Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

So, regarding the update:
1) We missed an opportunity to tell our friends that aliens are totally real, and they are *points at specific directions* over there.
2) If Alec is going into military, I think a good fortune talisman for him should be a must.
3) Izzy tries to put on a good show, but it's clear that she really wants that marine biology / is not completely satisfied with the path before her. Now, how to arrange this without it looking like charity and ruining our friendship
4) At some point we should work on providing unaging quality to all our friends and family. We have multiple ways of doing so.
5) We should bring some souvenirs to Izzy from Vegas.

I might be affected by the occasional paranoia in the thread, but where did we get that information?
I don't like showing others that we can arbitrarily know things and it doesn't get any more arbitrary than knowing the location of aliens that have never contacted earth or shown up on any mundane or magical farsight as far as we know.

Nah, he'll have a lot of education ahead of him before he even comes close to any wars.
And even then, have the USA lost real ships in any conflict of the last decades?

Not a fan.

Well, we got it via the crown, but we don't need to tell them that.
This one, I will fight people about. We have the ability, we ourselves are biologically immortal, and it costs us little (some time and effort) to make others the same, or at least give them an opportunity to become such. It is an absolute quality of life improvement. I'll push strongly for this.
I think that a talisman of protection from Earth would be best. Protection from both bullets and shrapnel.
Can still be hurt by explosions and fire. Still, we'll think of something.

No defense is perfect. At least no defense we can make economically and most wounds caused by explosions are actually the metal shrapnel which is metal and therefor included.

Edit: Although from a wiki read going by pure numbers stress seems to have been the biggest killer of American solders in Iraq rather then direct enemy action. Can we make something that gives a 3 second warning of attack? Most enemy inflicted damage was ambush and having that sort of lucky charms seems great for stress.

We don't have to explain how we know.
I know.

I'm just saying, and I know it sounds paranoid, how would that sound if we were under magical surveillance or someone later got the memories of this interaction from our muggle-friends?
There wouldn't be many conclusions left to draw besides Molly having powerful divinatory powers she can use for trivial stuff, ergo coming at no great cost.

The equivalent of Danger Sense? That is a supernatural merit, but not a very powerful one. I think you guys should be able to make this as a prodigy, though a relatively high level one, level 3. Or you could just get VEE and give Alec a wish.

That is more comprehensive then I was thinking of. I was just thinking of something like our anima effect where we can't be surprised. Then again there might be no just about that given that works a 100% of the time where danger sense needs a roll.

Molly's anima effect is a perfect effect, you cannot make those unfortunately at least not for something as wide ranging as a surprise negator

Yes I should have realized that. People have been trying to find ways to surprise attack others and avoid the same since before there where any people. A perfect no false positives or negatives detection of danger requires a perfect effect.

Anyway if we were going to give him danger sense we would want to figure out what his Perception + Alertness looks like since the merit is dependent on skill. Although that feels like something Perception + Alertness should do without needing a merit. It is the point of the skill.

Then again I suppose danger sense explicitly works even when you don't see it coming with normal senses. So well normal Perception + Alertness has to contest someone's stealth skill danger sense just works. Only stopped by things like Anonymity Through Propriety. Which just eat attention.

Danger sense will work not just on things you cannot normally perceive yes, like if someone set a bomb on your car and you would have to be in the blast radius to spot it, Danger Sense would ping before that.

@DragonParadox can you please update the character sheet? Wanted to quote Anonymity Through Propriety here. Also I think that you are going to need to do a small adjustment for Calibration gate to accommodate the fact that many of the places it goes in WoD don't exist in DF.

It's very late and I was about to turn in for the night, I'll get to it in the morning. for now here's the charm:

Anonymity Through Propriety (••)
The Infernal wraps herself in a mantle of Essence which devours the attention of the weak-willed, making it feel like an impossible burden to notice the Exalt or interfere in her affairs.
System: Spend 1 Essence and roll Charisma + Etiquette against difficulty 4. Anyone whose Willpower rating is equal to or lower than the resulting successes cannot notice or acknowledge the Infernal unless she directly interacts or interferes with them. If she's taking some indirect action that would distress a character were he to acknowledge it (such as reading his diary or murdering his spouse), and that character has Willpower 5+, they can spend a point of Willpower and make a Willpower roll against difficulty 7 to attempt to acknowledge and confront the Infernal. This Charm lasts for one scene.
Signature Effect: Anonymity Through Propriety activates at no cost when the Infernal dons her Shintai form.

I'll change the text of the spell when I port it over, don't worry.

It keeps amazing me just how much of a trap most signature effects are. Wow save the one essanse needed to activate it. No the effect isn't toggle able or work any better than it normally does. The least they could have done is give some extra successes or increase the DC to fight the effects in Shintai form.

[X] A Veil in Summer: Lilly is in a bad way, her memories of mortality, the things she loved and cherished slipping through her fingers, becoming more and more like the last Summer Lady, given what the last Summer Lady did there's more cause than just sympathy to stop her

Holden doesn't like infernals, it's wonder they got crowns and second shintai

Molly's family is super religious, it's unlikely they'd want to delay their final reward. For everyone else the FCF already does this. When they start getting old take a vacation to the courts until age kills them, then start again under a new ID.

It's not like they'd be able to maintain a constant identity for centuries or something anyway.
