ass dragons decide to pay him a "visit"...and frankly i can see dragons in 40k ending up like stellaris super dragons requiring entire battle-fleets in order to drive off...not defeat...drive off.

By feeding on the blood of of one of their god's favored beasts.
Great work as always, but I feel like this should be modified. Instead of limiting to just Dragons, it should be expanding to great beasts. Such as:

By feeding on the blood of a Great Beast, Vampires of this bloodline are cured of their hunger. Not just any common abomination or monster suffices. The most "common," are those who aim for one of their God's "Children"; so called and named Dragons. More often than not, Blood Dragons go hunting for Killer Xeno Animals, and many a species has been culled by exuberant hunters. Either the Beasts are dangerous enough prey to count as a cure( and see themselves overhunted), or careless Blood Knights become frustrated when the Beasts are found lacking.

Dracul would kind of be irritated at the loss of knowledge on the species that the damn blood dragons would hunt to near extinction, and the berating would probably be an enhanced version of the curse, or even martial Powerses taking a blow for a good while...even having to retrain their abilities. Cause let's face it, a god of knowledge is smart enough to know to not fuck up the entire ecosystem of a world without a suitable replacement to put in to ensure the eco-logical system of a world is kept in balance.

unless said world is a fucking death/hell world. Then those fuckers can go nuts since they will most likely die very fucking quickly again and fucking again to the planet until they get booted off by an annoyed world spirit.

edited: one question, what would be the full size of a Dragon in 40k universe? the size of a small space hulk? A medium space hulk? Ect? do they even have a size limit now that there is a dragon-god running around?!?

The Blood Dragons are also…..Blood Knights. These people might hold themselves to chivalry and honor, but they're liable to yeet themselves into danger irregardless of what God or their comrades say. I'm fine with that, but we have to acknowledge their independent streak.

The Blood Tide - Next Steps III
ArtStation - Total War: Warhammer III - Khorne Army - Event illustration
The forces of Order have finally made their move, as the combined forces of Men, Dwarf and Elf march towards Praag, having already taken three different cities and promptly burned them all to the ground. But the forces of ruin have noticed what their aim is, and have been sending forces to stop or eliminate them, preferably the latter. But they were hard pressed to do so, as their Daemonical allies were in short supply, thanks to Wallachia destroying Zoishenk, which was the main Ritual City that provided the daemonical armies to the front-lines.

Of course, there are others, but they are all lesser in comparison, as the number of Daemons they summon is far less than even the most basic of batches that were once provided Zoishenk, to compensate for this, already new daemon armies are being summoned in the far north and making their way south. But they will take time to arrive in the front-lines of the conflict. And so with little options available to him, the leader of the Blood Tide agreed with the Chaos Dwarves to provide more slaves and gold so his forces could get in their hands their daemonical siege weapons and artillery. Or anything else the world's best daemon smiths could provide at a reasonable price.

And it did wonders, as his enemies' armies are now bogged down, fighting against his armies that have been reinforced with the new weapons provided by the Chaos Dwarves in bulk. But even then, orders and calls are already being sent to all roaming warbands of the conquered territories of Kislev to reunite in Praag for the most important battle of the conflict.

But he was not the only making moves as Magnus and the armies of The Empire of Man now march once more, this time heading towards the combined Human, Dwarf and Elf force that is heading towards Praag, for he to wishes to end this conflict already. His men are tired, and he can see the stress of war clouding their minds. And while Kislev has yet to reach Winter, but it was cold. In fact, it was colder than any winter the men of the Empire had ever felt or seen.

But even then they marched, their minds fueled with the courage brought forth by Magnus' fiery speeches, and the promise that after they took Praag and beheaded the chaos lord behind the Blood Tide, they could finally go home.

In the middle of all this where the forces of Wallachia who had waited a little while in the smoking ruins of the once great city of Zoishenk so that the Necromancers that had destroyed the ritual chain could recuperate, before they once more marched, this time heading towards...

The Army of Death
- Undead: 5,354,025 Skeleton Warriors; 3,522,614 Zombies; 13,710,705 Grave Guard; 16,326,673 Black Knights; 153 Undead Giants
- Magical Forces: 90 Necromancers

Locations (You can split your forces if you want to):
- [] Chamon Dharek: A holy ground dedicated to the chaos gods, it holds many artifacts of power through they all are tainted in some way or another, as a sacred ground of chaos it is highly defended by forces of all the chaos gods, be they mortal or otherwise, alongside any surprise that is hidden from normal or magical sight.
- [] Fort Ostrok: One of the primary set of forts that stand at the border between Kislev and the far north and Troll Country. It was amongst the first to fall to the forces of Chaos. The servants of Khorne here are varied, having not only the gods' human worshippers but also Chaos Trolls dedicated to Khorne.
- [] Laryn: An Industrial Hub before the arrival of the Blood Tide, the fall of the city has done little to change that, as Chaos Dwarves have changed it to suit both them and the Blood Tide needs for weapons and supplies.
- [] Yvegka: The next target of the Forces of Order, it is a chaos fortress outfitted with many daemon possesses artillery cannons, making it so that it will be difficult to get close without suffering heavy casualties.

Hey Alucard vampiry if we go after the dawi-zarr can we get benefits from the dawi for marking off major grudges?

D@$! I was hoping for at least a small favor but Beggars can be choosers
To be honest, if you helped them exterminate the Chaos Dwarves, you would gain a permanent alliance with them which would involve tech trade.
Do we at least know what is being made at laryn?
You don't know if they are building something special, but what you do know is that they are building weapons, armor, and artillery.

what would happen if we went for Chamon Dharek would it help the at Praag at all or no?
Not really, the situation on Praag is pretty much unchangeable at this point, even if you do take Chamon Dharek and burn everything down there.
What tech, like normal tech trade or stuff they don't usually trade like gyrocopters or other tech similar?
The latter as well as anything they keep only to themselves, such as how to properly smith Gromrill, which is basically Fantasy's version of adamantium.
