FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

I'll advocate for Orpheus again for anyone still on the fence, I feel like he'd be the most advantageous to grab. I feel like if we get to know him a bit more, we can get access to information on the Guild and more importantly, information on Dr. Venture. While Venture's probably indisposed at the moment, I don't think it's impossible to eventually get access to the Venture compound and potentially find some tech, or at the very least learn about one of the Monarch's sore spots. Getting access to the Order of the Triad, Orpheus' hero group, or at least learning about them could help us too, if they're not dead we might be looking at a decent future heroball.

On top of that, I hope that Father can see some interactions between Orpheus and his daughter and hopefully start to reconsider his own treatment of his children. I intend to stay a villain, but that doesn't mean we can't become a better and more functional person too.

If Orpheus isn't the point of contention for a lot of people, I'd also like to argue for the stock market over the news network. I'd love to get a network, possibly even next turn, but I think the stock exchange is more important now. It feels like the earlier we get into this the better, the candy-based economy is significant enough that Eddy thinks it's worth attempting cryptocurrency, and on the fun side of things I want to try and leverage candy letters of marque for people like Stickybeard.

Yep, plus if we are the first exchange we can get a lot of momentum as the main exchange hub, giving us the biggest chunk of the total market cap / trading volume. Consider real life where the majority of the trade is on the two biggest exchanges.

And doing news network after we could set up some economic analysis shows. How about a version of Mad Money but discussing the prices of various candies and sweets! Calling it Crazy Candy as a WIP name.

Well then. I suppose I should throw out some final words of promotion for Operation O.P.A.L as well!

As stated before, Hex is a master of the craft, a powerhouse in battle and a respected villain to boot. He'll be able to make many Occult avenues easier, especially for a certain action called "Look for Artifacts" since his primary source of power... comes from magic artifacts! Not to mention whatever he may have kept stored for future use; we can leverage that for our own gain. He also presents a connection to the Ben 10 side of things, possible info on other Ben 10 characters, and specifically Charmcaster who's ruling over her own territory in the East, and his relationship with his niece (no matter how good or bad it currently is) provides opportunities for character growth for both himself AND Father. And character growth = better narrative = more buffs! Not to mention if we play it right, we might have another King perfectly willing to ally and support us with all that she may command. Plus, I do feel like Father will get along better with an actual villanous magic user.

Now, let's talk about Stewardship. Unlike SHATTERPOINT's Candy Stock Market bit, I chose to put in Buying A News Network. Why? Because you can bet that Chris is trying to buy up as much media companies and brands as possible to help in his war of broadcasting against Moltar. Playing for keeps this turn will allow us a bigger menu of what to buy compared to next turn, give us access to potential resources that Chris might have plucked by next turn.

We don't even need candy for anything right now. It can safely wait a turn while we grab ourselves a means of information gathering and dissemination for ourselves early. Gotta set up that gossip network, see what we can peer into...

Future villainous plots for Father that I plan to pursue:
-Making cartoons for adults, the equivalent of R-rated. We'll have the excuse to exclude kids from watching TV the world over, and increase our media presence!
-Opium Wars but with coffee. Get some rigs up, find some far-off country led by a dumb king, and let their people get addicted to cheap coffee. Raise the price and take advantage!
-Get an in on the candy stock market, then send Common Cold to do a Goldfinger and contaminate major stockpiles. Not only will this drive the price of our own up, it could synergize nicely with my next idea:
-Start producing those old-fashioned violet candies again. Adults made them bad on purpose, as a joke, so we can give them to kids and make them disappointed.

Also, since people are still voting for P.A.L.M, if your reason for voting for it is the worry over the bad santas. Orpheus will be able to counter the vampire threat, and the more traditional bad santas like robo santa father should be able to handle himself. So the better of the two lead options for potential bad santas is imo Shatterpoint

Given apparently coffee can be drilled from the depths of the earth like oil, I wonder if we can somehow use it as a potential fuel source by creating a coffee engine. It'll be pretty handy, having a fuel source that isn't flammable.

You know what you need to produce cartoons to the public? A network! The ones that threaten Chris the most, I'd think, would be the ones he attempts to buy out early. So there's a higher chance we might get a more influential choice of a News Network if we take the action this turn :D

You could try to make giant hamsters so they can power larger generators, like Spelljammer's gnomes and their hamster-powered spacecraft.

Consider folks, how can we call ourselves a villain or an adult if we aren't lying to people by influencing the facts and stories in our favor?

You forgot the most important.

Steal all of America's Broccoli so we won't ever have to eat it again!

Why not genetically modify vegetables to taste good instead of horrible since we're making them taste shitty already?

Honesty, does anyone actually not like broccoli? Because I love the stuff and so do my kids, and most of the people I asked, just wondering if I didn't have a big enough sample size or it's just a myth

Whew, that was a really close vote. Long, hard battle, with points being tossed back and forth... jolly good show there. Alright, time for the dice rolls~!
