Grand Army of the Republic: A Star Wars Plan Quest

Then I'll speak from my personal investment in them and not his. While wishing he would change his mind.
It's not like he doesn't care for them. He does them consider Mando'ade and has consistently responded negatively to suggestions of "decommissioning" some "defective units", instead spending valuable time and resources to help those clones affected. He just doesn't consider them to be his family.

And then there is that DEATH TRAP of a fighter that this jango went NOPE to.
Unlike the other options, the A-7 Hunter Interceptor wasn't produced by Rothana Heavy Engineering, but by its parent company, Kuat Drive Yards. Also unlike the other options, it was a piece of osik . It was reasonably cheap with a good amount of speed along with decent agility and targeting capabilities. On the other hand, it had no hyperdrive, no deflector shielding, poor armour and minimal life support with only a pair of laser cannons for firepower.

It was a cheap deathtrap that is meant to be mass produced and you would never fly one of these things given the choice. And you wouldn't wish it upon your clones though not doing so risks upsetting your bosses.
This was his opinion on the -1 quality wonder that was the A-7 Hunter. Only 'accepted' because the Sith insisted we get it, and would have been displeased had we not accepted it.

Not to mention that we rolled a natural 100 to cancel the contract. Which seems to be the only reason why we didn't lose approval.

I hope those pieces of scrap break apart and are recycled before the Clone Wars even begin. Which is merciful for that propaganda trash.

on top of that, the A-7 is better than most ties

man, what a piece of shit the tie figthers are

Tbf the TIE fighters/craft are modular multirole fighters, just the empire doctrine never bothered using the design beyond basic b*tch setting.

So no life support, no ejector system, no shields, no missiles, weak engines... You get the idea.

The tie defender, tie ace (what kylo ren uses in his flight scene in last jedi) and Tie Supremecy (think that's the name of the now none canon legends remnant empire tie design) are exceptionally dangerous ships and proof that if the design had been used properly the rebels would have gotten buggered against it.

A Tie defender is at least a match for a X wing (even if not directly which is debatable then in larger numbers certainly... Which the empire could have done if palpy wasn't obsessed on deathstars)

...Well, it also happened that the head of fighter-craft R&D decided to try and usurp the Emperor... 🤷‍♂️

Albeit he did that at least partly by unleashing the unholy terror that is the Missile Boat. Which then proceeded to sit in vaults doing nothing because the Emperor did not want to risk enemies of the Empire getting them. :D

Pretty sure it's because Palpatine didn't want to build more expensive fighters when he could be spending money on Superweapons that work once and then have their critical flaws exploited

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to you Ossha and to your ongoing Star Wars quest. May Jango succeed in his wildest dreams and that he and his confederates manage to get away before they become the scapegoats to the Sith. :):smile2:😀😃

The Sith always get the cool shit, from weapons to 'hero units' like Thrawn and Tarkin. Why can't the Jedi or Republic get more of such decent units- oh wait, it's probably because they constantly sabotage themselves, from the Ruusan Reformation to the New Republic bs on what counts as acceptable military numbers.

Considering what happens in Legends and Disney canon, no wonder they're so unsuccessful. Hopefully our surplus would be more than enough to compensate for their idiotic idealistic ideals.

Oh, please. What a basic and utterly wrong reading of the Franchise.

If you haven't noticed, all the 'cool shit' the Sith and the Empire get does not win them their Wars. For all their so-called 'effectiveness', they lose hard in the end. In the long run, they fail every time against the Efforts of the good Guys, who even if they get knocked down, rise up again no matter what. The Sith and their Empires are effective on a Surface-Level only. Beneath that, they are way more corrupt then the Republic was at it's worst. They sabotage themselves far more then the Republic and Jedi ever do.

So much for 'idiotic idealistic Ideals'. But hey, rampant Oppression and Mass-Genocide are oh so much better and more 'reasonable' and 'effective' then Freedom and Democracy, especially if they are done by People who 'look cool' while doing it, am I right? /s

Palpy set the Empire up to self destruct if he was ever removed in any way. This is completely normal for all Sith and you talk about the Jedi sabotaging themselves what with the Sith back stabbing syndrome?

Yet people seem to side with the Sith and the Empire, thinking that they can be better dictators and tyrants than working with the Jedi and the Republic.

And then there is the fact that chronic backstabbing syndrome tends to also be among their allies due to how the sith approve of it. They may have some very capable individuals, but when the govt is a den of vipers where assuming everyone wants to off you to get your spot is a survival strategy, it tends to not be good for overall effectiveness...

Here's the thing: The Sith and their Empires are usually very good at Propaganda and fooling People to believe in them, even while they are actually worse off under their rule then what came before.

Same goes for a lot of tyrannical Regimes in real Life. For example, Nazi Germany. If there was one thing the Nazis were experts at, it was Propaganda. They managed to make their regime look very good and successful to their own People, even as it grew more and more inefficient, wasteful and cruel by the day.

Same with the Empire and the Sith. They are Masters at putting up an Image, a facade of Stability and Efficiency in their Regimes, but beneath that, they are rotten to the core.

"The Separatist Crisis has begun. Led by the enigmatic Count of Serenno and former Jedi Master Yan Dooku, the Separatist Movement is rapidly gain momentum as it draws more and more of the Outer Rim to its banner," says the new reporter on the holoscreen, "Far from the protection and wealth of the rich Galactic Core, many systems within the Outer Rim and Mid Rim are being to place greater faith in self-determination to serve their needs rather than a Republic that they denounce as corrupt and uncaring. What the future holds is unknown, but combined with the rearmament of Judicial Forces, the expansion of the Corporate armies and navies and the mysterious purchaser of military equipment across the galaxy, many sentients feel that a new galactic war is just around the corner."
