Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] Prune the tentacles (You might not get all of them in time before the pair is attacked)

Good night guys, see you in the morning with... hopefully getting the civilians out of here or else this is going to be the most short lived vampire in the world.
Do you know the game Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines?

In the intro you get turned, then staked and then almost executed (you were sired without permission).

Hard to beat that speedrun, but we could do it here.

We should have talked ourself. Using the father's mouth doesn't seem to have reduced the DC at all. Or did we? The update is unclear.
As I understand it, we did talk ourselves. We used PSP to get context, then Molly chose to act by herself, rather than empowering the Doctor (and I like the name) to speak better.

For now. If anyone has any better idea, I am game. Purely to save on essence.

In which case it would be better for Molly with her DPE to just talk and get the -2 DC. I thought that we were going to speak though him somehow.

Arc 15 Post 97: Defiler's Touch New
Defiler's Touch

14th of March 2007 A.D.

Karolina's scream is lost somewhere behind you as you hurl yourself back through the narrow opening sword held out horizontally at waist level to slice and hook around landing in the middle of the... Nope, that is a mouth. Why is it always mouths? You do not in fact land in the middle of the tentacles, since there is a giant circular mouth there made up of concentric rings of teeth and spines and God-knows-What visible under the ice hovering instead right above it as one of the tentacles slams into the side of your nameless companion, snapping at least his arm and probably a few ribs in on the bargain and another caves in the back of the professor's head, though that doesn't keep him from clambering away on bloody hands.

Something eerily like the hunting horn you had heard in Arctis Tor rings out from beneath your feet, though this is no fey signal, but something older and crueler.

"Get out!" you shout, eyes flaring to life around you and the beast, not under the ice you realize, but under the skin of the world, seems to take stock of this new potential prey right over its maw.

Abyssal takes 3 Damage -> Now at 6/10 (Already down 1 HL from Feeding)
Vampire Professor takes 4 Damage -> Now at 3/7

It vomits upwards, an eruption of viscera and blood and bone, enough to suffocate any living thing... but an lake of blood is still an lake and you do not fear drowning.

It's not until a bone spear flies by your right shoulder that you realize the blood wasn't meant as an attack, but as an environment. Misshapen once-human figures swarm down from the higher cracks, the mountain groaning with the blood it has spilled. Incongruously your mind goes back to last year's biology class, the faintly nasal voice of Miss Sherwood: 'When the body detects an foreign pathogen macrophages swarm the site, seeking to envelop and digest the microbes in question'.

Looking around you see six Fomori none with the look of nobles, all of them bear some kind of spear almost too long to use as a weapon against anything human-sized. Caretakers, you realize for the thing in the ice, roused by the same alarm that had set it feeding, though what that might have been is still a mystery to you. It can't have been you entering or simply that you had taken some of the prisoners back. You'd have notices wards across the veil or at the very least the person who was using the veil like a road would have.

"Thief!" One of them screams, oddly enough in understandable, if burbling English as the blood twists around their fists like a living thing and slams into you with enough force to pulp organs, at least if those organs were no more protected than in any other human.

It only manages to move you a few feet to the left, already moving him up on the list of who has to die first even as most of your mind is occupied with trying to figure out how the others could escape. You have no interest in fighting a mountain at the moment. Thankfully the mountain seems to agree. Having puked out several Olympic swimming pools worth of blood the tentacle horror is withdrawing from the befouled surface of the ice.

That is when you notice something else move past out of the corner of your eye, not lingering in the chamber, but darting out of one blood flooded tunnel and into another. It definitely looked human with none of the fish-like rounding and wide staring eyes of the fomori.

Damn my curiosity.

What do you do?

[] Kill the fomori and get the hell out of here

[] Chase the strange figure

[] Write in

OOC: Welp the Vampire and the Abyssal didn't have the best rolls, but neither of them are dead (which was a real possibility) so we can count that as 'good enough'. Now the question is do you want to swim though the regurgitated blood of a piomordial horror looking for strange beings or get out of here. What...? I've seen how you guys play.

-[X][STUNT]"Your concern is appreciated, but it was seems a bit misplaced. RUN! I'll be fine."

Friendly contract with the Docter is the whole point of this mission. Now if he wants to do more that it is fine, but we don't need to add things on.

He is a Day Caste who spent five of his charm dots on making vampires and three more on being able to turn into a selectively intangible ghost (which ran out before the ambush). He's a sneak with a side order of creepy not a fighter.
Real heavy investment for a pretty bad minion-charm though.

I'd have bought it at Essence 2, with the Apocalyptic Version maybe. That way you can at least get decent minions out of it.
After buying some social/mindcontrol charms to actually get reliable minions of course.
Abyssals are good at breaking minds and forcing obedience.

He didn't make a conscious choice to buy his charms, he had an intimacy that pinged 'bring the professor back from the dead' which got him the charm paid for out of his character creation budget.

Wow and he was worried about us. I didn't realize the depths of irony. I feel like it is worth mentioning that if we fight these Fomor with the objective of escaping this place CCC applies which makes the fight much easier.

Touche.. erugh. Maybe use the Crown to see if it's relevant then act based on what it says? Depending on what we ask the Urge may trigger, the last time it did was over two hours ago. The Urge clearly also applies to the readers. How appropriate.

Then again these guys almost died, if we leave them in enemy territory they may be screwed. That girl too.

By the way PSP didn't seem to take effect that scene to replace rolls for the Abyssal, no rolls were posted either. Should that have been specified ahead of time, like during the last vote?
