Developing local Kaminoan industries will be benefecial for faster production time and a source of revenue while also possibly gaining the respect of the Kaminoans for bringing them more money.

That respect can results in us currying favor with them to use for.

It's important to note, from a military perspective, the supplier for the majority of the Clones basic equipment (walkers, blasters, tanks, etc) was based in Rothana, which is literally right next door to Kamino when looking at the galaxy map.

I know building up industry on the planet itself might be a good concept, but having it be constructed on Kuat and Rothana gives us way more dice rolls on actually improving the clones themselves

Also Kamino being a water world is utter shit for expansion. More expensive infrastructure.

Rishi is a better location and the natives are friendly. You just need to drive the smugglers and pirates out.

Why do I want to instead of making clone soldiers right away focus on administrative and rear echelon commanders and support staff to help us out with roles like Doing Paperwork or even helping with construction actions. I mean making soldiers is important but relatively can be done quicker than construction, medical, administrative or spec ops units. Essentially focus on the foundations and back bone of the army for now, logistics.

Something to also keep in mind is this is an army meant to fight across the galaxy, we're probably gunna have to go middle of the road quality wise for the equipment if we want them to be able to actually have the numbers required to fight a Galactic war.

That is also true. We need to do a balancing act. We also need folks for Spec Ops, and more. So this is going to be a game of getting what is need but not over using.

I can already hear the arguments this thread is going to have over equipment with many people not understanding logistics repeating the 'why settle for the Sherman tank' argument or some variation of 'why do we have to settle for a good tank that's logistically amazing when we can make wunderwaffe that are logistic headaches

But you see, cool tank cool, checkmate supply person. :p

T-34 GANG PRESENT, NAZI TANKS FUCK OFF!!!

Honestly the only mainline vehicle the clones used canonically that I have a problem with is their Heavy Artillery walker. It uses lasers. What kind of artillery can't provide indirect fire support? If it was labelled as an anti air/anti orbital option then sure, I guess, but it's not gonna do jack shit for the boots on the ground. All the other vehicles are decent honestly. We should focus more on training, gene augments and improved personal gear if we want to make a qualitative difference without slamming head first into too many logistics issues.

If we're going by Legends canon, then those are capable of indirect fire. The 2D Clone Wars cartoon shows them firing with their bolts arcing. They're modular.

Hopefully our clone will be competent and not like the clone wars clones who liked to stand around without cover or move towards the people with the light swords and not away.

I'm going with them being capable of indirect fire even though they use lasers because it doesn't make any less sense than artillery that is incapable of indirect fire and they do that in some games at least.

That is mainly becaues its you know a Cartoon. Also that is a bit on the Jedi. They did not get strategy or tactics full yet.

We might be able to get Palps to provide specific and dedicated anti force user training. Maybe confined to specialist units that are specially equipped for it. He'd want it for the Jedi, we'd want it for him but be able to justify it for use against the Jedi. Just depends if he's willing to take the risk.

Ahhh I don't trust that give its Papls. Mandos would be better. And well give why we are doing this? Recall Kiff the Sith.

Oh I'm aware, it's just he is still kind of our boss and backer even if we're planning to stab him in the back. Most of what we want, at least for now, is going to be sourced from him or have his oversight. It's why I was saying to spin it as anti Jedi while intending to use it on him.

Fair. Another reason why is it might hint to him we know and don't want to be used. So if we do it. Do it with Mandos.

It should also be noted that Jango doesn't currently know about Order 66 and the Sith's overall plan. He might find out in time one way or another, but right now, he has only been informed about the clone army.

I just figured the thought of "Oh, they're Sith. They probably want the Jedi dead." might come up, but if we need to do some digging and learn about the chips/order first I'm fine with waiting.

That is also true. But I don't think he wants his lads to die for the Sith. I might see him being ok with the Republic. But give the choice, I can't think him being them ok with there death for the Sith.
