Grand Army of the Republic: A Star Wars Plan Quest

wow,so we are better quality, faster growing clones

are we behind on numbers or gear?
Can't tell. The creation of the canon GAR is completely difference to this current one due to this one being set up to be done as gameplay. I can comment on final differences, but I am unable to compare your progress in how quickly or well you are getting things done as things are too different.

So Jango hates the Jedi almost as much as he hates the Sith, if not more due to Galidraan. Do we as Jango care if the chips exist to kill Jedi? I feel like we would disagree with the removal of free will part of the chip, but not the killing Jedi part.

Because the thread chose this as Jango's primary motive at the start of the quest:
[X] Kriff the Sith. Dooku was one of those responsible for Galidraan and while you thought that you had put all of that behind, old memories are stirring. Not to mention how the Sith have treated Mandalorian people in the past and, well, you can't help, but wonder what plans Darth Sidious and Darth Tyranus have for your people in their schemes.
The Sith want to use the chips to kill the Jedi so Jango is opposing that not because he cares about the Jedi, but because he wants to ruin the plans of the Sith and bring about their downfall.

i assume jango can see "the big picture" and can imagine what would happen if all jedis got killed by a sith lord

so his hate for the sith and pragmatism over how awful the galaxy would turn, overcome his hate for jedi

I think it's more the principle of the clones being made to backstab there nominal military superiors and then forced to spend the remainder of their lives serving as the strong arm of the sith imperium. It's all very sith, and jango is very "KRIFF NO!"

Also this. Jango is or at least tries to be honourable warrior and unlike in canon, he hasn't completely thrown aside his morals and honour. Because of this, the whole stripping the clones of their free will, forcing them to commit betrayals they would never do on their own and treating them as expendable meat droids is something that Jango finds disgusting.

The vote is still open.

Vote and discussion is pretty much over but just so you know we are now looking at an average of 4.4 dice required to finish chip implants with two turns left to process.

[X] Plan: No more osik paperwork

Wish I'd seen this Quest Sooner.

Open Seasons and Bounty Hunter are tied with KOTOR for my favorite pieces of Star Wars Media.

I see Mandos, I want to play. Doubly so if Jango is involved.

[X]Plan My poor genemods

Officers make an army and we need it. It might be worthwhile to grab trainers other than mandos. We might want people who have experience conducting large scale warfare and it feels like we'd only get that from Outer Rim and Corporate Sector veterans. I'm concerned mandos might be too focused on smaller scale operations. There's obviously going to be some growing pains once the war starts, but we can't have our entire army running around like they're elite commandos when they're not.

The talk of clans was concerning too. We don't want to set up divisions like that within our future army if we can help it. Interservice rivalry will already a thing, so we shouldn't compound on it further. Other than that, they're excellent trainers.

Jango has experience coordinating interplanetary-scale campaigns from his time as leader of the True Mandalorians during the Civil War.

It's not quite the Sector-Level, as no single faction controlled more than a handful of planets during the entire civil war, but it's close enough that he can extrapolate.

The Corporate Sector may not even exist at this time, depending on what canon the OP is going with. In the New Essential Chronology from the Old EU, the Corporate Sector was specifically created by Palpatine to reward those Corporate Executives that stayed loyal to the Republic during the Clone Wars.

I think if we needed to hire outside expertise, we'd be better off looking for Veterans of the Andoan Wars and the Stark Hyperspace War. Both of those were conflicts waged on the sector level and above.

Of course, the biggest issue is that most of those commanders who we could get who wouldn't immediately notify Republic Authorities about a Mandalorian Army being built on Kamino would eventually become Separatist Commanders like Admiral Trench.

That may not gel with the Army of the Republic very well.
