Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

[X] Help the terrorists
-[X] Strategy: Some would say that reversing this situation is impossible, but you are no longer bound by mere impossibility. You are Lelouch vi Britannia, and you will change the very conventions of warfare. You send two groups of seven each of your spidery minions to begin seizing Knightmares from their Britannian pilots, a gift to the terrorists so they may fight. Once one group has seized their Knightmare frames you send them to observe the enemy command center to gather information and to report back to you anything they have found.
-[X] Stunt: "We have you now, Elevens!" The pilot of the Sutherland states, his and his companions' guns leveling themselves on the helpless terrorists. Now though, you spring your trap. From the shadows, your own Knightmare gestures for your minions to attack. Screams can be heard from the Britannian soldiers as demons slay and devour them. You radio the terrorists, instructing them to get in the now open cockpits, your minions nowhere to be seen. The redhead is the first to get over her shock, taking a Sutherland and asking you what to do next.

I was just looking, and I think Cecylene's Excellency would have fit Lelouch more. Planning and methodical just fits him better.

There is nothing to say we can't get it, though it should be kept in mind that it's expensive to do so - Yozi First Excellencies have to be purchased multiple times to equal the Infernal's Essence rating due to their versatility when compared to the more standard Excellencies of other Exalted.

Also, regarding Cecylene I think getting some of her Charms would be useful for us as a social manipulator. The ones that grant wishes in exchange for favors are pretty useful, as is the ability to make locusts that make people revere the Infernal when eating them.

[X] Help the terrorists

I know shit about Exalted besides that Sakura-whatshername- tutorial

I honestly want to call it "Eyes of enrapture " or something sense it deals with the eyes and makes people want to stare at you.

With this you choose to not help the terrorist. Also it doesn't trigger the Oramus Excellency, and I will need to stop the update before actually meeting Clovis.

Was I clear with my explanations?
Mmm, it needed work(but mostly the purpose was to get people stunting, rather than a complete work in itself) due to being typed on mobile.

That said, it SHOULD trigger the Orasmus Excellency.

Seven pairs sent on one task, while six spiders + Lelouch(A team of seven units) infiltrating the command center is perfectly legitimate.

"We have you now, Elevens!"

P.S. We're going to need a lot of plans with Seven Elevens in the future :D

I was just looking, and I think Cecylene's Excellency would have fit Lelouch more. Planning and methodical just fits him better.
Oh and for this, you can make the argument for most of the Yozis, they're broad enough for that.

Malfeas loves the grand gestures and epic stunts, even if done behind a mask.

Cecelyn rewards methodical planning, though she'd require powerful information gathering to actually justify it, and when things deviate from the plan...well imagine your bonuses drying up RIght when you need them the most.

In Orasmus' case, it comes of unorthrodox strategies, and an obsession with numerology. 7s are actually fairly easy to work into a stunt, even if it doesn't make sense to outside parties.

Yeah, the expense is what I was thinking about.

Not really many Infernal charms that really fit Lelouch as a general.
May need to create some, though, not sure which Yozi they would fit best.
Might need to be Heretical.

Maybe get some from other Exalted. Alchemicals and Sidereals have some good ones (if he could get them to teach him, or implant them in him.)

Theion fit best. Omniscient eye in the sky, buffed to leading and buffing lieutenants. Too bad Lulu chose paradox instead of being HAIL TO THE KING, BABY!

Orasmus has a...unique approach to mass combat. His idea of mass combat is "I brought my own army out of my dreams...also yours are all going insane and mutating"

Don't think that was a choice.
No, that's the Crimson Charm. It lets the GSP walk around as the king of his dreams, fight as if he was supported by his entire kingdom, social as if he spoke for an organization, and drag fleeing enemies off into his own personal dream realm. With blackjack, hookers, and betentacled eldritch abominations waiting to eat your san points.

I'm not sure how well this may work as a charm, but here's something. It needs work and is not done, but this rough idea is something that I've had in mind for a while. And I don't think there's much like it in Exalted itself.

Substantial illusion of repeating appearance
Cost: 1 health level+10m
Substantial illusion of repeating appearance allows the user to create copy of them self for every health level plus 10 motes, and will have one health level. Alternatively for the cost of an extra copy, one copy can have one extra health level. All copies are effectively real until all health levels are lost, then they die and will slowly perspire into essence. All health levels given to create a copy will can not be recovered until the copy no longer exists. A copy can be canceled at will for one temporary will power each. Copies are loyal to their creator, for one week per essence level of the user. After which the original can regain the lost health levels, the copy is free of its bonds and able to act or do as it pleases without any of the exaltation based powers of the original.

A copy that is killed before the time limit, or canceled before such time, returns a copy of all it's new memories to the original. Copies are able to use spells, but only have half the essence pool of the original.

Prerequisite Charms: What Is and What Should Never Be, Beautiful In My Way

The Dragon Beyond the World sees both Creation and the Impossible at once, his paradoxical and vast being allowing him to suffer no ill effect from that Which Is and what is Not without fail. Upon purchasing this Charm the Infernal expands her sight to gaze upon all that Which Is and that Which Is Not without distraction. This removes the perception penalty while in Creation from What Is and What Should Never Be.

However, the warlock's eyes shine with a kaleidoscope of 7,777,777 impossible colors. The effect is only Obvious when one looks the Infernal directly in the eyes. Doing so ensnares the watcher, making it difficult to look away. The affected character builds an Intimacy of obsession toward the Infernal, unless they reflexively spend one Willpower to avert their gaze. Characters who have conflicting Intimacies that would interfere with this process find those feelings weakened. For one full day afterwards, any Intimacy built or attacked can't be lessened or rebuilt, respectively. After a day, the Intimacies may be affected normally.

If the Infernal spends willpower to not cause the effect of Beautiful In My Way on a given character it also applies to the effect of this Charm.

A repurchase at Essence 4 allows the warlock to reflexively roll (Perception + Awareness) die plus (Essence) successes to pierce through magical disguises, for he sees that Which Is and that Which Can Not Be. At Essence 5 the warlock may spend three motes to cause an Unnatural Mental Influence to force an individual to make direct eye contact.

Changes:
1. Fiddled with the text to make it more in line with other Charms and thematically appropriate. Corrected some grammar as well. Added a possible name for the charm that is appropriate for what it does, though I'm not married to it.

2. I've changed the intimacy of fascination to one of obsession. My reasoning for this is that Beautiful In My Way already causes rapt fascination if you spend a scene with someone, and fascination here wouldn't really change much in that regard . This instead adds upon that, causing obsession. Fascination alone won't necessarily make someone obsessed - they'll think about you sometimes when you're not around, and they'll definitely look at you more when you're in the room, but they won't necessarily act beyond that. Obsession... well, that's another kettle of fish. This is what Lelouch feels towards Nunnally, but could potentially go to even higher levels. It makes the Infernal the center of the affected character's world more and more as the Intimacy is built up, and fits the theme of madness.

This could be for good or ill for the Infernal, as other Intimacies do come into play. If someone has an Intimacy of hate towards the Infernal, Obsession means they will spend more time thinking about how much they hate the Infernal and they may take action on that. That would be bad if you'd rather they just leave you alone, but it could be good if you want to draw them out and try to force them to do insane shit so you can attack them in some manner. On the flip side, imagine if someone had an Intimacy of love towards the Infernal. Shirley could easily become Lelouch's stalker with this Charm in play. That might be good if we wanted to get her to do things for us, because as you know Lelouch will do anything for Nunnally, but on the other hand it would mean she'd probably start stalking him. Given how many girls at Ashford Academy have the hots for Lelouch (who is now even more hot than before) taking this Charm could easily make Lelouch's social life there interesting. And totally hilarious for us.

3. Added a rule that the willpower expenditure for Beautiful In My Way to prevent the effect of that from happening to someone applies to this Charm as well.

4. Added an Essence 5 ability add to the Charm that lets the Infernal spend motes to force someone to look into their eyes.

@Alexander89 - quick question about how you are handling Beautiful In My Way. Does it affect people if the Infernal is wearing a mask and sufficient body covering, if an individual is blind or otherwise can't see the Infernal, or if the Infernal is magically disguised using Loom-Snarling Deception in a form that is less beautiful?

I love how one of our charms makes Lulu super beautiful and attractive in an uncanny way. It's like the story and mechanics are acting as if he wasn't already a main character in an anime drawn by CLAMP, while telling themselves "Hey just play it cool they won't notice!".

-[x] Task 14 of our Anuhle with eliminating the pilots of isolated Britannian Knightmares, and relay their positions to the terrorists. Afterwards, direct 7 of those Anuhle to make their way to Clovis' headquarters and begin to spy on it and any of the important-seeming people there, relaying information directly to you if possible, or simply gathering it for later if not.
-[x] Once the terrorists have acquired Knightmare Frames, guide them on how to best use them against the Britannian forces here, to cause as much damage as possible. Try to make note which, if any, of the terrorists seem to be particularly skilled, in order to estimate whether they might be useful in the long run.
-[x] STUNT: Klchrkitnirchek patiently made her way along the wall of a building, stalking a lone not-Warstrider to kill its pilot as their new Master had ordered. An opportunity presented itself when the machine paused to gun down a group of fleeing mortals, and with a mighty push of her legs she propelled herself forward, into and then through the metal surrounding the not-Warstrider's pilot chamber. Shimmering as she took on a physical form, the pilot only had time for his eyes to widen in terror before her fangs pierced the sides of his neck. Within second, her potent Essence-venom liquified his insides, which she eagerly drank, finishing her work by devouring the remaining skin and cloth, before shedding her physical form, and leaving to report to their Master.

-[X] As they depart, you head for Clovis's command with the remaining six spiders following from concealment, a messenger with an urgent message. Blood stains your soldier's garb as you reach his guards, warning them of rebels in close pursuit, even as the lights sway from the shock of crashing Knightmares. Clovis awaits his final message, alone in the center of his power. Your face becomes his own, even as the spiders take him...

Well, more Infernals. That should be interesting. The question is whether or not they've Exalted yet, or if we Exalted first. Having a headstart is definitely an advantage in terms of getting them to join us, because we definitely want the other Infernals in our circle.
They're already Exalted. But only two visited Malfeas so far, and only one beyond the strictly amount of time required. There are currently some problems organizing the "Thing Infernal" into a proper ruling body.

About that, I really need a better name for that. Chapter 1 and 2 of Infernal manual obviously ignored, it's my hope and desire to portray the Demon Realm and GSPs not as evil, but as just a different alternative/interpretation.

Now, as to why certain combinations are better... that's poppycock. Especially when you can homebrew charms. Better for certain things? Sure. But ultimately Infernals are very flexible and no combination is really invalid since it depends on what you want to do. So the real questions should be how awesome each combinations are be and how are they best used?
I completely agree. I should have chosen a different wording.

The Defiler with Cytherea charms will be interesting. Defilers are often mad scientist types, and while I'm not really all that familiar with Cytherea my understanding is that she's involved heavily in creating stuff or catalyzing it in some manner. As such I can see this person being a very powerful crafter who could make all sorts of goodies. This would synergize well with us getting Muse of Unearthly Delights to have them make unique items. I've got three possible candidates for this character from the named characters...

1. Lloyd. He's already a fucking mad scientist. He even has the insane personality. He cares more about his work than anything else, really, aside from maybe one or two personal relationships, and even those still take back seat. However, I'd put him as a rather weak candidate for Exalting as an Infernal for no other reason that I can't really see him failing so badly that he'd warrant an Infeneral intervention because of his position and having Schneizel's backing.

2. Rakshata. The other mad scientist. Not quite as insane, but still a mad scientist in her way. She got into the field she's in hoping to end war, so her motivation would meet ours in terms of trying to create a peaceful world. Also, she refers to her creations as her "children" so that motherly aspect might be something that would draw the interest of Cytherea. Also, being on the underdog side she's got a fair chance at failing at something.

3. Nina Einstein. This is paradoxically a candidate that I think is both a dark horse and likely at the same time. She's got a brilliant mind, in canon making both the in world equivalents of a nuke and an anti-nuke. She's also got the capacity to go bug fuck nuts when things don't go right. I can definitely see her failing in some manner that might warrant the Yozis' attention.
Good choices. You're definitely getting close...

Now, the Slayer chosen by Isidoros... god good, that's gonna be someone who's really good in any kind of straight-up fight. This is the person we'd send to trample our enemies with hooves covered in radioactive green fire. They would seriously fuck them up. Two candidates...

1. Jeremiah Gottwald. The guy is straightforward and brash enough, and even though he's got a big loyalty thing going on he seems like he can do things quite independently. Just point him at what you want dead and don't try getting in his way. Seems like he'd be down for a bit of hedonism as well. He's also got ample opportunity to fail.

2. Kallen. I'd prefer her for the Lunar role (bunny ears are a must) but she could fit this role well enough, and she's got a brash and independent streak.
Here instead isn't even close.

Here's the current List:

Slayer: Malfeas/Isidoros
Malefactor: Cecelyne/???
Defiler: SWLiHN/Cytherea
Scourge: Adorjan/???
Fiend: Ebon Dragon/Oramus (our Lulu)

It's my current hope to somehow fit Szoreny, Hegra and/or Elloge in the last two missing posts. Well there is also Kimberly, but...

Got any idea?

Liberating Japan alone might be enough.
Only if everyone recognize Lelouch as ruler supreme. Even unofficially.

There is nothing to say we can't get it, though it should be kept in mind that it's expensive to do so - Yozi First Excellencies have to be purchased multiple times to equal the Infernal's Essence rating due to their versatility when compared to the more standard Excellencies of other Exalted.
Like I said, houserule:
Alexander said:
Like I said there are houserules: I'm going with an anti-xp sink houserule, where all the general charms (First Yozi Excellency, Yozi Mythos Exultant) are free when the minimum Essence is reached, repurchase Charms are also free. However, for Yozi that aren't Patron or Favored you still need to buy the First Excellency, but only that.
To offset that to get another Yozi's First Excellency and relative Charm you need to go to Malfeas, enter in communication with said Yozi and successfully convince it to open its Charmset. Minimum time is a full scene.

Simply put, I decided to go for narrative difficulty to compensate the removed mechanically difficulty.
I'm not sure how well this may work as a charm, but here's something. It needs work and is not done, but this rough idea is something that I've had in mind for a while. And I don't think there's much like it in Exalted itself.

That's good, save for the "Unnatural Mental Influence to force an individual to make direct eye contact": said character must have a way to resist it. Also, it's a social attack or a Shaping effect? I need a dice pool for roll-offs. A second opinion would also be appreciated, or finding a similar effect for reference.
How about "Dual Gaze Paradox" for a name? Playing on the fact Oramus in his Excellency mock duality, so he can be both of Creation and outside of it at the same time.

Interesting question. Considering Exalted treats Appearance as a static dump Attribute good only to offer MDV bonuses, I suppose I can houserule it. The answer is: in all three cases Beautiful In My Way doesn't work.

So, I am making the sheet of average Knightmare. They're way weaker than a Warstrider or Hellstrider, but sometime precise so I can see how beings from Creation, and Exalted, stand against them. A little help there?

I also need a date for Shinjuku's battle. Day and month. A precise calendar is important for the quest. Who can help me there?

Lelouch's Cult (Yozi) Background means that in Japan there is at least a Yozi Cult with a good enough number of people (something that Britannia's policy made all the easier to breed). Ideas to define them are welcome.

Last question: Lelouch's appearance as Infernal after fusing with Seyrun? Quick reminder: he's an Anuhles. All it's certain of its appearance is black and green fur with some patches of white near the head and seven pupiless red eyes, the eighth white and blind from a scar.

On second thought another question: anyone know about an Exalted NPC Solar Exalt called Arlot?
