FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

Well done, Made In Heaven. You've thoroughly impressed me with your knowledge and probably have been placed on at least one additional watch-list.

For your efforts, I hereby give you one free question about the setting, game or story, which I may choose to accept to answer at my discretion.

Feel free to think it over!

Man I know this is necro but I can't help but post something. This quest is amazing and actually get me cheering for Father.

Out of all the Kings, only Father gets how utterly mess up the world has become. In fact he's possible the only King that's doing something to combat the Gems instead of offering token support like the others do, heck for he not even get why he's been hail as hero for combat alien invaders since for him is pure common sense that you fight them. Heck for the first time he may be scared of the KND now that they fighting without the guidance of the Book and we know by base game they will go tot he deep end.

Once this Quest restart, the next turn we should trow full support behind Weasel and start searching for Baboon because the guy is the only candidate that's smart enough to put the White House in order, lead the war effort and contest power from the other Kings while not being a puppet for anyone else. My bet is one of the Kings is behind Baboon disappearance since with him on power he will do his best to restore government authority and the best way to discourage him is to take his campaign mate.

Man the world really is mess up that Father has to be the one that has to put it in order.

I wouldn't say he's the only one who gets it, but the only one who's (to out knowledge) actively been adjusting in a way that isn't entirely selfish. Most of our actions have been for the betterment of the places around us in comparison to just getting more money or power.

I may have exaggerate a little but since most Kings in the base setting just taking advantage of this chaos to either profit or plotting to conquer the world, Father in this quest is the only one that don't see the world burning around him as... advantageous as the others.

In the end of day, Adult Supervillany is a special type of villains that work with the system, sometimes they are part of it, to achieve they agenda and this not something other villains get it, since all the others are criminals in one way or another. Notice that none of the Supervillains that show up in the funeral call Father a sellout or accuse him to go Superhero.

Frankly the likes of Mandark and Mendy deserve a bit of Adult Supervillany on they way considering all the stuff they do. Frankly if all the Kings in the world are acting as a bunch of spoiled children then Father will have to be the one to punish them.

Granted not all villains like this new age, I imagine that Monstruoso probably don't like the chaos around him as well since the end of the world is bad for business. The Guild don't like this new world as well but they decide to take the coward choice and declare neutrality despite the world falling apart around them since saving the world is not villainous. I imagine Father, if he ever get a meeting with the 13 Council and Monarch, would mention that, it's not being a hero but making sure there's a world around to live.

As bizarre as it is to say, Benedict standing up to and murdering his father has been really good for his growth as a person in the long run. It's pretty much the key moment that makes his transition from supervillain to anti-hero believable.

I truly can't believe that Patriarch is the father who stepped up for his country. Even though he's from the UK, but barring that-

"I usually only want to crush the dreams of children. And you can't do that if they're all dead!"
"But the cake and-"
"I said usually!"

"That was a bad day for me. Besides, I don't understand why people are treating me like a superhero for not wanting the world I live on to get conquered by aliens, or explode, or turned into mindless monsters, or whatever is happening this month! Just like I don't understand why it's a problem for me to work with the government in keeping that from happening! That doesn't make me a good guy, if it did, that would make your average politician a good guy by default!"

Speaking of this, I think it would be better to start cracking the Gem reactors to stop Mendy monopoly on energy, let's be fair a lot of people will be way more confortable in using stolen alien technology than Underworld energy on a good day. That little she-devil wants to conquer the world so at least we can do is trow a monkey wrench here and there.l ubtil we can come up with a way to take her out of comission permanent.

Last I recall we were trying to avoid going against Mandy too strongly since she's one of the more rational powers around mostly. (attempt at contacting The Lich aside)

Avoiding biting off more than we can chew in terms of enemies is somewhat important.

And we got problems with the KND crazed remnants, Mandark, the Guild's messing with us a bit but might actually be good for us, Katz's whole "humanitarian" foods issue, Black Hat's doing some remote annoyance and the whole alien invasion by the crystal aliens out to annihilate organic life thing.

Mandy kinda want to conquer the world, she is rational, true, but she very much wants to conquer the world so developing Gem Reactors would at least make sure she can't hold a monopoly in the Energy market plus it will attract a lot of investors since using demonic energy it's probably uncomfortable to a lot of people and they will be offer a viable alternative.

It's extremely important to not let her or Mandark free reign, this is why is also important to make sure Weasel to win the elections since the other candidate is a idiot and the other is a patsy for Mandy and possible terrorize Numbah 2 since he will have problems in integrating with the Think Tank since he will know Father is keeping tabs on him. She's going to come after us either way if Weasel win since we mess with her plans for the government.

CN is a very different beast from DVV since most Kings want this chaos to last as long it's possible since they profit from it one way or another but trying to stabilize the situation we make ourselves enemies from them. In fact the war is good thing for them, because as long the Gems are a threat to the world the US government will be fully focus on beating them but in the moment it stops, the Feds will turn they attention to the other Kings and try to put the house in order.

Also Mandy is really meddling with things she don't understand, she thinks she does but not really. If she was trying to summon the Lich than it would be a nightmare for all involved, the only motive it didn't happen was because a entity decided to stop her.

Sorry for the double post but I cook up this plan for next turn.

I come up with this little plan while waiting for the update, really hope this quest is not dead.

May as well start with the OSI assignment and review the PP is a good place to start, plus Father with Izzy should be a good place to start and give it's personal action to make sure it can be accomplished specially since next is likely still be under Cold Shoulder so he will have a a Martial Penalty so a extra roll is a good idea.

Since Izzy show is a DC of 70 Skips should be able to finish even with 15 Diplomacy. Also maybe it could start to make us more approachable to teens.

Hank for Assembly Lines since we should doe our best to reduce our mallus, We supposed to earn +3 in office stuff but since Adult.Co is inefficient we are also losing -3 so we get nothing plus it will somewhat reduce the DC of several actions and be able to patent this tech to the other Kings, not Mandy or Mandark since helping them is a bad idea.

Also sending our government agents to find Baboon to make sure Weasel be able to win the election, plus with synergy with them by being a government agents and looks like the Feds want the guy to win as well.

Since we unlock the Juvenile Mind may as well send the Professor to sudy since is possible that will reduce the DC for Teen Apeel and recruint the Teen Ninjas easier, since we will probably have a easier time understanding them, possible also lower the DC related to KND actions as well.

As for the Occult, may as well study the odd snake that mind controlled our guards and maybe learn who is assisting the KND. Do remind the KND is a global organization so they don't plague us, other Kings possible will start to have problems with them as well, specially after they slowly radicalization.

Continue of course with VenTech but with Alex instead of Izzy, plus maybe the "journalist" can give some help to Daphne.

I would interrogate Cain but is better to have something to ask him since the description mentions that we have to chose our words carefully so is better to have some kind of lead before ask him something. Also Daphne PA will unlock in Turn 8 so she can be used to investigate the Evo Breakout also going by her Hero Card she may have a bonus in investigations.

Since Father probably will still be in vindicate mood it would make sense he start to look at his... competition to see what will work for him.

Edit: Upon further though decided to change some actions and make Izzy work to build VenTech partnership and Skips to Review PP threat while Daphne with the help of Alex interrogate Cain, since the latter has a bonus in interrogation and working alongside woman plus it synergy very well with her PA in investigating the EVO break out.

Perhaps we shouldn't be dead set on making plans when we still have a few major interludes to get through.

Apologies for the complete absence. Work and real life has taken it's toll, obviously. But expect some sort of proper update... Soonish (tm). I'm aiming for a slow burn update style, starting some where in September. Maybe around the time the hiatus started!

Good to know this quest has not been declared dead. Frankly I find this quest recent and I love it.

This is just a place holder plan while waiting for the update, besides the OSI request us to fight one of the members of the PP so threat assessment is a priority and study the Juvinile mind is probably the path to lower the DC needed to Enhance Teen image and open the recruitment of Teen Ninjas, that possible will be a Heroball that specialize in Martial and Intrigue Actions and also make sure none of the other factions snatch them for themselves while also we need to investigate the Evo Breakout before the trail get's too cold and the responsible party finish covering they tracks and find Baboon to make sure Weasel wins the elections.
