Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

this was maybe the best chapter yet!
and Ponys as Oramus demons- is so fitting we should've seen it coming ,except its the type of madness only Oramus would dream of...

Loved his cute crush on Erembour-i can see him looking to find someone to give advice on girls later-to great laughs (maybe much much later, with high Essence have him swap tips with TED over getting the girl, and merits of redheads versus black white haired ones). i support Enjou's idea to try get this particular 'Sempei to notice us'. Lulu needs a Waifu. Milliy must never know or she will never let him live it down!

as for my votes:

X] Bring Kaguya with you

[X] Szorney
doesn't this one have some healing charms-so we could finally heal Nunally.

Ok, this update was pure awsome. The ponies cought me by surprise, but getting a demented loli as a mentor and a crush on one of the Ebon Dragon's souls was just .

Lelouch definitely loved Shirley. Remember, at the mall he jumped all the way off the roof on sheer reflex to try and save her.
Then again, he kinda needed a hell of a long time and a very dramatic moment to actualy admit as much to himself. Here its pretty much "meet hot demon babe, crush all over hot demon babe". For most of CG he was mostly oblivious to Shirley's feelings, as well as his own feelings towards her.

[X] Bring Kaguya with you
[X] Malfeas

Speaking of, we should probably buy the first pantheonic heresy charm, the one that lets us make custom devas, next purchase. It's like Demon summoning, only you get custom stuff. Like a deva that's optimized for piloting Knightmares.

Note that we can't actually have functional devas (AKA, actual, summonable Devas that aren't just fluff) until we get Titanic heart overweening, and that requires Essence 4. We also need Saphire circle sorcery to do the actual summoning.

It will be a while until we start having our own souls helping around. They start as children after all.

I can't be on the web until this evening, so I will leave a single thing to help in your discussion. This appears in Shards of the Exalted Dream:

Shards of the Exalted Dream said:
A Legacy for Malfeas

Even in the unthinkable event that Theion would fail and be imprisoned within himself as Malfeas, the Demon City, he is home to such unimpeachable glory that some embers of it would gutter on. The following Charms are possessed by the Shining Tyrant and would not suffer meaningful alteration in his fall: Green Sun Nimbus Flare, Godscorch Invective, World Chains Geas, Magnanimous Warning Glyph, Radiant Fury Dissolution and Kissed By Hellish Noon from The Manual of Exalted Power—Infernals, pages 114-117. As Charms of Theion, their ultimate prerequisite is Burning Gaze of the Firmament rather than Insignificant Embers Intuition.
Likewise, Malfeas retains A Prince for the Queen and Two Hearts as One, that gave birth to Ligier and elevated him to the status of second fetich, even if he is too wounded to have two hearts now. Conversely, the Demon City is clearly a creature of darkness, because only one so purely magnificent and hallowed as the Empyreal Chaos can possess the Invincible Creator Authority that raised him above the hatred of the Wayward Sun.

Now, if only I could find A Prince for the Queen and Two Hearts as One in Shards... Halps?!?

I dont think they are written anywhere other than their mention in the text you quoted.

Pretty sure they aren't mentioned anywhere else.
I'd personally put them as expansions to [Malfeas] Pantheon Unfurling - the Yozi 3rd circle creation charm, as they seem kinda meaningless without it.

Just because we can't do Malkuth, doesn't mean we have to go for the other obvious option. Diversifying can be fun, but why not improve our raison d'etre?

Also, has everyone else realised that since C.C. originally offered geass to Lelouch because of his family, since he's no longer compatible and she has now been more or less left alone with Nunnally, Lelouch might well return home to a surprise?

As I thought. A pity, because they have cool names.

My point still stands. I am perfectly willing to allow some of Theion Charms to be passed to Malfeas, provided they are adapted to the now Lord of Hell.

It is my belief that people voting for Malfeas wants him not to make Lelouch a better leader, but for the combat Charms. Lulu is still a squishy wizard in any real fight, and there will be a time when he will have to fight other Exalts in combat - and he will not always have soldiers ready to defend him.

Hmm, according to this, Leila appears to have a geass ability in canon. Is that non-canon, rephrased as a Dragonblood ability, or is it just that Exaltations can apply on top of Geass, but not the other way around?

Also, given that in canon, Charles' ultimate goal was to use the sword of Akasha to destroy the gods....I wonder whether we'll want to stop him here?

Nunnally being given a Geass came up a while back, though there was no real consensus on it. I personally believe it's unlikely, however; her inability to see makes it possible she wouldn't be able to use any Geass she gets, and her disability and general attitude of simply living life makes her a poor candidate w.r.t. her developing any Geass she might get (so her reaching the point she could take C.C.'s is unlikely). And C.C. isn't the type to go handing out Geass willy-nilly.

Also, we left guards on Nunnally with orders to keep C.C. from doing anything that might harm her.

"Exalted must have an Essence three dots greater, and they may not spend their own blood to power an artifact they create."

Not unless the charm circumvents this. Doesn't make much fluff sense, but mechanically the reasons are obvious.

The Charm's intent I think is for the Infernal to be able to use their own blood and any bits they're willing to cut off of himself as a crafting material. So yeah, it might need to be explicitly added, but it is the intent.

Worst case is that we get around it with Pantheon bullshit and have our component souls craft stuff for us.
Or use it with Muse of Unearthly Delights. GRANT people the ability to craft beyond their skill.
So it is impossible that mortals make artifacts? Nonsense, they just need the proper inspiration and unique components to craft beyond their limits.

She's TED's Fetich Soul? Return of the Scarlet Empress splat suggests otherwise...

Ah, you're right. My bad. Still, that makes things easier.

Erembour isn't his fetich. She's his Seventh Soul and given her attitude, she likely embodies his capacity to love things. Taking that from him would result in the most fiendish being in existence getting even worse.

That said, the example you brought up certainly shows its possible. Granalkin loved/respected Luna enough that it conflicted with his loyalty to Mardukth, so the Sidereals were able to use that "demon to god" charm on him, most likely.

Doing such a thing without the Yozis' permission will certainly result in every other Infernal and a host of demons being ordered to kill us and the traitor demon. The Ebon Dragon might love us for chasing such a doomed love, but oops! We took that part of him away.

So while romantic, it's also really stupid.

Also, goddamn man. She just kissed Lelouch on the nose. Cart before the horse, much ;)

Erembour, like many TCDs, has multiple partners. She has relations with those who keep hidden loves and is summoned to teach people how to do sex really good. This isn't a girl we can marry or "claim" in any permanent way. She's too long-lived and powerful for a thing like monogamy to have hold on her. Probably the most we could do is get her to see us as a friend-with-benefits or something.

One final edit: On the note of her being too powerful, try not to think of her as a girl, lady or woman. She's an incarnate force, an aspect of a much greater being consolidated into its own persona. So while you're planning to woo her, please keep in mind that respect is an integral part of any conversation.

All that said, I am totally for getting her in the sack. :ogles:

Like I said, it's more of an insane plan for Essence 10 Lelouch to pursue - it's not really in the scope of this quest, as Lelouch right now wouldn't even consider it as something he could do. By that point most of the Infernals will be Essence 10 as well and will have gone Devil Tiger, and their Unquestionables would outnumber those of the Yozis most likely. We'll never get a chance to even think of pursuing this in quest, though. And yes, it's stupid, but that's the point - SV will waifu over the smallest thing.

Also, nobody said anything about forcing her to be monogamous. Do you think Lelouch will be? Not likely. Especially now that Erembour has made him realize "wow, a woman's touch actually feels good". (Ebon Dragon: "Just as planned! You've corrupted him. Good job, Erembour. Him dying a virgin was just unacceptable given how much of magnificent bastard he is, you know.")
