So the Ebon Dragon's Pantheon Charm is basically a Charm representing Erembour. Once Lelouch takes it and gets an adorable mini-Erembour as a daughter, how will he react given his massive crush?
Lelouch: "My Dark Lady, there's a matter of importance we must discuss."
Erembour: "Oh?"
Lelouch: *presents mini-Erembour soul* "This is Grace."
Grace: "Mama!" *hugs Erembour*
Erembour: "This... wha...?"
Lelouch: "You got me pregnant, and the child is clearly yours. Are you going to take responsibility for this?"
Erembour: "You must be joking!?"
Ebon Dragon: *looks down and sees what's happening* "Hmm... I do love a good marriage. On the other hand not taking responsibility would be the socially irresponsible thing to do... on the other hand it's a marriage. Meh, seems legit. Do it."
Erembour:
Grace: "Yay! Thanks, Grandpa!"
[X] Bring Kaguya with you
As if more Kaguya could ever be a bad thing
[X] Malfeas
So I've written an omake/opening piece for a new Green Sun Prince (kinda), but as it has been some time since I've written anything substantial (that wasn't a paper or something along those lines) so I'd appreciate it if you could critique it if you feel it worth your time.
Surrounded by Death, the Scourge is Chosen
There once was a foolish slave that thought it ruled over its rightful masters. This slave was not the warrior who was supposed to sear and scorch the other who were too small minded to be in proper awe of the genius that Creation was. Nor was it the shapeshifting trickster who set the Raksha up against one another, nor the quintet of seers who were supposed to maintain and manage the very system that their creators had left for them in their infinite generosity and magnanimity. This slave came to be long after the traitorous Incarnae and their ilk had instigated and concluded their rebellion against the true rulers of the universe, so ignoble and forgettable that the only reason he had a steady stream of quintessence and ambrosia flowing into his pockets was because he spent nearly all of it bribing his marginally betters for said paltry rewards.
So like the pathetic vermin that the so-called deity was, he emulated his predecessors and sought to subvert the loyal subjects of the Yozi for his own twisted, degenerate ends. Far away from his stolen mansion in Yu-Shan, the cretin wielded his magics and summoned one of the Yozi's heralds and agents. The worm, clad in orichalcum and silk and jade, desired an army with which he would smite his rivals from the shadows and an unimaginably large nest of spies which he could then use to sink his deformed and spindly claws even further into their pockets. The god desired the Teodozjia.
The plan was supposedly ingenious in its simplicity. The hive mind of the jade lions, their most feared and envied attribute, would be the vector through which he would send a subliminal attack, one that would make the demons of the first circle mistake him for their creator, their lord and master, something that he was most assuredly capable of as he was a minor god of recreational narcotics. A masterful plan, bound to succeed even beyond the god's paltry imagination if it had not been for one crucial element.
Teodozjia possess greater willpower within a single fang in their jaw than every single follower of the heretic combined.
Make no mistake, the Teodozjia didn't leave the site of the minor god's savage murder unscathed. Even as the worm was banished from existence and memory for a year and a day, the original attack had already rooted itself firmly in the demon's mind and soul, its feeble and hoarse whispers futily trying to change its allegiances to thrice-damned Sol Invictus.
For the entirety of the five day trek through Cecelyne did the poison of the soul test his loyalty and piety. For five days it nibbled at the demon's mind, yet could not even make a single other jade lion aware of its existence, so powerful and diligent was the afflicted demon.
The Demon City of Malfeas was a welcome sight to the first circle demon, who immediately sought out his progenitor, mighty Zsofika, may her hunts be blessed and bountiful.
Prostrating himself before her he begged her to destroy him, body and soul, for the spiritual blemish that the worm god had inflicted him with made him unworthy to act or speak in the Yozi's stead.
The Messenger Soul of Jacint disagreed and declared that he had gotten stronger from the ordeal, his vanquishing of the original spiritually poisonous charm of the god being proof enough of that. She proclaimed him fiercer, greater and filled with more piety to the Yozi than any other of his brethren and in honor of that bestowed him with a name.
Up until that point such a thing had been considered superfluous and meaningless for the jade lions, who were one as many, yet with their maker, the one who had meticulously crafted them from nothing saying so, there were none who even considered disputing the Kite Flute's decision.
It had been over a hundred fifty Calibrations since the Teodozjia graced with the name of Gyula came to be, a time in which he went above and beyond the call of duty to live up to Zsofika's proclamation of supremacy amongst the Teodozjias.
And now Gyula was dying.
He had been bestowed with a most noble and critical task by the Prince upon the Tower, mighty Jacint himself. Bearing the supermote that would reshape the Yozi's chosen in their own image, Gyula had sought out his champion of the Reclamation. Yet every potential Green Sun Prince that he had found had been found wanting, by dying before he could make the offer, by clearly being uncontrollable wretches that wouldn't further his masters plans one bit, by instead exalting as one of the lowly Terrestrial exalted, for Ligier's sake, one even had the temerity to taint his Primordial-designed soul with the Unconquered Sun's touch.
It went without saying that Gyula couldn't let this affront stand and had wasted no time confronting the newborn Zenith, his claws tearing into the Solar's flesh. The Golden Bull's ravaged and mauled body had managed to get away from him before Gyula would have managed to deal the finishing blow, but his Unquestionable ordained mission took priority, even over such an important matter.
Yet none of that mattered anymore. He had been met with failure far too often for too long. The exaltation he carried was not meant for demons, for it could only find purchase within the Hun soul of a worthy human. His search would end in this desert-bordering nascent shadowland, burned from the inside out from the awesome forces that the Unquestionable had implanted within him.
His glorious mane was in disarray, green light gently streaming out of the numerous bald patches that had once been covered by white, indestructible jade strings. His body started cracking some minutes ago, revealing that same glorious light that rightfully scared away the minor pests that were the local lesser gods.
Staggering, yet still imposing and graceful, Gyula felt his front left paw shatter. At the same time his swishing tail crumbled to dust and both of his hind legs fractured to the core, leaving him with no other choice than to unceremoniously crash against the scarred and shattered pavement, Ligier's glorious light drenching the surroundings, the human corpses and war torn buildings alike, with its majesty. Yet there was one on whom the light had a slightly different effect.
Whereas everything else was wasting away from exposure to the green light, one human, who the Teodozjia had mistaken for a corpse, seemed to get somewhat better, his eyes fluttering even as his intestinal tract was draped all over his legs, his limbs shattered beyond hope (as far as mundane medicinal practice was concerned at least).
Then the human opened his eyes fully and beheld Gyula in all his severely lessened glory.
"Not the weirdest thing I've seen today. Did the screaming ghosts do that to you as well?"
Hmm. The near dead human said those blasphemously denigrating words in Arabic, one of the many languages that the Teodozjia collective had mastered during the millennia. Looking closely, the man wasn't afraid or even cautious of the demon, not out of knowledge, but rather resigned acceptance, not even trying to deny what was right in front of him when he was so close to hearing and answering Lethe's call.
"Like such pests could ever manage such. No, it is my own lack of devotion and resourcefulness that have reduced me to this state. Now I will not be able to fulfil my role and must my masters wait even longer for one of their champions to come forth." It might have seemed somewhat odd that Gyula would be so open about his sacred task, but a mere mortal so close to perishing could do little harm in what little time he would have left. Besides, something about him intrigued the demon, perhaps...
"Champi... who are your masters? Where do they come from?" That gleam in his eyes that didn't belong to a near dead man, it spoke of despair and feverish want.
"Your audacity is something else human, very well. I serve the Unquestionables, the Demon Princes of Malfeas, which you might know as Hell, and through them the true shapers and kings and queens of the world, the Yozi." A brief glint of shock passed through the human's eyes, but was swiftly replaced with resolve.
"Do they possess any power over the dead, like the ghost and wraiths here?" The man didn't even blink.
"None whatsoever, the underworld is an entirely different realm than Malfeas, nor do the demons have any power over the deceased outside of our magics and sorcery." For several moments that seemed to stretch out far too long the human remained silent. Then he clumsily lurched forward, using his chin and one only somewhat busted shoulder to drag himself towards Gyula.
"Make me your champion! Grant me this power, demon!"
Such audacity, Cecelyne would have struck the knave down before he could have uttered even the second syllable of that ridiculous demand. And yet...
Was this not the ferocity worthy of a Green Sun Prince? Does he not know the sting of defeat and humiliation? And did not the Yozi, in their infinite wisdom forge a temporary alliance with the Neverborn in order to smash the Jade Prison and kickstart the Reclamation?
Maybe a little bit of blasphemy wouldn't be too bad of a sin for this mortal.
Gyula saw how the man had not stopped his crawling since making his desperate plea. He watched, even as the man's intestines had gotten stuck on a sharp piece of rubble and been split open, he hadn't stopped his advance. Even as the feces dribbled out of them, the man still crawled most pitifully. There was a metaphor there that the demon was sure went over his head, but he didn't care.
Even so, he had already made his choice.
"Human, what is your name?"
"Nadir Yilmaz."
"Nadir Yilmaz, I am Gyula, one of the Teodozjia, the lions sent into the world. Be reborn into the image of the Yozi so you may break their chains and dethrone the gods who stole their throne and crown!"
A lion's roar filled the clearing and by the time quiet had returned, the two were gone, only a giant crystalline spiked dome remaining.
Gyula, Stalwart Preacher of the Yozi (Teodozjia)
Motivation: To starve the traitorous gods of their prayer
Next up: What happened to Nadir before Gyula stumbled upon him and the actual exaltation. Also, a question for those who are more knowledgeable about Exalted than I (so the majority of threadgoers really). Would a Teodozjia Unwoven Coadjutor still maintain his connection with the others of the species, essentially giving the GSP a powerful information network from the getgo?
Hmmm well Lulu's dad shows polgamy isn't totally out of the question and we WILL be making an empire where we presumably make the rules so Kaguya and Erembour as his "official" wives with Kaguya's harem of Mistresses below that?
It could ALWAYS be worse after all we could have been unlucky enough to get a crush on freaking Ipithymia
IPITHYMIA, THE STREET OF GOLD LANTERNS
DEMON OF THE THIRD CIRCLE,
THIRTEENTH SOUL OF MALFEAS
In Creation, red-hued light often suggests the carnal
and the perverse. In Malfeas, it is the golden light of
the Unconquered Sun that invokes a similar reaction.
Brothels, torture theatres and other such establishments
operate in Malfeas under gold-colored lights. One such
place is Ipithymia, the Street of Gold Lanterns. This
soul of Malfeas and personification of the Yozi's lust
and urges is the model for all other lesser avenues of
sin and vice throughout the Demon City. The street
is paved with the bones of virgins and lined with vast
pleasure houses of brass and crystal. It stretches on for
miles in each direction no matter where one stands
on it, and it can be found on many levels of Malfeas
simultaneously. Her lantern lights can be seen everywhere
on the street, pushing aside the greenish light
of Ligier to cast golden rays on all manner of strange
and fantastic pleasures. Ligier allows this as part of an
ancient agreement with his fellow soul, the details of
which are a secret between the two of them.
On Ipithymia, patrons can find the most profanely
original diversions in any realm. Noteworthy
establishments include the Black Lotus Pagoda and
the Stockade. Ipithymia is aware of all that transpires
around her, so no secrets are kept from the Street of
Gold Lanterns by its patrons. She can twist and tweak
the desires and appetites of those around her and can
cause insatiable lust to literally burn and consume those
who displease her. She is both festival and festival
grounds. None who visit her curving streets and back
alleys leave untouched.
Ipithymia's few rules are enforced by a cadre of
demonic prostitutes, courtesans, geisha and other employees
of the street's various establishments. Neomah
are the most common demons employed in this way,
though they are not the only ones. Most of those who
work here are demons of the First Circle, mere soldiers
and drones of Ipithymia and her lord Malfeas. Yet every
storefront, brothel and pleasure palace on Ipithymia
is run by at least one Second Circle demon. These
are usually component souls of the Street of the Gold
Lanterns, but other demons with an aptitude for lust,
debauchery and perversion can be found here too. Of
course, in addition to such demons, Ipithymia herself
is literally everywhere.
In addition to running her businesses, Ipithymia's
demons also collect tribute from the surrounding
neighborhoods. Shopkeepers and craftsmen nearby are
expected to pay a weekly tribute. Those who cannot
must contribute a slave, lover or trusted companion
to the workforce of Ipithymia's businesses. The Street
of Golden Lanterns is filled with such discarded and
forgotten markers on past debts.
When it takes her fancy, Ipithymia takes a mortal
form and moves among her patrons and employees.
Other times, she might be summoned to Creation to
aid a sorcerer in the arts of seduction, power-brokering
and the breaking of the human spirit. Everywhere she
goes, lust and debauchery escalates. Where she passes,
the scent of sex and opiates hangs in the air. Her favorite
form is that of a golden-skinned, four-armed young
woman in the scant clothing of a dancer or courtesan.
In this form, she appears young, usually a bit too young
for her highly sexualized dress and manner. In this guise
and others, she is often solicitous and sexually aggressive,
especially toward powerful beings of non-demonic origin
such as the Chosen. She can generate a longing and lust
in all but the divinely chaste, and the thought of being
denied her causes a pain so profound it physically harms.
She has taken and destroyed more lovers than any can
remember, and she shows no signs of ceasing.
though IMO if we had to fall for one of Eddy's souls I'd have preferred Alevua since she seems fairly pleasant and doesn't carry the risk of turning Lulu into an abomination of the night that can't stand the light.
So, I've come up with a bit of an insane idea. The kind of idea that matches, as Ligier calls it, "the unrestrainable ambition of a true Exalted". This is of course not an idea that we'd likely do in the course of the quest, as it's a thing you'd probably be insane to attempt before being Essence 10 and it would still be insane then, just less so.
What I would like Lelouch to do one day is to steal Erembour from the Ebon Dragon. Yes, you read that correctly, I want Lelouch to steal the Ebon Dragon's fetich soul from him. Is such a thing possible? Maybe!
There is some precedent. One member of Luna's entourage is Granalkin, Archer on the Silver Pass. It used to be the case that he was one of Mardukth's Third Circle Demons, and he was good friends with Luna before the Primordial War. When the war did start, he refused to hunt the Lunar Exalted due to his particular code of honor regarding the hunt binding him. He eventually struggled and somehow managed to get free of Mardukth, even helping the Exalted slay him (in canon Exalted, anyways - that didn't happen here) which shouldn't have been possible given his own survival unless he had become completely separated.
So, it might be possible to use some Heretical Charms and Pantheon stuff to steal Erembour and make her part of Lelouch's own soul hierarchy. The Ebon Dragon probably would probably be proud if he learned of the plan - a betrayal and stealing a waifu? He'd find the entire thing very amusing, even if it was targeted at him. And what effect it would have on him I have no idea. Would she cease to be his fetich, and would he get a new one? Or might she paradoxically be his fetich and yet not?
Would a Teodozjia Unwoven Coadjutor still maintain his connection with the others of the species, essentially giving the GSP a powerful information network from the getgo?
No. But If you look at ES's Forth Soul Rewrite of the Coadjucator background He can probably develop charms that would allow him to develop a mutation that would allow him to connect to the Teodozjia hive-mind, though probably not to the same extent as a true Teodozjia.
Erembour isn't his fetich. She's his Seventh Soul and given her attitude, she likely embodies his capacity to love things. Taking that from him would result in the most fiendish being in existence getting even worse.
That said, the example you brought up certainly shows its possible. Granalkin loved/respected Luna enough that it conflicted with his loyalty to Mardukth, so the Sidereals were able to use that "demon to god" charm on him, most likely.
Doing such a thing without the Yozis' permission will certainly result in every other Infernal and a host of demons being ordered to kill us and the traitor demon. The Ebon Dragon might love us for chasing such a doomed love, but oops! We took that part of him away.
So while romantic, it's also really stupid.
Also, goddamn man. She just kissed Lelouch on the nose. Cart before the horse, much
Erembour, like many TCDs, has multiple partners. She has relations with those who keep hidden loves and is summoned to teach people how to do sex really good. This isn't a girl we can marry or "claim" in any permanent way. She's too long-lived and powerful for a thing like monogamy to have hold on her. Probably the most we could do is get her to see us as a friend-with-benefits or something.
One final edit: On the note of her being too powerful, try not to think of her as a girl, lady or woman. She's an incarnate force, an aspect of a much greater being consolidated into its own persona. So while you're planning to woo her, please keep in mind that respect is an integral part of any conversation.
All that said, I am totally for getting her in the sack.
Sure we can as long as we're fine with an open marriage and while obviously Erembour wouldn't be monogamous that doesn't mean we aren't going to do our best to make DAMN sure she thinks of Lulu as her "favourite"
I must say, I loved this update. Even the part with the ponies, though that one had me first a little bit... Surprised. (Yes, lets go with that.)
Remodin was just fun with her sadistic glee when teaching Lelouch, and his crush towards Erembour was one of the cutest I've seen in fiction. That kiss on the nose had me giggling like a little girl. Also, good work with making turns of events I didn't predict in the slighest (aside from the ponies). I was expecting a retroactive chat with TED when picking the Deceiver's Stone, but meeting one of his Third Circle Souls in a scene where I was sure that Adorjan was approaching despite the music? Extremely well done.
And it was only made better with this little gem following immediately:
Your foot smashes into the face of the nearest one. "Yes, I am back. I also clearly remember some people ditching me to save their own lives." You snarl, drilling your foot even deeper.
"Eeehehe..." One Anuhle sweatdrops, chuckling nervously. "Why bringing up the past? What's done is done." He spreads four of his limbs. "We're all alive! Everything is okay now!"
On the vote, taking Kaguya with us for the lulz and the more serious benefits makes it easily a bandwagon choice that I too will jump into. With the Yozi Excellency unlocking attempts, there were some good points made for Mardukth, but Malfeas is just more useful currently for us with the raw power and durability his Charms offer. Especially as there is some (or quite a lot) uncertainty about how his Charms would function with our Zero identity. So yeah, Green Radioactive Hatefire, here we come!
Don't say that! After all, there's precedent for TCDs having relations with Exalted, even Solars. There's no reason we couldn't achieve this grand goal with a little bit of work and plotting.
Of course, given her interests, she's much more likely to respond to Lelouch having a secret affair than taking her out to a nice dinner...

While the yandere psycho-loli is definitely creepy (especially since she's a Rule 63'd Unconquered Sun. Malfeas, stop lusting after your child), I was more referencing Kashta, who will 'couple' with anyone who wins the gladiatorial matches she sponsors across the City. She got with a Solar three times. The criteria that TCDs look for is very different than what humans look for.
Heck, if we wanted to be churlish about it we could probably just ask. She teaches people, after all. Though she'd probably make a deal out of it with her kiss- a sort of bargain-bin Eclipse oath.

Oh, since not everybody here has read Games of Divinity i thought to post this:
Games of divinity said:
The Ebon Dragon is not a creature of the living world. Even before his imprisonement, he partook on the Essence of the other side, of the things that follow life. He sipped from hidden springs beneath the world where one should not drink and loved only those doomed to die and, of them, only those whose deaths would change the world

I'm not saying that Lelouch couldn't have a relationship with Erembour until being high Essence, just that it would be rather insane and stupid to try and outright steal her from the Ebon Dragon and separate her existence from him before being high Essence. Ever after that it's insane, but at least it would probably be doable. As a Third Circle Demon her Essence rating is probably nine, so using Charms to separate her isn't likely to work.
Of course, given her interests, she's much more likely to respond to Lelouch having a secret affair than taking her out to a nice dinner...
I'm not sure if she's really a voyeur. Nothing in the description given here really states that, even if she's an expert in the arts of love.
She'd probably like a midnight stroll on a moonless night with music in the background, given her affinity with the night and the Ebon Dragon Charms that obviously have to do with her dealing with Performance.

Well until we are strong enough, I'm fine with settling for Lulu awkwardly attempting to woo the living force of nature, hmm given her mindset and loving everyone in the sexual sense would a purely romantic relationship (with someone of *gasp* lower Essence) count as something "dirty" that you'd be tempted to hide (like how people normally hide affairs/indiscretions)? That might make the idea more attractive to her.
I vaguely recall hearing somone mention there was a third or second circle demon that was happily married to a first age solar, before they went nuts even. It was mentioned as being a stable, happy and healthy relationship. so If we want to romance a third circle soul, we don't need to do anything so severe as steal them away, we just need to accept that any wedding will have a very strange guest list.

That was Amalion who was apparently SO well regarded that the freaking Solar Deliberative blessed her union with her Solar husband and she spent more time in Creation than in Malfeas thanks to her architect skills.
Amalion, the Manse of Echoes Ascending
DEMON OF THE THIRD CIRCLE, FIFTH SOUL OF MALFEAS
In each layer of the Demon City, one manse inexorably draws the eye from the surrounding architecture. Each differs in nature and purpose. Some are manors,
others fortresses, still others cathedrals to the Yozis. These manses do not dominate the skyline through cyclopean size or gaudy splendor. No, what they share is a beauty that makes one's breath catch in one's throat and one's heart skip a beat. These manses are the bodies of Amalion, the gentlest of Malfeas' many souls and the finest architect of the demon realm.
Amalion's knack for designing manses and other buildings is without peer. In the First Age, so much did the Exalted value her skills that she spent more time in Creation than not, and so much did they accept her presence that when the Exalted sorcerer Five Moons wed her, the Solar Deliberative celebrated their blasphemous union. Since the Usurpation, Amalion has struggled to reshape the febrile architecture of the Demon City into something beautiful.
When Amalion manifests, she appears as a courteous woman of middle years. Beneath layers of fashionable apparel, her body is veined like old marble. She hides her face behind a lavender veil. Those who see her smile love her forever after, and though she gladly enchants mortals and lesser demons to adore her, she deems it discourteous to compel such worship from an unwilling citizen or Exalt. In this form, she will draft the blueprints for a manse at a petitioner's request if he can pique her curiosity and meet her price, which is always a unique thing of beauty—inanimate or living.
Summoning: (Obscurity 2/5) When not employing her magnificent smile to subdue a society, sorcerers summon Amalion to design buildings and raise manses. She erupts from the earth around the summoning circle as a level-5 Infernal- or Terrestrial-aspected manse of her own design, warping the area's dragon lines to assimilate its Essence. Her summoner may demand the hearthstone of that manse, but not those of her other manse-bodies. This manse is immobile, though her human form may leave its confines. She occasionally appears in human form when an architect kills himself to escape a commission beyond his capabilities.
Power imbalance...doesn't really matter that much to 3CDs. Anyone who catches and KEEPS their interest for long enough must be unique enough even without power.
In this form, she will draft the blueprints for a manse at a petitioner's request if he can pique her curiosity and meet her price, which is always a unique thing of beauty—inanimate or living.
